We ordered from Koozina in Milton for the first time tonight through Uber Eats and tried the chicken souvlaki and the mixed grill, with extra tzatziki and baklava. There was a small hiccup, the tzatziki, baklava, and Greek salad were missing from the order. I called the Uber driver, who unfortunately wasn't much help. Then I called the restaurant, and they went above and beyond by personally delivering the missing items to our door within 20 minutes. Truly amazing customer service. The food was absolutely delicious, and now that we've had the full experience, we'll definitely be ordering again, but next time, we're dining in. Food is always excellent and fresh. unfortunately the service is poor. you ask for garlic on the side, not on the dish, and they do it regardless. as well as this, the wait for food is quite long. 25 minutes for a shawarma, however good it is, is not worth it. especially if they cannot make it correctly. sad to say I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Spent the day hiking around Rattlesnake Point and was in the mood for something healthy but filling. My better half made the recommendation to visit this place as she had been once before. The restaurant is located in a small plaza on Ontario street. We got here at 4pm and the place was empty. It's Good Friday after all so wasn't expecting it to be crazy busy and thank goodness it wasn't. Ordered the Shawarma dinner. It's served with a healthy portion of Shawarma, a Greek salad, rice and potatoes. The portion itself was huge. It did take a good little while to receive the food but that's likely cause my better half likes her chicken well done. The Shawarma itself was very tasty. A lot of Shawarma places don't invest in tasty meat, but the Shawarma here was very good. There was a large portion of Greek salad served with cucumbers, tomatoes, feta cheese and some olives. The flavours were great and the salad was perfectly dressed with some delicious dressing. The rice was just the right amount and was delicious as well. Not too much where you think "why are they trying to fill me up on rice' - very well balanced. We were also served a nice garlic sauce, which went well with the hot bread they serve with the dinner. I came here with a friend and was pleasantly surprised, as the place does not look like much from the outside but has a friendly atmosphere, great staff and even better food. I really liked that I could see them making all of our food, that is always an ease on my mind! I ordered the vegetarian plate, which was huge! It came with a salad, hummus, four falafel and baba ganoush. All of this plus some pita and the meal was a huge hit! The dips were smooth, tasty and fresh. I am not a fan of hummus but this was really good and I finished my entire plate! I do have one small complaint in regards to the food; not enough pita for the amount of dip I was given. Went here for dinner with my family after reading some of the reviews. The food is fantastic! The falafel were crisp and hot but soft on the inside. The platters were sumptuous. Only thing I would recommend is to cut down on the rice, potatoes and salad served on the platter, and cut the costs as applicable. The portions were very large. Get an LLBO license so people can have a beer or wine with their food. Please visit this place and try some of the best falafel that I have had in a long time. read more

After seeing some positive reviews about this place, we thought we'd give it a try. We tried the chicken on the rocks here in the summer and while it was okay, the portion of rice to chicken was disappointing. The container was full of rice and like less than a quarter of chicken with some sauce. The rice was thicker than we're used to and the taste overall was alright (especially if you're hungry) but missing something. It also costs more than Lazeez or Osmow's, who make the same dish but better. Likely won't be back. read more

Came here randomly as I was looking for a post-workout meal. I had the lamb dinner and ordered extra lamb, while putting in a separate order for a gyros. The dinner I chose came with a side of potatoes, rice, and green peppers (all very tasty). It also came with a Greek salad. Considering I ordered extra lamb, the portion wasn't extremely generous.. but adequate. The gyros was pleasantly well put together, not soggy by any means. Tried the chicken on the rocks - what a disappointment! Nothing special or tasty about the dish. The garlic sauce becomes lumpy as you're eating. I've tried this place twice (first time was ok enough to warrant a second try) but never going back. The owner seemed more interested in chatting with his friends than serving customers. I asked for a fork for takeout and the owner made a remark along the lines of "you should get chopsticks! ha ha ha" (I'm Asian, hence the chopsticks joke and even racist comment). Never again. I have been feeling gross four hours since eating there and all I had was the vegetarian plate. The pita was dry and tasted burnt yet no burn marks. That burnt taste took over tasting the hummus or baba ganoush. So I put down the dry burnt crispy pita and tried the dips without. Still not great. Hummus was okay at best. And assorted pickle apparently means some slivers of a dill pickle. I didn't try the meat dishes. They could possibly be better. But what I had was so simple and was still not worth ever trying again. Also screaming children should not be running around the restaurant when you have customers. I almost didn't even order because of that. I have full reason to believe half the positive reviews are relatives of the owners. Trip advisor has quite the honest review. I went to this place before it became Koozina; once it was Koozina, I just dropped in, without realizing that it had changed owners and style of food. I consider myself lucky, because since my first visit to the "Koozina" I have been back at least 15 times, became friends with Akram, the owner, and have introduced a whole bunch of my friends to this place; they all love it! I have, on a regular basis, the Gyro dinner with rice, salad and potatoes, without olives and I am sure that I have not eaten a better Gyro, since I visited Rhodos nearly 40 years ago. Second attempt! Came here last night, just an hour before closing and the owner and 2 other guys were working. The owner is very nice and gives good customer service like I said before and he actually interacts with people, has small talk, makes them feel comfortable. I didn't order vegetarian this time, instead I got the Chicken Shawarma wrap (Pita) Combo... It it came with a pop and fries. I also asked for a Sample of the Gyro meat and the guy was very kind do to that for me, he even put it on the stove and warmed up that average sized piece for me, when he could of just sliced it off and gave it to me as is... I'm not kidding he warmed up that piece , til it was nice and Hot! He even added a bit of Taziki Sauce on it and the sauce itself was So Delicious! I regret not getting the Gyro wrap instead... It was so Delicious and Flavorful, like bursting with Flavor Flavorful! I told them I wanted take out but I ended up eating in, instead and they didn't care, lol. The chicken Shawarma was decent, it had flavor but it wasn't over powering, very light in taste, I asked for Extra Hot Sauce and Extra Creamy Sauce that they put on it and I should have asked for the Mild sauce because the Hot sauce was a bit to spicy for me, haha... I don't know why I even did that to myself, but I still managed to eat 95% of it, it's pretty Big for what you pay for, definitely worth it and Filling! That Gyro was soo good, I think I'm going to have to go this week, just to get a taste of that delicious Gyro... Yum!
