I should have gone with my gut and ordered from a trusted vendor in my city. I ordered my bridesmaid's dress from here. I followed their rules, submitted my measurements and had a consultation. During the consultation they asked some very pointed questions and amended their suggestion for dress sizes based on my answers. I went with their suggestion as I don't know the designer and am not looking to stress myself out by having a dress that doesn't fit. The dress arrived and it is 3 INCHES too SMALL. I even LOST 20 lbs from the time I ordered. When I called, they were sympathetic and found scraps from the other girls dresses. Here's the ridiculous part - they don't ship anything, period. I understand if it is a dress, accessory, etc. or anything in that category. I do not understand the unwillingness to budge when we are talking about scraps of fabric you cut from other girls hems. I was also told the dress would not need extra length and would accommodate my 3 in heels. WRONG. I have to purchase new shoes that are about 1 in so the dress stays an appropriate length. Unfortunately, there is no one remotely near the location to pick it up. Instead of amending their policies to send scraps of fabric to a customer they obviously screwed up an order on, they put the onus on me told me it was my fault for "choosing" an incorrect dress size and that the person on the phone "didn't do anything so why am I being rude to her." I had been polite until the point that they refused to ship fabric. I was a little more forceful and explained how this was poor customer service because they screwed up the order and are refusing to accommodate an out of state customer. I am truly saddened when my hard earned money goes to a company who could give zero cents about customer service. From previous reviews, it looks like this place can't get their sizing straight. I would use extreme caution ordering from this company if they are not within relatively easing driving distance, so you can go back and let them fix their mistakes. read more

The staff is incredible friendly and honestly I was having second thoughts because people post bad reviews about the staff, they are incredible nice and they have an great variety for bridesmaid dresses! This place looks like a bomb went off. If it wasn't for them carrying a specific designer the bride was looking for, we would have never stepped foot in here. There are literally hundreds of dresses (if not more) and they are all just shoved on racks. They are supposed to be broken up by designer, but it was a total mess. Although we had an appointment, there was no one really helping us. I just started pulling dresses the bride liked and just jumped into a dressing room. Finally when someone saw me struggling to keep the dress on they came and clipped me. Overall, this was an overwhelming, lackluster experience. Although we did end up purchasing our dresses through them, the level of service left me with a bad taste in my mouth. read more

This place is a hot mess! We came in on Saturday morning looking at bridesmaid dresses. We got there on time and stood there while the bridal consultants were rushing around helping others and kept telling us to wait. When it was our turn- we were told to just select some dresses and we could try them on later and they would go over the color swatches with us. Basically, i would describe this place as Bridal TJ Maxs. All these dresses are on racks barely organized. I mean...maybe they had organized them by designer, but it was very hard to tell. As for trying the dresses on...nobody was there to help the BM's clip the dresses so it was hard to tell what anything would look like. Overall the entire experience was very hands-off so if you're a control freak its a good place to go, but if you need some assistance with the dresses and some product knowledge this may not be the place to go. One plus is that the alterations are included into the price of the dress if you have 2 or more bridesmaids buy from there. Not really sure if that is a discount. read more

I decided against purchasing my dress from Konja's after seeing the large collections at other boutiques. Also other stores have better accessibility to ordering sample dresses not in stock to actually try on. I don't know any bride willing to pay for a dress that they've never tried on in person. They weren't pushy at all but not necessarily friendly or genuine, which mattered to me. read more

Is this a store that you would see on Yes to the Dress - no. But that doesn't mean the store can't deliver. The bride found Konja's Bridal and had us sift through a few of the bridesmaid dresses through various online sites before going. When we arrived for our appointment the staff was extremely friendly. We asked her if she had and hi-low dresses and she helped find some from our list. We also sifted through the racks of dresses - which are organized by the company that makes them. While it can seem like overload - it's really helpful in identifying what you do and don't want. The best thing about Konja's is that the alterations are included in the price - no spending $200 on a dress and then another $200 for alterations. This makes everything worth it. Good staff and alterations are included. I will definitely being using Konja's when I get married. read more

I have had 3 dresses from Konja's for wedding's that I have been in. All have had horrid alterations. The most recent alterations were awful. None of the boning in the dresses were adjusted in any of the bridesmaids dresses to fit our bodies- so the curve where the bust was in the dress did not line up with our actual busts. Also when I put the dress on for my brother's wedding I noticed a huge hole in the front of the dress (see uploaded pictures for details). This went unnoticed at the store because of the pleating in the dress which had a flowy shirt. Konja's is not taking any responsibility. I do take fault in that I should have inspected the entirety of the dress before i left the store with it. However, I feel at a "reputable" bridal store once should not have to inspect every single inch of the dress. I also have been in Konja's multiple times due to being a bridesmaids. The staff are rude and unpleasant. Every experience and interaction I have had there has been awful. I have given them chance after chance to prove they weren't as bad as my last experience and they have failed on all levels. I will never again go back and I recommend you do not as well. read more

I came here to try on a bridesmaid dress I was interested in ordering for myself to wear to my cousin's wedding. I called ahead to see if they had the exact dress I was looking for and then made an appointment to try it on. When I arrived for my appointment I noticed the place looked extremely disorganized and dirty. It wouldn't hurt them to organize their racks every once in a while. When I walked up to speak to the girl at the counter she seemed confused as to who I was and what dress I was looking for. The girl helping me finally surfaced with the dress after 10 minutes and I tried it on. The fitting room weirded me out a bit since it isn't exactly very private. It's very small with a short curtain hanging over the opening. I was very uncomfortable. I ended up not really liking the dress as much as I thought I would. The sales girl gave me her card and kept pushing the fact that larger parties get a discount. Overall, my experience wasn't exactly what I would have hoped for. This place made my wedding dress shopping the least stressful part of my wedding planning experience! I am so happy with the service I received and the dress I chose from them! They were able to do tailoring at a reasonable price and work to find my dress which had been discontinued in the style I tried on. I am not into big fluffy gowns and they were able to help me pick one that is perfect! The ladies made my dress shopping experience much more tolerable than I had expected. read more

My alterations were absolutely horrific. They cut my dress short in the back so my butt showed, took it in so much on the sides that it wouldn't zip by 4 or 5 inches (I bought it large) Never again! read more

I had a great experience at Konja's. We bought the bridesmaid dresses for my wedding there and the bridesmaid dress for another wedding (on rush and they got it in with plenty of time). The best thing was that they didn't charge for alterations, which can sometimes cost as much as the dress. And, even though they were free, the alterations held up better than the costly alterations on my high end wedding dress which I had purchased from another store. You definitely need an appt. to try on dresses, but when you have one, they're very helpful during your appt. I've only had good experiences there. read more

Hot mess of a store! Walked in there without an appointment on a Saturday and were greeted upon entering. Told the girl we were shopping for bridesmaids dresses and she rudely said "you can look but you can't try anything on without an appt. We continued to look for close to ten minutes through racks that are less organized then the tj maxx clearance section. Not one person walked up and asked us if we had any questions. They just lost out on an order of a bridal gown, 8 bridesmaid dresses, 2 mother in law dresses, flower girl dress and accessories. As a 10 year veteran in high end retail i know what good customer service should be. I would rather pay double then to ever walk into that store again. This was the worst service I have ever encountered! The women were rude and did not help as I stood in my dress for 20 minutes waiting to find out about the sizing. After I finally asked for help a women then told me she didn't do measurements and would grab her manager. Then told me to remove the dress. Once I got my measurements I told her they were wrong and I got measured at another store and gave her those sizes. She was rude about this and then told me that place was wrong. The dress I tried on was a 12 and was swimming on me. She proceeded to tell me the dress size I needed was a 12. I told her about how large the dress I tried on was and she told me she didn't see it on me so she didn't know... She should have asked to see the dress on me and offer to help me with the sizing so I could order the dress. The place was also a hott mess, unorganized, and the floor was so disgusting I had to put my shoes back on. I wouldn't recommend anyone going here when there are so many other better places around. read more

When they called her, she was told she would have to pay for the rush fee because the order was recorded 20 min after close. I really liked the selection of bridesmaid dresses they had. The bridemaids will have the same style dress but with a top part of the dress and Konja's carries a designer that does that. Once we found a few dresses that we liked, the ladies were very helpful in picking out other dresses that they thought we would like. read more

What a refreshing experience. I looked at several different places for my dress as well as my bridesmaid dresses and this place was hands down THEE BEST!!! They were VERY helpful and NOT stuffy or rude like some other bridal stores in Birmingham and surrounding area's. Faye was especially nice and always greeted us with a smile. Yesterday I went wedding dress shopping for the first time. I had appointments at two different bridal salons. The first was at Konjas. Here are some details about my experience: Dress Selection - Konjas had a pretty decent variety of gowns. I was looking for something vintage and romantic, with lots of lace. After trying on about 10 or 12 different dresses, I narrowed it down to my top 2. The first was a keyhole back, full lace mermaid gown. I believe it was $899...I remember it was definitely under $1,000. The second was a beautiful A-line dress with a lace neckline. This was my favorite one. The price was $2,290. Customer Service - The consultant who worked with us was helpful. She seemed to have a pretty good idea of what I was looking for. She was friendly enough and I felt comfortable with her. Why only a 2 star rating? I brought my mother, two sisters and my maid of honor to the appointment. They all sat on a couch across from the stage where I modeled each dress. I came out in my first dress, which had an open back. I wasn't able to get a clear view of it in the mirrors, so my maid of honor took a photo on her phone. She proceeded to show me the photo so I could get a better view. Our bridal consultant immediately said, "No photos, sorry!" She went on to explain that no photography of the gowns was acceptable, until after purchase. I was heartbroken because my grandmother who lives in Florida was paying for my dress. She asked that I take lots of photos. Why would I ask my grandmother to spend potentially thousands of dollars on a dress before she even got to see it? My consultant told me I could view the styles online...but she never gave me the item numbers so I could look them up. The only purpose I could see for the "no photo" rule, would be if the gowns were originals. They might be worried about imitators. These gowns were not originals, so I don't see the concern. The very next salon we went to actually encouraged photos! They even had a photographer available to capture photos of your special moment. In conclusion, the fact that I was not allowed to take photos for my grandmother was the reason I did not purchase a gown through Konjas. It's an unfortunate rule, because we had a lot of fun snapping pics at the next appointment. I'm happy to say I did find my dream dress at our next appointment! My grandmother confidently payed for it over the phone after being able to view it herself. read more

I've been there 3 times for bridesmaid dresses and my last experience was horrible. They suggested I order the dress bigger (3x times my normal dress size) got the dress and I could literally stuff watermelons into the top of it! Had to go back 3 times to have it altered after the 4 time I was soo frustrated with them I just took the dress home. I ended up taking the dress to a seamstress who fixed the dress and couldn't believe the hack job they did. read more

The website and store clearly have posted you need an appointment. I made an appointment in advance for bridesmaids and my own wedding dress. We had all dresses picked out, measured and paid for in under 3 hours! The staff was friendly and helpful. We went in with style numbers, they pulled the dressed and similar ones from other designers. The store is small so it isn't very organized but the staff is helpful and did a great job pulling dresses. read more

This place really deserves no stars. Warning....Don't spend one cent at Konja's Bridal Salon. Purchased a brides maid dress and it was the worst experience ever. It started with the alterations or the lack thereof. After the first fitting I retuned to the salon for my final fitting. To my horror my dress did not fit properly in the bust area. The dress was layered with chiffon so the under dress portion was what needed to be altered, but no one seemed to listen to what I was telling them. They altered the dress at the shoulders which really wasn't an alteration. They gathered the shoulder seems and ran a stitch across which twisted the shoulder portion of the dress unevenly. I retuned four times and each of the four times the dress did not fit properly. Two weeks before the wedding I took apart "Konja's alterations" and altered the dress by hand. read more

Don't even waste your time, this place is a disaster. We have been searching for bridesmaid dresses so we made an appointment at Konja. When we walked in the female at the counter was extremely rude, she asked if we made an appointment, we said yes and then she slid us a piece of paper and told us to sign in. We waited at the counter and another employee comes over about 10 mins later and she rudely says "did you sign in?" we said yes and she then asks why we are there, she tells us that dresses discontinue and said these are our racks of dresses and their are more in the back room you can go look around. While she was rudely talking to us, the other girl we spoke with earlier came around the counter and was glaring at us and give us dirty looks. We started looking at the first rack of dresses and it was a complete cluster, the dresses were all crammed and shoved on this rack. Dresses where shoved together and some were completely falling of the hanger. It looked like they attempted to organize their dresses by color but it wasn't even close, I think a four year old child could have done a better job than them. We were probably there for about 10 minutes, looked at one rack and decided to just leave there because it was so overwhelming and disorganized. Not one person asked us if they could help us find something or help us out. After seeing how disorganized the store was and how they treat their products will makes me wonder if they even care about their business. I do not even understand how they stay in business or why people would even give them their business. read more
