I wrote a long detailed review of my very unfortunate experience with Korman last year. Mysteriously, it's no longer here. Fortunately, I saved a copy and here it is in it's entirety: "Due to excess skin that resulted from a major weight loss, I wanted a lower face lift, as recommended to me by a trusted plastic surgeon before he retired. Dr. Korman recommended a "MACS" lift where "where lifting and tightening are focused on the face and neck areas." What his ad doesn't tell you, but he does, is that the procedure does, in fact, not cover the neck area but after a conversation and demonstration from Dr. Korman, I decided to go ahead with the procedure. There was no anesthetic and while he was cutting, he spent most of the time chatting with his colleagues in the room. Afterwards, he told me there would be no followup, which I found very surprising. Having had several other procedures, I already had an idea of what (I thought) I should expect afterwards. First of all, the left side of my lower face still droops. An area approximately 1/2" by 4" on the right side turned blood red from blood released below the skin. Six months later it is still visible. Neither side looks like what he showed me (on my face) I could expect prior to the procedure. There was, in fact, absolutely no followup afterwards. For the first time, I have visible scars around my ears. And, I still look like I need to have a lower face lift. I spent $16K for minimal improvement. I would never go to this doctor again, nor would I ever recommend him to anyone else." read more

I thought I would share my story so you can use your own judgment in choosing Korman Plastic Surgery. I went to Dr. Korman for a breast urgmentation in 2008, at the time I was very please with the service and results. For the last few years I did experiencing hardening of the surrounding tissues of both breast, didn't pay much attention and continued with my normal mammogram and check up, no immediateconcerns. As of this year it gotten so bad, it has harden even more and I started feeling the pain of the scar tissue plus the unevenless of the both breast. My PC Physician advised for me to have an MRI and seen a referred Plastic surgeon. At the referral appointment I was told after the examination that it's a severe case encapsulated tissues even without an MRI and it'scoveredby insurance. They did assist me in checking with my insurance provider but unfortunately the office was not on network. While waiting for my MRI I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Korman, thinking that since that was my original Dr. for this procedure. I came in explained the whole scenario and how concern I am regarding this issue...and to my disbelief the whole appointment lasted less than 5min and I was told "well it's scar tissues and it needed to be removed, Nicole will give you a quote" That was that. I went outside and was given a $12,000.00 quote and " call us if you decided. I went and did my research and found Dr. Daniel Chang of Sutter Health and at my consultation was was provided with all the options at the same time they contacted my insurance and got the approval with 24h to have the implants removed and cleaned out the encapsulated tissues. I was treated with upmost care and respect. Surgery was scheduled within the next 3 weeks. I'm recovering from the surgery now and the whole process was flawless, the whoke staffs was attentive and caring...the best experience in the health care facility so far. They were able to get my insurance to psid for the removal of the implants and the scar tissue and I opted to replace thewith the new implants and the total cost was $6300, and they even contacted Allergen to see if my original implants was under guarantee or reimbursement if it was ruptured. The reason I'm sharing my experience is that we need to choose the right Dr. with whom that care about your needs and concerns before and after the procedure...especially after. It's unethical of Dr. Korman not to provide me a returning patient with recommendations or referrals or even some sympathetic concerns....it's all about the $$$$$ so be aware. I am very satisfied that I came across this Yelp page and read the reviews/research to make my decision to visit Dr. Kormans facility! I am now seeing noticeable results where I came in for my lower belly area which is my most stubborn fat area. Procedure: 30 min cool sculpting on each side of my lower belly, the machine doesn't get uncomfortably cold but after you get released from it, it felt like I did 1000x crunches then after your get massaged vigorously to move around the fat tissues and toxins. I was able to work on my laptop and watch Netflix. Post: I noticed my lower abdomen area was decreasing by size and from being swollen for a week, by the 3rd week is there I am seeing the results!! It was a little uncomfortable, but I got through it and I am so glad I did. As we age, our brow collapses and makes us look old and crabby. Botox is the answer, and Nicole at Korman/Wunderbar is the best. She knows all the other places you need a little, to give the calm, smoothly lifted eye area of untroubled youth. It is hard to believe the difference that her skill makes! Same money, but much, much better results. After all, you don't just wrinkle on your forehead between your eyes. I had an especially tough problem, a sizable fat pad in the inner corners that Blepharoplasty surgeons seemed unable to permanently eliminate. I have been told that the inner corner is the hardest part, so most surgeons touch it as little as possible. Nicole gave it a pinch of Botox and the difference was amazing. Fast and efficient, do let her tell you where and how much you need, because she is the expert. Getting the entire area gives you more extensive, lasting results. No one else ever realized I needed a bit in my outermost brow to turn that apparently questioning sloped brow into a more confident, level line. Much more attractive!
