I live close by and had passed it for years. My cousin recommended it to me.. my mini schnauzer looked awesome!!! Was super pleased w the the service Kong gave, the wait time and the little free Xmas accessory was super cute!! ! My doggy was so happy!! Definitely a great place for my Mini!!!!!!!

Let's start of by the owners horrible lack of customer services. Look through the reviews about his customer services and just look at the way he response to the reviews so horrible/unprofessional. It says a lot about his character. My first impression rude from the moment I stepped in didn't even feel welcomed not comfortable at all and that is where I should've marked the line and left but I decided to give it a try, I 100% regret taking my dog here my poor furry baby was acting strange for two days after his groomed and it's so strange because at the vet for his shots he comes out happy like nothing happen. I don't want to think or imagen what they did. I been keep a close eye on my puppy and spoiling him to get his energy back up. Over all the grooming wasn't that bad, he did have a nail that was overly cut. Point of story please be careful where you take your dogs and if you decide to bring them here look through all the reviews and really think about it. BEFORE THE OWNER REPLYS "FAKE ACCOUNT" or something along the words he reply's to peoples reviews all attach my receipt.

I wanted to leave an updated review for Kong's Pet & Grooming. After we left our dog there for her grooming and went to do adult tasking, after a call that she was ready for pick up, we headed quickly back to the location. But on a Friday afternoon, there so much build of traffic from our site to our dog. We arrived a little late (cell phones dead), a plead and apologized for the events and held up as it was a bit after 17:00 () Owner was more than generous in waving off late pick up fees. We love using this service and will keep using it.

WOW! I tried Kong's for the first time after years of going to another place. They did a great job with my poodle! He hasn't looked this good is a long. They are knowledgeable and do their best to give a good cut versus just shaving off all the hair. My doggy looked so fluffy and happy. They are also very fast with their service in comparison to other places. Because it was my dog's birthday, I also purchased some treats that were readily available and my dog LOVED them. My dog is usually picky with dog treats but he really loved these. Next time I will definitely purchase a dog cake!

Kong was amazing, he's extremely nice and honest, he listened to how exactly I wanted my Bichons cut to be. I picked up Nico and was very impressed, he smelled amazing and his cut was just how I wanted it to be. I would definitely recommend to bring your puppy here.

We have taken our dog Frito to Kong's for 10 years and have no complaints. Their grooming services are on point. We love supporting local businesses so it was a no brainer to take him there. Employees always willing to work with what you want. Very affordable prices!! They deal with all the aggressive dogs that are most likely rejected from other places. Very friendly staff! Made an appointment for my six month old terrier chihuahua mix and the man on the phone was very good and thorough making sure he was full vaccinated against doggy illnesses and let me know a approximate quota for the services I wanted. Was scared my little fur child would look like a rat, but he came out beautiful. My grandma and sister also love the services for their pets here. Definitely going to be our grooming spot. read more

Read the reviews as animal lovers going into a pet center do you really want someone rude treating your children(pets) the bad reviews are followed by even more rude answers instead of being apologetic. Called for prices and they were rude, gave them a second chance walked in and they were rude. They don't need your business take somewhere else like I did. No need to be that way. This is the second time I bring my dog here, but I'm disappointed with the result. I had asked to not trim the top of my dogs head, since we were letting it grow out to put on bows, and they trimmed it all off, saying that she had it tangled, which she didn't. Now we can't put any bows because of how short her hair is. It'll take a while to grow back. I would have appreciated if they asked first, since I'm her owner. Everything else was fine, but that was upsetting. She also looked very sad and stressed when we brought her home, which is also concerning. read more

Great service and prices! I took my puppy for his first grooming appointment and I couldn't be happier with how it all went. This place is great, very professional and they did a very nice job on both of my dogs! (which I took on two different days last week.) This is the 2nd time I take my Shih Tzu to Kong's. The 1st time I didn't appreciate the tone, but figured I'd judge the place based on the cut and it was ok. This 2nd time -as I described the haircut- he sounded so rude and instead of asking clarifying questions he said "I have no idea what you're talking about" but said he'd figure it out. 2 hours later all they did was shave down his body and his head/face hadn't been cleaned up as we discussed, but it was already late so I didn't fuss about it. When I got home I noticed my baby was licking himself and when I looked he had razor burn marks all over his belly down to his hind legs. I've been to several groomers and have never seen this or have anything like this happen. I'm never going back to Kongs! read more

I called last minute to get my chihuahua, Toni, groomed. They were very nice to take me on such short notice. I had been here before to have her nails clipped and she is a little feisty at times, so I was happy that they were able to handle her well. Anyway, it took 45 minutes to an hour and I just walked around the area while she was being groomed. When I returned, I bought some great snacks the owner helped me choose and a new leash that has a cute outfit attached to it. As for the grooming, Toni was extremely clean and shiny and the smell was so good. Even though she is a short hair dog, her fur was so soft and just cuddly to feel. I was and am very happy with her grooming and treatment at Kong's grooming. I recommend them dearly. read more

I have brought my son here since he was old enough to be groomed. They take their time, always a clean cut no matter the style requested. The treats are great, my pup enjoys them. Great staff, friendly, Mr. Kong knows his stuff, always giving helpful tips and advice on the questions that I ask. The price is great. I have been taking my dog (Stitch) here for a while. First time I came I didn't know what kind of haircut to get for my dog all I know is that I wanted it short and when I came to pick up my dog it was beyond my expectation. Kong did such a perfect job that we have been going to him since my first time which was around December 2019 and his prices are so affordable, it's not expensive at all. If you want to best service as well it's best if you make an appointment and its better. Stitch loves coming here and he's so happy after his haircut, the whole day he's feeling himself. read more

We booked an appointment on 4/20 around 11:30am for the following day (today) 4/21 at 12:15pm. The appointment was approved and confirmed at 12:20pm on 4/20. Per the recommendation of our last groomer, we now give our dog Trazadone to help calm him otherwise he is impossible to work on. So anticipating our upcoming appointment with Angel at 12:15pm, we start administering his medication around 10:30am to give it time to kick in. When we arrived to the salon, its unexpectedly closed and we had to call the business to find out it is closed and he/they are apparently already booked out. No notice ahead of time, no phone call, nothing. I am extremely disappointed and think it's unacceptable to treat clientele like this, but especially because I medicated my dog for a service and this business lacks the courtesy and regard to notify their customers.

I saw some of these idiotic complaints from my dogs favorite store and I have to say something to defend them. Took my pup in again, they did a great job!! Took about 3 hours, looked good, smells great, and price was fair. I've been to this shop for over 5 years, ever since they were in Maywood and I've always loved it. Awesome selection of clothes. Nice, neat and clean. Always there it help or offer some advice whenever I need it. Sometimes I walk in but I recommend an appointment or at least a call, just in case. Street parking. He told me to take my business elsewhere, that he did not need my business so I called him stupid and he called me an illegal immigrant. He comes from China or but calls me illegal.
