It's the one of the most popular drinks. So loved it. If I have to order it for myself, I'll ask for less sugarcane cause I'm more sensitive to it. - $7 Pennywort and young coconut comes with small coconut shreds to snack on after AND no sweetener. Most places actually add too much sweetener. I'll probably ask for a tiny amount of sugarcane next time in this to balance the taste out. Place is full of goodies: - Drink fruits to some actually tropical fruits sold here are soursop (I got 2 to take home), jackfruit, kumquat, pennywort, passion fruit, sapodilla, durian, mango and more. - Fridges are stocked with goodies. They were ready to eat, cut Papaya $10, jackfruit $10, mango $5-$10, and durian. $10 for larger box size. Theres also passion fruit in a cup. There are individual merchandise and food vendors along the front inside of store. They carry many different international dry goods, perishable food items, fresh produce, meat and seafood, frozen items, and so much more. You can spend hours shopping here. Most recently, my Mom and I came to checkout the sugarcane juice vendor. We got ourselves one large cup with ice for $7. It is $12 if you want no ice. You have to pay more money if you want all juice. Sugarcane juice tasted refreshing and sweet. I would get it again with no ice next time. I may just bring my own ice or drink it as is.

Thuan Phat is a typical Vietnamese market in this sense. You can get most of the ingredients a Chinese family needs. Their fried or dried pork skin is actually much better than what I have found in most Chinese grocery stores. But again, only buy what you know. You need to know the quality, and you need to know how to process it. This Thuan Phat also has several tanks and a full seafood counter for live seafood, including crabs, tilapia, and other fish. The prices are lower than at many Chinese markets, and honestly, the quality is not bad at all.

If you tell the staff you need the chicken for praying they will look for one that isn't butchered "so intensely," one that is "more presentable." Sometimes they'll hold up the chicken for you to see before they bag it. There are a handful of poultry shops in this area and this one seems to have chicken that are more plump than others.
