This place is a hidden gem. I'm from Philly and the flavors of this place was on point! They were legit Cantonese style food. I felt an instant connection when the wait staff started speaking Cantonese to me. .

Unbelievably fresh. Great rolls, friendly staff, wish this place was in our home town.

It was 11 PM Saturday night and we were looking for a late night place to eat, when lo and behold, Kosan was open. On Fridays and Saturdays they are open till 2 AM. Woo hoo! The rest of the week they're open till 12 AM which is still very reasonable. We were staying at the La Concha Renaissance hotel and it was only a three minute walk from there. I can't comment on the interior of the restaurant because we didn't go in. It was a breezy night and we could hear the live music wafting in from the other restaurant across the street commingled with the music that they were playing at this restaurant and the hanging Twinkie lights surrounding the patio were so pretty that we opted to eat outside on the front patio. The calliope of music, lights and breezes made for a really nice ambience. I did however, notice another couple go in and come back out, remarking that it was cold inside. So you might want to bring your jacket if you're going to dine inside. I didn't catch our friendly servers name, but I appreciated her honesty and really liked her because she knew the menu well and suggested things that she thought I would like and told me there were some items that she didn't think I would be happy with. The menu was Quite Extensive and it's mostly Chinese and Japanese but they do also have Vietnamese spring rolls, Hawaiian fried rice, Singapore style noodles with curry and two types of steaks, one being ribeye. Their drink menu is pretty large as well. They have a variety of juices, Coke products, hot and cold teas. They have a full selection of cocktails and wines. As for beers there are Japanese, American, Mexican and Puerto Rican. They actually have desserts, six of them. I won't go into what types, but I did take a picture of the dessert menu. I started with a refreshing, homemade lemonade. It was actually very good. There are no refills on that drink. I'm not sure if they give refills on fountain drinks. We ordered: - Philadelphia roll- eight pieces of very fresh fish with a decent size piece of avocado and cream cheese. Yummy! - Salt and Pepper fried fish- crispy flat slices of well seasoned, deep fried fish, coated with what seemed to be a cornstarch batter and served on a bed of fresh crispy lettuce with caramelized fried onions and hot peppers. We were trying to scoop up the caramelized onion crumbs and realized that the lettuce tasted delicious as it had the flavored oil from the sautéed red peppers and onions. It also came with a little bowl of yummy hot chili paste. (my mouth is watering remembering how just good it all was) -Sweet and Sour chicken, it was decent size portion. It was tasty. - Fried rice- both dishes came with an option of steamed or fried rice. We chose fried rice for two extra dollars. It had bits of egg in there and was actually pretty tasty. I wish we had more people with us so we could've ordered more things. The presentation of their food was really gorgeous like some fancy high end Japanese restaurant. I know this this because I was seeing other orders going by, mostly rolls, and they looked mouthwateringly (is that a word ?) amazing. I almost wanted to ask the other diners if I could take pictures of their food. Everything that we tried was delicious, the service was great and the ambience was really fun. Honestly, I think we might go back again tonight as there are so many different types of food on the menu it's like eating at a different restaurant each time lol. I really enjoyed the ambience of the outdoor patio and I think it would be a great place to take someone. You gotta try this place, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Great food all 8 of us really enjoyed the meal. Even the kids were happy. Very polite staff. Would definitely recommend!

Several sushi rolls that were absolutely incredible!

Wow wow wow! What a gem! Lots of places say sushi & Asian food in this neighborhood but there is one true King! Incredible food. Sushi is top notch. We even bought noodles for plane ride home. This is as authentic as it gets. Old-school Asian restaurant field with Asians, working and preparing the food. The service is good, but even if it isn't, don't be put off this food is worth it.

I came to Puerto Rico wanting to stick to authentic local food, but I was convinced to try this…read morespot and I have to admit, it was surprisingly good. Parking is a bit of a downside since there isn't much available, so I had to pay for parking. Once inside, though, everything moved incredibly fast. I got my food in less than 10 minutes, which is probably the fastest I've ever been served at a restaurant. It almost made me question how fresh it was, but after eating, I can say it was actually very good. I ordered the grilled white fish with lemon and egg fried rice with yum yum sauce on the side, plus shrimp tempura sushi to go. The yum yum sauce tasted like a mix of ketchup and mayonnaise, but when I mixed it with the fried rice, it was really, really good. The fish itself was tasty but needed more salt I ended up adding salt and squeezing lime over it to bring out the flavor. It seemed like it was only seasoned during marination and not finished properly. The salad wasn't anything special, but overall, for how quickly the food came out, the quality was impressive. Portions are generous, and the pricing matches what you get. We came around midnight and left close to 1 AM when they were closing. The place looked packed, but service was still quick and efficient. Our server was okay--nothing standout, but no issues either. Overall, I'd come back. Fast service, solid food, and a good late-night option.

The sushi rolls left a lot to be desired for - the one with the beef in it wasn't quite good. We only ate a piece of it. The crab Rangoons were decent - nothing to write home about. The service could have been better - even with such few people in the restaurant we were waiting many times for service, water, cheque etc.

This is officially my go-to Chinese spot whenever I'm in Puerto Rico. It stays packed for a reason,…read moreand honestly, every single time it hits. You genuinely can't go wrong with any of the combination plates here, but my personal favorites are the fried rice with spare ribs, the egg rolls, and the tostones al ajillo, absolutely phenomenal every time. I brought my boyfriend here for the first time during this trip and he completely understood the hype after the first bite. The portions are great, the flavors are always on point, and it's one of those comfort food spots you keep thinking about after you leave. 10/10 every single time. Highly recommend.

For the price/the portions & the taste of the food, I've give it a solid 4…read more When I arrived, I saw a decent line forming. There were decent amount of people inside dining, but seems that most people take it to-go. The staff is very efficient in taking orders. They do speak Spanish primarily even though they are Asian. The lines goes quick. I opted to the PEPPER STEAK mini combo. I personally think the mini size is just right for the average eater. A standard size will definitely have leave you with leftover unless you eat a lot. It's quite a decent portion of food. I did enjoy the food. Some can say that the flavoring for the pepper steak is a tad bit salty, but I thought it was okay. I was able to finish the mini size, but it left me bloated. I shared a 12 piece garlic TOSTONES with my friends. It comes out warm with a decent amount of garlic, so you can definitely taste it. The tostones itself is flat, crunchy and filling. After my experience here, I can see why it's popular. You really get a large portion for your meal that's priced fairly. The flavors are good. Service is quick.
