Wow, Korner Stone is so deserving of its perfect 5 star review. I operate an AirBNB and one of the custom shades completely came off the roller. I contacted the manufacturer who under their "lifetime warranty" said I would have to pay someone to come uninstall the shade, pay for them to send me a box to ship it back to them in, ship it back to them, wait for them to repair it at the factory, then pay to have someone come reinstall the shade. Not only did this sound like a major hassle, I was in a hurry to get it fixed as it is an AirBNB and I have guests coming and going (and expecting functioning shades). I reached out to the original installer who told me my best option was to send it back to the factory (not sure if he's taught to say that...). I am so glad that I found Korner Stone on yelp. I reached out to a few businesses that said they would not be able to help with "this type of repair" but Jennifer from Korner Stone got back to me immediately and I could tell from the questions she was asking that she knew what she was talking about and would be able to fix it. We were even able to coordinate a same day repair! She communicated really well (when she was on her way, when she was done, etc) and she and her partner were very diligent about taking their time and properly fixing the shade. They even took the whole shade apart and fixed the clutch mechanism because they said it was malfunctioning and causing the shade to fall on its own (which is probably what made it roll off in the first place). I was having issues finding someone to install Bali cordless blinds. Home Depot wouldn't give me the number of a contractor to help me install. We purchased some Hunter Douglas Silhouette shades a number of years ago from an Irvine retailer. Of course due to the wear and tear throughout the years it was time to replace some of the cord pulls, but when I contacted the retailer about repairs or referrals to repair providers their response was that "they would be considered unrepairable". I found it unreasonable that the entire Silhouette would require replacement and again asked for a referral for repairs, but my request went unanswered. Thank goodness for Yelp and the stellar reviews of Korner Stone Blinds & Shutters because they lived up to everyone's reviews and more! They were responsive, competitively priced, great communicators and efficient. But what impressed me the most is that for one of the Silhouettes they could have completely tried to upsell us to replace due to some damage that occurred from one of the parts they repaired, but they did not. They told my husband (who is quite frugal and a minimalist) something to the effect that if he could live with the cosmetics of the Silhouette there would be no reason to replace the Silhouette. Quite a contrast from the retailer from whom we originally purchased the shade. He was so impressed with their honesty and integrity that he said he gave them a generous tip. Did I mention he's quite frugal?! :-) I would highly recommend Korner Stone for repairs and I will definitely seek them out when it's time to get some new window treatments in either our home or rental property. We highly recommend Korner Stone for their communication, professionalism, honesty, and customer service. Jennifer and Kenneth came to our house, measured the windows, and showed us variety of samples. They were respectful of the property and concerns. We chose items based on their recommendation and expertise: light filtering combination shades for the kitchen/ living room and blackout for the bedrooms. They clearly explained the benefits and limitations of the items as well as the timeline of 2-3 weeks due to the products being custom-made imports from Korea. I then found Korner Stone on Yelp because of their great reviews and my mom and I decided to check them out at their small showroom. I actually had never seen combi shades before and my mom loved how functional and modern they are so we set up a free in-home estimate. Jennifer and Kenny were so professional, kind and helpful. My mom decided to order combi shades for all 10 of her windows. It took 2 weeks until the installation but Jennifer was so helpful in recommending we get inexpensive temporary window coverings from Home Depot (the paper accordion ones). I was so impressed with the level of service and affordability of Korner Stone that I ordered from them again after I renovated my house in Hawthorne. I did compare their combi (aka zebra) shade prices to another small company as well as Home Depot and Korner Stone is by far more affordable. Kenny and Jennifer were so accommodating in driving out to the south bay for measurements. Jennifer also has a great eye for design and actually recommended that I get curtains for a huge window in my living room. They could have made more money by convincing me to get shades or blinds for that window but she didn't.
