We had the lentil soup, falafel meal, maghmour (an eggplant dish), and a wonderful drink called karkadeh.

Service was friendly and patient as we tried to make decisions and asked questions. I have a friend that kind handle chile spice due to medical condition they were very accommodating when it was needed by having certain sauces on the side. We shared a number of dishes and two bottles of wine. We started with the Hummus bil Lahm ou Snobar, my favorite dish of the evening a hummus with bubbling spiced lamb. Baba Ghanouj, Bisara Munir, Arnabeet, Alhalaioun and the chicken and beef Shish Taouk. Everything was delicious. Flavorful, the proteins were cooked perfectly nice and tender. One of our friends likes meat a lot and hadn't cause he thought it was a vegetarian restaurant. We had to have the green chile sauce on the side of the asparagus dish cause of my friend but that was ok we were putting it in other items we loved it so much. Also the whipped garlic that came with the chicken and beef was a big hit! We had never had Lebanese wine and enjoyed our selections. Love that it felt like a healthier meal with the vegetables and spreads. Didn't feel stuffed after but definitely satisfied. They even comped dessert for my friends birthday which I believe was an orange rose water pudding. Welcoming warm space. Parking is fairly easy on a Tuesday night. Looking forward to visiting again

Great intimate family-friendly restaurant with authentic Lebanese food. Street parking…read more My favorites ares the lamb hummus with pine nuts and the squash grounded dip. Both were very flavorful and well balanced. Love the different textures. The roasted broccoli was OK, it was on the less cooked side The entree skewers were pretty good too. Shoutout to the kind service that let me combine and do half beef and half chicken because at the point I was too full from all the appetizers I ordered but still wanted to try both. One thing I really loved about the skewer is the sauces that came on the side: one tahini, one garlic, and one tomato. Such delicious sauces! Entrees were a little pricey though. Last but not least my party enjoyed the special Lebanese wine.

WOW! I'll ever go to another place for a shawarma in Ballard. We finally got a solid shawarma stop!…read moreLocated on the corner near Ballad High and Top Banana puts this at a very high traffic, busy area, but they still have a few parking spots next to their shop. We used to order take away, but honestly, dining in isn't a bad experience. It's a deli vibe, nothing fancy, but the food does all the talking!!! The workers there are incredibly friendly, always serving with smiles. We typically order chicken shawarma, which is loaded with flavor, but recently I ordered the chicken shawarma plate and loved it! Their rice is so soft and flavorful. And don't get me started on their garlic sauce, it's divine! I'd bathe all the food in it if I could, haha. You could definitely split the plate with 2 people by the way, very generous portions, and you get their hummus with a few pita slices. Just a great way to sample alot of their flavors. You won't be let down by trying this place!

We were across the street and I remembered I was going to have Mexican the next day so we were looking for an alternative place when we spotted the sign for Blazing BBQ and decided to cross the street and try it out. The interior is clean bright and air conditioned. Nothing too fancy but welcoming and comfortable. There is parking as well. Went neighbor was going to order the kebabs but they were out. So she went with the chicken shawarma plate. I had the gyro plate. Generous portions and the meat was so tender. The sauces are delicious. We understood why they ran out of kebabs cause looks like they had just fulfilled a large order before us. You can tell it's a popular neighborhood spot. We were dining in but saw many people doing take out. Would definitely visit again now that we know there is parking or would even walk over again.

If you're going to have a dine in experience, there are a few seats on the upper level but most of it is on the downstairs level with a few stairs going down. Simple but cute tables. Really nice vibe. I ordered the green curry with pork and a spicy level. It had a nice kick. I love spicy. Probably could have went higher. If you like hot, go with this level. I got it with sticky rice. Wasn't the biggest fan of that. I think next time I'd go with the classic white rice. Not because it was bad. But because I think it didn't match well with the curry. Parking in Ballard isn't great so be prepared to walk a bit to get to this place.

In short (#1), the food was tasty, the service was solid, and I'd absolutely consider returning again. The interior is far more modern than the outside would suggest. It feels like being in someone's home with lots of white space, a decent sized dining room, and a bustling staff that is busy fulfilling takeout orders and keeping up with the demand. As a proud graduate of Le Condon Blue Dusit of Thailand, Chef Jiratkaruen has designed his menu to focus on all the major regions of the country. There are mainstream classics such as phad kraw praw or specialty dishes like khao soi, amid a myriad of curry choices, noodles, spanning vegetarian, seafood, and meat heavy dishes. Everything that my group and I ordered, we enjoyed, and marveled at the presentation. Our pad see ew was pretty typical with a nice kick with a good amount of flavor. The chicken wings were a crowd favorite and but my nod was to their black pepper and garlic soft shell crab, which was crispy, airy, and delightful with the accompanying tangy, sweet sauce. Pad thai was its usual self: partially sweet, texturally wonderful, and an easy dish to enjoy. While the royal khao soi with chicken was somewhat underwhelming, the chicken was extremely tender and the sauce had a nice dark tone to it. Most of us were buzzing over the chayote with garlic, which was the surprise appetizer -- we had assumed it would be like bitter melon, but it was surprisingly savory and was melting in our mouths with each bite. The pan fried chive cakes were beautifully plated, but the taste was somewhat dry and without the soy sauce / fried garlic bits, would have been disappointing. The service was a tinge on the slower side but if I could change anything it would be the portions in relative to the price. I realize that we're all to indulge, but the plates had a bit less food than what I would have expected. Couple this with any of the cocktails from their extensive selection and the bill is going to be hefty one. __________ (#1) Warning: long review alert!
