Most things you will read on the internet will be negative about most places people go to, eat see, or live. I came here with fully knowing that I will be in an apartment setting and would have some adjustment from a private residence. Well, I am a happy resident of Salem Harbour and very fortunate that those who live in my building are conscientious of others. Apartments are designed perfectly for what I was looking for. Very roomy. Most closet space ever. Pool Team are always eager to help you. Being able to take leisurely walks around the perimeter while enjoying the river front setting...for me is priceless. When I explained there were websites indicating availability AND that we were contacted by the office to tour one of the available units, he told us we should go somewhere else to find an apartment. As nice as the pictures are, I would not rent here. If this is the reception a potential resident received, I cannot imagine how they treat people once they have the tenant's money.

Management is completely lacking in transparency and seems more focused on squeezing extra money out of residents than actually maintaining the property or providing decent service. Maintenance requests take forever to get addressed, if they get addressed at all. Simple issues drag on for weeks, and communication is terrible throughout the process. Every year this place has gotten noticeably worse -- poorer upkeep, worse management, and an overall decline in quality while rent and fees continue to increase. The staff acts indifferent to resident concerns, and trying to get clear answers about billing or policies is frustrating and exhausting. For the amount they charge, the living experience is nowhere close to acceptable. There are far better places to live that actually value their tenants and maintain their property properly. Honestly, moving out was the best part of living here. I'm incredibly relieved to be done dealing with this complex and would never recommend it to anyone looking for a stress-free place to live.

At the time of her slip and fall none of the walkways were shoveled, the snow just began to accumulate on the ground so it was not shoveled or salted yet. About 2 hours passed I went back outside to get my grand daughters toy out of the car and noticed they must have received my call because they came by and the walk way was cleared and salt was down. Monday came and gone, mind you I have a lot of health issues and with the cold damp weather my COPD, diabetes neuropathy, and my arthritis is very bad those of you who have these issues will truly understand and with 2 deaths of people I knew passed away all in the same week so I kept telling my daughter she needed to follow up with the front desk and she didn't. I placed another call to the office the following Monday. Somehow in the middle of the call right about 5:59 pm we get disconnected. I attempted to call back twice, no answer but the front desk closes at 6pm, how convenient. My daughters fiance and I drove to the office, lights out door locked. It's now Thursday and all I hear is crickets. I hope I catch my neighbor outside because he has the door camera and I want to see if he has it saved I don't understand why all this trouble. She slipped and fell, and she is very sore still. I am hoping she is okay. Since all this happened I put in 2 maintenance calls for my toilet and no one has addressed that or returned my call either. I can see if we are troubled tennants but we aren't, we never missed rent always pay in advance, never cause trouble. So if considering moving here just keep that in mind. All I know is once our lease is up we won't be back here again. Frustrated tenant.

I have lived here for almost a year now and rarely experienced the running list of amenities that they can claim you will receive when you move in here. The landscaping is awful, unless you happen to live near one of the Korman offices. We complained for months before they actually tended to the front of our apartment and we had to clean up the trash and debris behind our place ourselves. The "country club setting" and gym consists of 2 old treadmills, weight machines and free weights, in a very small room and there is usually one machine not working. At the moment the, fully equipped locker rooms with saunas and showers" are closed while they renovate. The 2 computers in the business area rarely work and when they do, they are not monitored, so people can sit there all day without letting anyone else utilize them. Also, the area can be closed without any notice to residents for "korman meetings". The apartments are poorly maintained and have been degrading since the day we moved in. The ceiling in our bedroom was leaking for weeks before anyone even came to look at it and this happened on 2 occasions causing severe mold damage on the walls, ceiling and carpets. Insects, warped counter tops, dripping sinks, leaking washing machines and dish washers.......and the staff is rude and unprofessional when asked for help or assistance. No wonder they require renter's insurance. Overall.....extremely underwhelmed.

This place is very disgusting, including the staff.  The property manager Shaivanie is the rudest person I've ever met and the maintenance person is very lazy,  They send emails out complaining about people's parking, removing things from balconies, etc,  but don't clean up the property. They let used dog trash bags hang from the trees in back like Christmas tree ornaments. Then send emails to the residents about not doing it, but don't try to clean them up or provide a dog trash bag disposal. There is 1 recycle and 2 trash dumpsters for the whole complex. So if you live all the way in the back, you have to either drive or walk 10mins to it. Then when you get there you see the below pictures. Very disgusting!!  Never cleaned. The walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbors coughing or whatever. Definitely not worth almost 2k for a 2 bedroom. So if you don't mind roaches, mice, filthy trash area, overpaying for thin walls, dog trash bags thrown everywhere and horrible staff, then by all means come here. If not, then PLEASE STAY AWAY!
