I asked him many questions as I entered on the pricing and wash cards and he offered me a free wash, he then watched me as I put my clothes in the washer and proceeded to charge me up about the money for the wash. Before I loaded my clothes he told me multiple times I wouldn't be charged. He then said "I wasn't listening" and told me I was starting an issue. David is unprofessional and will not get my business, not because I had to pay but because he tried to make me seem like a crazy customer read more

I want to first mention that this was my first visit to a washateria in my life. I have always had the convenience and luxury of having my own washer and dryer until I moved into a new apartment that did that feature that amenity. This is a review from a "Washateria Novice", aka "High-Standards Expectant". This place is located between a gas station and a seafood and wings restaurant. It's in a tiny plaza right off of Dairy Ashford. Upon arrival at 8:30 am, I realized that the place was still closed. I was under the impression that the location opened at 8:00 am as is stated on yelp, but those hours will soon change after this review. At 8:40 am, the owner, Mai, arrived and waved at me as I patiently waited in my car. After fumbling with her keys for a solid 5 minutes, she asked for my help. With her kindness and smiles? Of course! I had to wash my clothes anyway... So after I was able to unlock the numerous locks on the front door (it took me a good 5 minutes as well, haha), she promptly showed me inside and explained to me how the process worked. As the other reviews have stated, the washer/dryer machines use prepaid cards as opposed to the standard coin system. Up-to-date with technology? I think so! The process was a breeze, took me 1 minute to purchase a card and add value to it, and another minute to properly register my card in the system so that I could take advantage of their special discounts! Naturally, I was the first customer of the day so I had the opportunity and luxury of exploring this fancy washateria at my leisure. Despite being opened for 6 months, the machines still look very new. Everything was clean, from the machines to the floors to the bathroom! Again, very impressed. As you can see from the pictures other yelpers have posted, the prices vary depending on the day of the week. But to summarize: Saturday - Monday: 6-load $5.00 5-load $4.00 3-load $2.75 2-load $2.00 Tuesday-Wednesday (10% off): 6-load $4.50 5-load $3.60 3-load $2.50 2-load $1.80 Thursday-Friday (20% off, estimated): 6-load $4.00 5-load $3.20 3-load $2.20 2-load $1.60 Heavy Soil $0.25 additional Extra Rinse $0.25 additional Dryer x30 $0.25/8min Dryer x45 $0.45/8min Receive $2.00 (8 points) for every $50 (200 points) spent. $1.00 = 4 points Now realize, some of these prices are actually different from what has been posted from before, but that's because of the new 20% discount on Thursday and Friday. The prices are estimated since I went on a Wednesday and could not experience the 20% deduction. The washer/dryer is what you would expect from any washer/dryer. The process is the same mundane task everyone has to go through in life; though, very simple and straight-forward. Mai offered some additional help during my two-hour visit. Excellent customer service despite her poor English! I did see Mai clean out the washers using some cleaning solution, but wasn't sure exactly what it was. At first I thought it was bleach, but I didn't smell the distinct smell of bleach so... Overall, I am very impressed with my first time experience and I will be sure to go back the next time I exhaust through all my clothes (don't judge, I'm a guy). For whatever reason if you're on the fence about this washateria, just take the chance and check it out. Korner Washateria has not only met my standards, but exceeded all my expectations! Quick tips: -They do also accept cash so fear not if you primarily rely on the use of cold hard cash. A bill exchanger is also available on-site. -You are able to prepay anywhere from $5.00 - $50.00 at once. -They do sell laundry detergent and softener if you so happen to forget yours. -They offer a Wash and Fold service at $0.79 / lb. So if you're super lazy or hate doing laundry, you might want to give them a try. -Definitely go on one of the discounted days to receive an even better value on your laundry experience! Haha... I have mixed feeling about this place. Came the first time and they were nice as hell, super clean and friendly. It was the Asian girl and her dad or uncle? The next time I went it was some Hispanic lady who didn't do much or seem to care. When I told her the soda machine took my money she acted like I was lying. I told her to rerun her cameras and she would see me put the money in and nothing come out. Why would I lie about a stank dollar. So I washed at this washeteria today. Pro: they have great washing machines. Con: My issue was with the wash card they require you to buy. Yes buy, the machine says it is a deposit but you can not get your money back. So for .75 you pay to have a card that will allow you to add money so that you can have the privilege of washing. They call the fee a deposit but in the end I gave the card back and the lady that was behind the bullet proof glass. Said she could only give me money off the card but not the .75. I asked why she acted like she did not understand English. This is such an insult. If you want the .75 then call it a fee and not a deposit. And not understanding English is ridiculous when you serve a community that speaks English. I understand language barriers but at least try, stop just trying to rip people off. Call the .75 a fee and you don't have to say anything. read more

1st time here and very pleased! Clean place. Really good machines. Helpful, very nice staff. It uses reloading cards instead of coins. I only saw one machine out of service (instead of half of them at the other place I tried to go). Lots of carts to use and a large folding area with multiple tables. I would first like to mention that I am not a frequenter any laundry mat, atleast not until recently. See about a 2 weeks ago, the dryer at my house broke down & since then I've been saving money to have it fixed (replaced actually) & in the meantime I am forced to dry my clothes at said laundry mat. My only gripe I guess is the fact that they don't have wifi. What they do have though are these magnetic strip cards (credit card-esc) that they use rather than using cash. read more

They have front load washers for large loads, and even a large $4 and extra large $5 size. Free wi-fi (just ask for the code) makes the time fly by. There is ample parking too. Helped me choose which washer and dryer to use since they have different types. Not to mention, I don't need to put coins into the machine. The employee does it for me. Plus, I got a discount for washing machines. So happy about that!!! What's even better is that he helped me fold my laundry, so I didn't need to do it all by myself. My king size comforter needs a good wash and no way my washer and dryer can handle this fluffy mess. I'm so impressed by this place that I found. I was greeted at the door and some one helped me right away because I have a lost look on my face. Last time I was in a public laundry place was over 10 years ago. There are tons of front load machines, all clean. Children play area, folding area, vending machines. Card system is used so you don't even need coins. It's cheaper Tuesday-Friday, this place lives on cleaning washers and dryers are very clean they sell stuff that you may have forgotten, free wifi, and no quarters needed they have a machine that gives you a card that you can refill. Air conditioning, security cameras, fans are always running. Bathroom is sanitary, hand dryer does not work though. Overall a very nice place to wash, dry, and fold. I have the good fortune of living in a space with my own washer and dryer, but I had to launder a couple comforter sets so off to the Washateria I go! I'm no novice to laundromats but this is probably the best one I've been to in my adult life. From the outside this place could be pretty intimidating (I don't think I'd be comfortable coming here at night when it's dark), but once you step foot through the front door your impression will change drastically. The waiting area, which could have more seats and outlets, is very clean. There's a TV in the corner that is nice to have for people with no smartphone/tablet/laptop, but they would have to stand up to watch it. I'd recommend coming on a weekday if possible due to the smaller space (there is a separate folding room with vending machines but there aren't any more chairs other than what's in the main washer/dryer area). It's nice to be able to get a laundry card for a change (haven't had one of those since college!) and the ability to pay with a credit card is a huge plus. The girl in the office was very helpful and answered any questions I might of had. I asked about the weekday discount that a previous user had Yelped about and though she mentioned it would be automatically adjusted, she later told me that the promotion is no longer in effect. That's cool, I don't use laundromats all that much but I really appreciated her letting me know. From my current place Korner Washateria is about 25 minutes from where I live, but honestly, the next time I have to do massive loads of laundry I will definitely come here. read more

There are generally homeless out side, and although most of them are nice enough there are some that are not. However I can no longer go here because they have posted a 30.06 sign saying that people like me are not welcome, and invites criminals to prey on victims. Very sad day. Just an update: Stopped by again today to wash grandma's comforter (it's become an expected thing LOL) and this place is still as clean as ever. What's new, though, is that it seems as if they have expanded. They now have a folding room apart from the washers and dryers. I like this because 1) less heat from machines and 2) noise reduction. This is the best and cleanest laundromat I have been to. When you've been to as many laundromat a as I have, you appreciate all the little things, like nice color-coordinated paint on the walls and clean floors. The machines all look fairly new, and there are sun screens on the glass walls to keep the sun out during the day. The laundromat I last went to taped up cardboard. A touch screen card machine also gives you a FREE laundry card when you put bills into it so you won't have to carry around change. You can also use your credit card to load money on it. The last laundromat I went to made everyone pay for these cards and wouldn't give a refund even if you move away. There is a separate room in the back with tables for folding laundry and a business office on the side where you can purchase a variety of detergent, bleach, hangers, and even safety pins if you need it. There are at least 5 brands of detergent and 4 brands of fabric softener available. There are security cameras for safety. There is a snack machine and a little table with chairs if you want to bring coloring books for your kids to do while they wait. There are plenty of carts for you to use to tote laundry around. There is also a really nice lady that goes around to help customers - not too often you get that at a laundromat. The only issue you could run into is if you have a small load; the washers only do double, triple, and quadruple loads. And they are all side loading. Lastly, it gets really dark outside the establishment since there aren't many businesses around, so it's best to come during the day. I once came at 9 and found it closed. I have requested Yelp update their hours. Overall a great place to do your laundry. read more

The establishment is very clean, I saw with my own eyes the staff cleaning all of the washers! There was an attendant there who was very helpful to me and answered my questions about how the machines worked and the cards with a pleasant attitude. I live in the Heights and decided to come here because of all the great reviews. I have to say I was quite impressed by the place. It had all new machines and very clean. The best part about it is you don't need coins!!! They have a unique card system where you can add money to a reloadable card and you just have to swipe it to use the machines. This makes it a lot easier then to carry around a pocket full of quarters. The worker was very friendly and helpful since it was my first time. The place is keep very clean and they even have a separate folding room so the washing area isn't over crowded with machines and tables. Visited this place today after my stupid, almost 4 year old, washer decided it needed a new motherboard. This place is about 10 miles from me, but was worth the drive. The neighborhood is not the fanciest, but the people are hardworking. The man who runs this facility was very helpful and friendly. I will def use this place again if I need to. read more

Laundromat card can be purchased at minimum $20, maximum $50. This place has A/C, ceiling fans, and 3 different sizes of washer ranging from $2, $2.75, $4 for you to choose from. What you do is to load your laundry in, lock the lid, add detergent, turn the dial to select wash type, insert your laundromat card, and press the grey dial to start the washer. The LCD display says to press Star, but it doesn't show where the Start button is. It's that grey dial, just press it to Start. read more

Great laundromat. If you have to do laundry, this would be the place. Very helpful manager. So, so nice. All the machines are automated, including the card dispenser. You have to use a card to operate the washers & dryers. The manager walked me through all the steps.
