WOW! I'll ever go to another place for a shawarma in Ballard. We finally got a solid shawarma stop! Located on the corner near Ballad High and Top Banana puts this at a very high traffic, busy area, but they still have a few parking spots next to their shop. We used to order take away, but honestly, dining in isn't a bad experience. It's a deli vibe, nothing fancy, but the food does all the talking!!! The workers there are incredibly friendly, always serving with smiles. We typically order chicken shawarma, which is loaded with flavor, but recently I ordered the chicken shawarma plate and loved it! Their rice is so soft and flavorful. And don't get me started on their garlic sauce, it's divine! I'd bathe all the food in it if I could, haha. You could definitely split the plate with 2 people by the way, very generous portions, and you get their hummus with a few pita slices. Just a great way to sample alot of their flavors. My neighbor and I took a two hour walk in our neighborhood and were trying to figure out where to grab dinner. We were across the street and I remembered I was going to have Mexican the next day so we were looking for an alternative place when we spotted the sign for Blazing BBQ and decided to cross the street and try it out. The interior is clean bright and air conditioned. Nothing too fancy but welcoming and comfortable. There is parking as well. Went neighbor was going to order the kebabs but they were out. So she went with the chicken shawarma plate. I had the gyro plate. Generous portions and the meat was so tender. The sauces are delicious. We understood why they ran out of kebabs cause looks like they had just fulfilled a large order before us. You can tell it's a popular neighborhood spot. The shawarma looked very appetizing, so I decided to go with a chicken shawarma sandwich. The price was very reasonable. I ordered by phone, and the server was friendly and patient. It took about 15 minutes for the order to be ready. The salad was very fresh and refreshing with a great dressing, and the shawarma wrap was really enjoyable as well. I liked it! We did a takeout from this place and I had chicken kebab plate. Everything was tasty and the service was pretty good. The quantity was good for one person. I wish the meat were a bit more flavorful and a bit more spicy. The spicy sauce did not help but overall a great place to takeout. The front of the staff was also great. We enjoyed a nice dinner at Blazing Grill a clean and welcoming restaurant. My daughter ordered the lamb and beef garlic fries, and they were packed with flavor. My boyfriend had the combination plate, which was full of deliciousness and left him satisfied. Delish! The falafel was good, the pita was so soft and flavorful, and the sauces were incredible. Also the rice was exactly what I wanted. Do not sleep on the choclava (chocolate baklava). Not too sweet with just the right punch of flavor and a flaky and soaked texture. read more

So happy to find that this place opened in this neighborhood. There are already a few different shawarma and gyro places but I really love both the food and service here. They seem very hole in the wall and no frills but the food was delicious and they checked twice on us while we're eating to make sure we were having a great experience. We had an amazing experience at Blazzing Grill in Seattle! The kofta kabob plate was packed with flavor--perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. I also tried the chicken kabob, and it was incredibly tender and juicy, not dry at all like you sometimes get elsewhere. But the real surprise? The falafel--crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. Honestly, it's one of the best falafel I've tasted in the US. You can really tell they put care into every dish. On top of the great food, the prices are very affordable, which makes this place even more of a gem. The restaurant is clean too. We'll definitely be back--and soon! read more

I got the mixed kebab plate and it was delicious. The rice was flavorful, the chicken and beef kebabs were juicy and seasoned well. Even the salad was well dressed with a light vinaigrette that complements the meat well. It came with nice and chewy pita, some delicious hummus, and a half grilled tomato. This is my favorite spot for takeout in Seattle. The two guys who run the place work exceptionally hard and have always delivered great service for me, and the food is incredible. The chicken is always perfectly browned and tender, and the hummus is creamy and incredible.
