Korean Garden is a small and cozy strip mall restaurant with just enough table area for regular seating and a separate little space for special occasion dining. We ordered iced tea to sip while configuring our menu selection...we'd already established some of these goodies would be taken home...yet we of had to give it a taste first. To enjoy as we sat at our table and took in the subtle ambiance, my son chose the Spicy Beef Ramen and I the Short Rib Stew. Both our selections were seriously delicious and yum yum yummy to say the least!! As additions to accompany this absolute goodness we were already experiencing, we ordered some Fried Pork Dumplings...crunchy and delectable! The Beef Bulgogi...son almost lost focus on his Ramen lol the beef was sooo good!! Sweet and Sour Pork...the aroma alone will pull you in and the flavor will make you want more...that sauce!!! And lastly the Shrimp Fried Rice...Not overly done with soy sauce and saltiness...instead flavorful and delicious!! Delicious, homey Korean restaurant that can be easy to overlook when driving past the shopping plaza it's tucked into. Interior is cozy and simply decorated. The coziness did start to feel cramped once the restaurant started getting full for lunch though; it might have just been our specific seats, but we had to shift our party's table to avoid my side touching the customers sitting at the next table. Service was otherwise great and food came out in a timely manner. Everything was delicious. We all enjoyed the japchae and bulgogi, and I personally really liked the seafood jeon even though I thought it was a bit thicker/eggier than I prefer. Banchan was all delicious, but the portions were slightly less generous than what I've come to grow used to at other Korean restaurants. Made a rare trip to T-town today and decided to give Korea Garden a shot for lunch. I had bulgogi on the brain, but wanted someplace new, so this was it. As it turns out, the bulgogi yen got kicked to the curb by all the pictures of the stir fried pork belly and squid in other reviews, so I decided that was the fare for the day. Seating was prompt and the young man was prompt with a drink and a menu. While not huge, there are enough options to please just about anyone, in a variety of price ranges to boot. For today, I restrained myself with a starter of fried pork dumplings and the aforementioned stir fried pork belly and squid. The dumplings are arguably an appetizer, since there were nearly a dozen of them in the order. I could have almost made a meal of just those alone, and been quite happy. In short order, the entree and all the trimmings arrived. I won't begin to guess what the banchan sides consist of, but they're all good. The entree itself was very well done. A couple of the pieces of squid were a little chewy, but overall, properly cooked. The pork belly slices were tender and well seasoned and the overall dish nicely balanced with just a taste of heat. I regret that I did leave a couple of the dumplings behind.... I just couldn't find room. Very enjoyable experience with good food and great service. I highly recommend Korea Garden. read more

The food in this place is really good when available. Been in here dining a few times and in the middle of ordering they'd say they're out and most the time is as simple as rice and chilies. I recently had a truly appalling experience here that left me, and my entire party of seven, completely embarrassed and frustrated. We arrived about two hours before closing, which should have been plenty of time for a proper meal. As the only vegan in the group, I was limited to the single appropriate entrée: the vegetable fried rice with added tofu. I placed my order and the waitress seemed very sweet and that it would be easy to add tofu to this dish. Some other employee (not our waitress, someone that seemed like a manager or owner) informed me, only after the rest of my party had received and were halfway through their meals, that they had run out of rice. They then flatly refused to make more to prepare my meal. The timing of this revelation was awful; my friends felt so bad that they stopped eating their own food. Hoping to salvage the situation, I asked if the kitchen could prepare a simple alternative--vegetables and noodles--so I could at least eat something while my friends were finishing. Their response was unbelievable. They was super rude and said the cooks refused to make anything else for me. They made it explicitly clear that the kitchen simply didn't want to bother. The service was slow and incredibly rude. The complete lack of accommodation for a dietary restriction, even for a simple, modified dish, was shocking. It was not only embarrassing for me but completely ruined the entire dining experience for everyone at our table. A restaurant that runs out of a staple like rice so early and then treats a paying customer with such disdain and refusal to offer any solution simply doesn't deserve business. I cannot recommend this place to anyone, especially those with dietary needs. We went to Kirin Japanese after and I had amazing Mapo Tofu with phenomenal service. We ordered the #2 Mandu (pork) Fried Dumplings, #35 Stir Fried Bulgogi and Noodles, #47 Spicy Kimchi Pancake, and #20 Spicy Beef Soup with cup of white rice. Kat brought out Banchan (5 different small bowls of spicy/pickled vegetables for two people) with our order. The dumplings were great, entrees were good, the soup was hotº all the way to the bottom and the spicy cucumbers (Banchan) were crunchy and tasty! My only problem was a young couple at the table behind me talking to a man on a cell phone with their speaker turned up loudly. read more

the restaurant is cleanly and well lit. the area is spaced well despite being a smaller establishment. service could use *some* work. we had to ask for refills and they didn't remember our initial request for extra kimchi, to which i had to ask for to both servers. they appeared to be hesitant to fulfill that request, so not sure what that was about. the food is definitely amazing, however, and is primarily where i rest my score. each bite contains full flavor and servings are generous compared to other places. don't hesitate to stop here if you're looking for amazing korean food. read more

We recently discovered this little gem in Tulsa and now it will be our go to place when we are craving Korean food! The menu is very extensive and everything we tried that day was delicious! We started with the seafood pancake which was delightful. The banchan (side dishes) selection is pretty good as well. My wife got the bibimbap rice dish and really enjoyed it! I couldn't chose and picked both the spicy seafood soft tofu stew and the bulgogi. The spicy seafood stew was amazing, just enough heat and full of flavor. It tastes great as a stand alone or even with a little white rice. The bulgogi was really tasty, this is a pretty popular choice at Korean restaurants and this place has definitely a good handle on this classic dish. The taste of this one was definitely different from Seoul Bistro. It had a deep hot pepper paste sort of profile. Served with a slaw with Mayo sort of sauce. 5/5 Stirfried Squid/pork belly: Pork belly slices, squid slices, cabbage, carrots, onions in a nice and mild sauce. It says spicy, but I felt like it was more of a mild spice. So good! There was a lot of meat and I love that! 4/5. Rib stew: Seasoned so well! The broth was hearty, hot, and yum! Rib meat was big, plentiful, and so tender. Your elderly parents would enjoy this if they are into clear broth soups. My husband loved it! They gave us Banchan sides and steamed rice too! I came here with a friend yesterday and was SO excited to see an authentic Korean restaurant in Tulsa! We ordered a smattering of dishes that reminded me of my years living in South Korea. Highlights below: -Dolsot bibimbap: My absolute favorite dish, and it was just right. No complaints here. -Veggie mandu: The skin was soft, maybe a bit softer than normal but these were quite nice and had the appropriate accompanying dipping sauce. -Ddeokbokki: Mmm. I thought this could have been a bit spicier, but there was certainly nothing wrong with it. -Banchan: The main point here is that they brought banchan, which some places try to be shady and not do. There were bean sprouts, spicy radish, spicy cucumber, potato, and of course, kimchi. The only thing missing was some soju (just kidding, my soju days are mostly over). I'm happy to have discovered Korean Garden, and my friend enjoyed it so much that she is already recommending it to others! read more

Today was Yangneom Chicken a Korean-style fried chicken with a light, crispy breading that's smothered in a sweet and spicy red chili sauce, and Chicken Fried Rice. Both meals accompanied with a small Korean-style salad and a delicious variety of Banchan! Other than the fact that the food was delicious, the other thing that I appreciated was the restaurant wrapped up the main dish in paper. This helps to keep the food warm and keeps the whole thing from turning in to one big scrambled mess from the ride home. Inside the restaurant I noticed that the restaurant had placed the tables a comfortable distance apart and the server was wearing a mask. This restaurant has always been clean and well kept up. Best Dolsot Bibimbap! Stone pot was perfectly hot. Crispied the bottom of the rice. Right amount of sesame oil and seasoning. The taste was great! They even serve a side of miso broth with the dolsot bibimbap because sometimes you need a little soup to help with a delicious rice entree. That was a great idea on their part. I have been to many other Korean restaurants and they don't really do that. A little background history, my husband and I have been going to this place for over 10 years until a year ago, we stopped. I don't know if management changed or the chef. The food was different. The tastes were off and even bland. That was not the case today. We had amazing service and food was amazing! I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have army stew in the menu. I think it is listed as soldier stew. Anyway, it's a stew made with ham, sausage, tofu and kimchi. It convinced my friend that tofu can taste good after she tasted the tofu in the stew. That's quite a feat if you ask me. The beef bulgogi and banchan (small side dishes) were delicious too. I think the main difference between Korean Garden and Seoul Bistro is that Korean Garden is open on Sundays. read more
