Ordered at the counter and found seating , there is not table service. The establishment is clean with seating that overlooks Seneca Street on one side of the dining area and overlooks a Museum dedicated to the Larkin Soap Company ( which originally occupied the building this is located in ). The museum is visible through a glass wall. Staff was pleasant and we were served promptly, including the juice which was made while we waited. A great addition to this building. read more

I starting enjoy the bowls but unfortunately I went today and was not to happy with the bowl. I order the açaí had frozen chunks in it. They loaded it with so much peanut butter the only thing you could taste was the peanut butter. :( read more

It's such a quiet calm cafe. it's perfect if you work from home or just wanna catch up with a friend. Helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Loved the playlist they had going. I got the Flu Away juice and would recommend the combo of flavors for a less sweet immunity boost with a kick. Particularly a fan of the glass dividing wall that lets you watch the concocting of your juice in real time. I'm a big fan of convenience and this place is located extremely close to my work, which is pretty convenient if you ask me. The first time I came here I threw my food away because I accidentally ordered the wrong thing off the menu and was not about to eat it (totally my fault for not taking 10 seconds to read the description). I stopped here again during the week for lunch and picked up one of there energy granola bars and a chocolate/peanut butter type protein shake. The energy bar was really good and for $3 bucks or so worth the money. The shake was a bit of a confusing situation. I've ordered shakes in busy cities across the country and pretty much all the other local ones in Buffalo and this was definitely the first time I ever waited 25 minutes for a shake. You would think a place located in Larkin would focus on getting people back to work, not complaining, but pointing out a reason I wouldn't be able to come back here during lunch. The shake was good but nothing to really write about, pretty standard and on the warmer side. Overall, the bar was good, the protein shake was alright, and the wait time kind of killed the experience. Well, the GPS had a hard time locating this place. It's actually tucked inside the Larking building. Not very noticeable signs outside. However, once inside, it's great! Coffee was delicious! I was looking for a business that sells wheat grass and googled online, and this cafe showed up. So I was totally excited to get some plus they were super close "Larkinville" so when I got there, I ordered wheat grass to go the employee was like "we no longer sell it" I was soooooooo disappointed he was like it wasn't in High demand. So I ordered two freshly squeezed orange juices to go which btw Weren't even filled to the top, BUT were super fresh & DELICIOUS, also ordered "The Works" breakfast sandwiches which consisted of eggs, Asiago which I didn't care for, spinach, onion, tomato, avocado, & ham. TBH this isn't my favorite place. But its nice to have a healthy option in the area. The staff are very nice and they make their own kombucha . Their coffee is good too. When it comes to their food, I feel like they are a bit over priced and under flavored. My favorite option is the lettuce wrap. Their soups can always use a little something more and I feel like they always rotate the same 4. They are mostly known for their smoothies, but I feel like most of their smoothies always have at least 1 ingredient that doesn't seem to belong. If you're a vegetarian or a vegan this place is for you! They have sooooo many vegetarian and vegan options; its actually a focus. I like the custom wood tables they have. The place is well lit, but be sure to have a sweater because it's usually cold. Also, I suggest calling ahead because something as simple as a smoothie can take a while to get, even if it's not super busy. Since it's located in the parking building, the bathrooms are out in the hallway. Just as any other place I suggest trying them out. Be sure to get the kombucha on tap! read more

I love a healthy option and Kornerstone was just that. I am not from the Buffalo area - in fact, I'm from the Midwest, so I found Kornerstone on a Google search for coffee near me. We stopped in around 9:00am on a Friday, and it was not busy at all. My husband and I ordered our usual 1 iced and 1 hot vanilla latte. I added sugar free vanilla and almond milk to my iced latte. I can appreciate a cafe with sugar free options and milk alternatives. My iced latte tasted very good, however, for whatever reason, my husbands hot latte tasted watery. We literally ordered the same drink and his tasted terrible. And one other note on the iced latte - they gave me one of those paper straws, and it did not hild up well for very long. In addition to our coffee, we order the PB&J Acai Bowl to share. And it certainly is a sharable serving size. We did have to wait about 10 minutes for the preparation of the acai bowl which I can also appreciate. But if you are on a time crunch, I would encourage ordering something that's ready to go. I think most of their menu items are prepared fresh. Hot top: I found out that the offer online ordering too if you prefer to grab & go. The menu offers not only generically healthy options, but also options for vegetarians and vegans alike. Such a good thing in today's day and age. If I lived in the area, I would probably frequent Kornerstone. I would love to have been able to explore their other menu items: fresh pressed juices, smoothies, salads, sandwiches, other breakfast items. The dine in option is open, the dining area is clean and well-kept. The cafe is decorated with some vintage, old brick masonry vibe. Kornerstone Cafe Larkin not only has breakfast to dinner options but they make their own Kombucha, fresh juices, and coffee! Their coffee is roasted in Kenmore and I bought caramel macchiato for this week and it smells delicious! They can grind the beans to your liking right at the cafe. Everyone is friendly there and you can look up their menu online as well. I had one of the best salads for lunch today with shredded carrots, sun-dried tomatoes, sunflower-seeds, goat cheese, cukes, and their homemade date onion dressing (out of this world) for no extra charge I tried the vegan chicken salad and it was tasty. I'm not vegan but I sometimes like trying new healthy options and I approve of this choice! For breakfast before I had a homemade English muffin with egg, spinach, and Asiago cheese. It is an excellent choice! Their Kombucha is very tasty as well and it's a good way to get your probiotics. I ordered Apple cinnamon. The coffee is so good I can drink it black. I told the cashier I had an issue with my smoothie but she just gave me snarky looks and said that this is what I paid for lol. She ended up making me another smoothie after telling her I could pay the price difference and reassuring her I wasn't trying to be cheap. I've worked in the service industry before. So happy a fresh press juice place is so close to home. I stop twice a week to pick up bottles of juice, my husband takes either hydration or lemon drop for lunch. I try different ones each time, they have veggie juice all the way to sweet juices. They also have kombucha. I have liked all that I have tried. I have also tried a few of there sandwiches and lettuce wraps, their hummus is delicious! The breakfast sandwich rolls are so delicious. First negative review I've ever written so they have really made an impression. Since the Larkin Street Cafe was forced to close their doors in order to give you a chance at a successful business I have tried a handful of breakfast and lunch options only to be disappointed every single time (at least you're consistent). The food is always underwhelming and completely lacking in flavor. The portions are quite ridiculous, especially considering the outrageous prices of your food. You charge as if we are living in Los Angeles, CA and not Buffalo, NY meanwhile your employees are LITERALLY wearing pajamas. My co-workers have all expressed the same feelings about the single option for dining in this building. I am 100% confident that if the Larkin Street Cafe wasn't FORCED to close, you would have virtually no business. The food here has the same great quality as the East Aurora location does, but this time they have the SPACE to make you want to linger like a true cafe should. With super thick, tall beams around the room and plenty of tables to saddle up to, you are spread out enough that you don't feel wierd or bad for spending an afternoon here with a newspaper or magazine, or working on your latest big idea. The long counter, displaying their goods and beverages is airy and pale in color, and spans most of one side. The rest is an inviting open area with tons of seating. You can see the other businesses and the hallway through the large glass walls in the back, and it makes it feel like it is part of a larger complex (which it is) but it doesn't feel cold- it keeps its charm and inviting atmosphere. The coffee was delicious, and the food options were varied enough so anyone would be able to find a snack or meal. I can't wait to go back again. read more
