We let it slide but we waited another 30+ minutes before we were able to put in food! We had already been sitting at the table for nearly an hour. The food however, arrived promptly and was delicious. We enjoyed everything we ate. We did have to ask to receive refills on our waters and to have our plates cleared. Overall our experience felt disjointed and incredibly unorganized. If it weren't for the food being excellent this would be a one star review. Beauty full space, excellent food, abhorrent service.

Despite this being noted as a birthday/date night, the two of us were seated at a large round four-top right in the middle of the restaurant. It felt neither intimate nor particularly special. In general, the dining room felt much more open and almost cafeteria-like than the elegant, high-end sushi atmosphere I was expecting. The music was great and definitely added to the vibe. Our server was friendly and mostly attentive, although we saw much less of him as the evening went on. Even some of the smaller details felt surprising at this price point. The restroom was a little messy, there weren't nice hand towels or other elevated touches, and not even a full-length mirror. None of those things matter much individually, but when you're paying for a luxury dining experience, the details are part of what separates it from an average restaurant. They did bring out a small birthday dessert with a candle, which was an appreciated gesture, although there was nothing personalized or written on it. The biggest disappointment, unfortunately, was the food. We started with the Hamachi and the Tiradito recommended by our server. The Hamachi was very good, but the Tiradito had such a similar flavor profile that I was surprised our server recommended both rather than steering us toward something that would give us more variety. The crispy rice with tuna was pretty good. The rock shrimp was heavily battered, but enjoyable. Those were probably among the better items we ordered. The sushi rolls, though, were extremely underwhelming. We tried three different rolls, and there wasn't a single one we would order again. For a restaurant at this level, they honestly reminded me more of decent takeout sushi than something I'd expect from Nobu. Ultimately, the price-to-experience ratio is why I landed at three stars. If this were a middle-of-the-road sushi restaurant and dinner cost $200, I probably wouldn't think much of these complaints. But when dinner for two is around $500, expectations are understandably much higher. At that price, I expect several dishes to be memorable, thoughtful recommendations from the server, elevated attention to detail, and a little extra care when the reservation is for a special occasion. Unfortunately, we just didn't get that experience here. For our next high-end sushi date night, we'd definitely choose one of our Atlanta favorites before returning to Nobu. It wasn't terrible by any means--it simply didn't feel remotely worth the price.

There are (2) omakase counters- I'm told they each sit 8 patrons. Parking is ample as it's in a shopping center. Seevice was stellar from the moment we walked in the door until the time we left. The chef took you on a journey through 20 courses with varying types of sushi and dishes. I am no fan of uni but I enjoyed the uni--they served 3 kinds. The last one was so creamy and buttery and was my favorite. I was told it was the most expensive. So now guess who has been turned into an uni convert? The sushi was incredibly fresh and the experience was delightful. The wine pairings were great too. They are very deserving of their Michelin star and I had a great time. They even take a little Polaroid of you as a keepsake that is on my fridge!

Came here for a date with my wife after a recommendation from some friends. Make sure to place a reservation on Resy ahead of time. The decor and vibe inside is pretty intimate with dim lighting, but you are only separated from other omakase tables by a curtain so there is some noise overlap. Our chefs were gracious to answer my questions, although I do wish they had explained the dishes more while presenting them. Many of them had toppings that I had to ask about. The sushi itself was a bit on the smaller side but that's understandable for 16 courses and the price. Sometimes I did feel like the nigiri was not compact enough and the fish was not sticking to the rice (could be my own skill issue). Every bite of fish was fresh, no fishy taste at all. Here's a breakdown of each bite I had. Salmon sashimi: very firm with nice bite. Almost like smoked salmon. Rice crisps add nice texture. Pretty fatty. 8/10 Ika: squid, I love squid. Firm texture with fatty chew. Rice almost too warm? Little grainy for this round. Slight smoky flavor from the blow torch 7.5 Hamachi yellowtail: very clean taste. Slight sinew, but overall excellent. 8.6 Hotate Scallop: texture of scallop was excellent. Melts on your tongue and sweet. Bit too much wasabi though, slightly overpowering. Could've been a 9, is an 8 Hirame Fluke: had lime zest on top which was nice. Pretty soft, slight sinew. Felt like it needed more flavor, not my favorite 6.8 Shima Aji striped jack: I love the texture of striped jack, both firm and tender. Was pretty fatty as well. 8.3 Ikura salmon roe: first time I've had it with yuzu peel on top. Adds nice sweetness and citrus flavor to the more briny flavor of the ikura. The ikura was fairly fresh tasting, but there was a bitter aftertaste. First bite: 8, full plate 7/10 Kanpachi amberjack: fish itself was super fatty, tasted very fresh. I think the amount of ginger scallion sauce on mine was a bit overpowering and took away from the fish itself. 7.9/10 Miso black cod(?): very well cooked, nice and sweet glaze. The crisps on top added good texture and sweetness as well. 8.1/10 Akami lean tuna with pickled wasabi root: this one was basically all you can ask for from Akami. No fishy taste at all, super clean. Very tender, no sinew. 9 Madai sea bream: blowtorches and topped with some kind of garlic chili crisp. Pretty tasty, nothing special. 7.9/10 OToro with caviar: most of it melts in your mouth but sadly mine had some sinew I had to chew through. Otherwise a perfect bite, no fishiness at all. Caviar added some salt and texture but otherwise I couldn't not discern a taste. 8.5 A5 Wagyu and uni: as someone who usually does not like uni, this was fantastic. The uni was very sweet and creamy, and the Wagyu tasted fantastic. Flavors mix surprisingly well. My Wagyu was a little sinewy instead of just melting in mouth, but the flavor was really good. 8.9 Kani blue crab: has yuzu for sure. I think this has mayo? Something is a little too rich without enough to balance it. Crab flavor could be stronger. 6/10 Unagi: standard unagi, maybe a bit salty. Nice sweetnesss too. 7.5 Green tea mochi ice cream with strawberry: tastes like the green tea mochi you get from Asian supermarkets. More bittersweet compared to matcha flavored stuff. I'm very partial towards this flavor cause I had it growing up a lot. Strawberry was not very sweet lol. 7.5 Will definitely come again!

It's difficult to describe the impact of tasting each piece of sashimi and sushi as it arrived. Every course felt intentional, delicate, and completely distinct from the one before it. There were moments when I genuinely had to stop and process what I had just tasted. The quality of the fish, the textures, the temperature, and the tiny details accompanying each piece made me understand why omakase is an experience rather than simply a sushi dinner. But there is one particular bite that has basically taken up permanent residence in my memory: the caviar and crème fraîche combination. I sincerely think about it often. Every once in a while, I'll remember exactly what it tasted like and find myself wishing I could experience that first bite all over again. The richness and creaminess paired with the briny pop of the caviar was extraordinary. Chirori completely blew me away. There are plenty of restaurants where I remember having a great meal, but very few where I can mentally return to the flavor of one specific bite months later. That, to me, is the difference between food that is simply delicious and food that becomes a memory seared into your brain forever.

The room was dirtier and louder than I'd expect for $120 omakase (tip was already included after the $99 meal), and the fish leaned toward the cheaper end, sea bream, mackerel, no salmon, nothing that felt special for the price. I've done omakase in a lot of places and I came in knowing what it can be. This didn't get there. The part that actually soured it: we were taking photos because we were thrilled to be there, doing exactly what the chefs were encouraging. A nearby guest seemed annoyed that we were enjoying ourselves, and instead of anything being said to her, a server came over and singled me out. In a bright, loud room, while the chefs were actively performing for the cameras, that felt backwards. It made the happiest, most engaged people at the counter feel like the problem.
