I've been going here my whole life (through several iterations). I no longer live in the area, but have gone when I'm able and in town. It is a no frills place, but you can't get a more solid breakfast (lunch good, too) in the area. Reasonable prices and great portions. Highly recommend. They also have daily lunch specials that are perfect to take home for dinner. read more

Asked for crunchy home fries, there was no attempt at making that happen. Just a bad experience. They were busy, but not crazy busy. many tables were still open. In Spencer on business used Yelp to find this great little spot. The chicken rice soup was FANTASTIC. Thick and rich yet not cream based. Plenty of chicken and no mushrooms- which is my pet peeve with most chicken rice soup. My Greek salad was huge. A little heavy on the onions and peppers but they sautéed them so that helped. Definition of a train wreck! ! I came here for breakfast and needless to say i will not be returning. Not only was my omelette not cooked, it looked as though they sprinkled pube hairs inside my omelette! Absolutely disgusted beyond belief, i showed the waitress who was apologetic, she returned saying a new one would be made. Well the next plate i got the food was half in size and distasteful. The orange juice was warm and my husbands cutlery looked as though it was never washed. They then tried to charge me for my pube omelette as well as the half ass omelette. So The owner was kind enough to respond to my review. I thought I'd give it another try. I went in earlier this week and sat at a booth in the "diner" portion of the restaurant. I ordered a sausage and egg on a bulkie, home fries and a grilled corn muffin. Corn muffin obviously came out of the refrigerator as it was really cold in the center despite being grilled. Home fries were very good. Sandwich bun was chewy Egg/sausage were adequate. Still not great Kosta's!! Step it up!! read more

Kosta's gets five stars for excelling at everything you want from a classic breakfast place. The service is friendly and efficient, and your coffee cup will never be empty. We keep going back for their outstanding corned beef hash; it's not from a can! Getting it with runny poached eggs on top is my JAM. read more

Kayla and her young trainee couldn't have been nicer..coffee re-fills galore and very friendly. I had a better than average meat lovers omelet. loaded with ingredients. home fries were just so-so. Rye toast was four very small squares. My wife had mixed feelings on her banana crepes. Tasty but served barely lukewarm. Black coffee was good but was way too hot!(nit pick?) My son had a fruit bowl--said it was very fresh and he enjoyed. Its the type of place you can sit around and linger. prices are reasonable--very old school. read more

3 stars because they have their good and bad days. have been treated nicely. but there are staff with huge resting bitch face. staff really need training on how to treat customers. price could be a bit more fair. most recent visit with younger cousin we ate on paper plates, nothing was even said to us. there was no "we do apologize but our dishwasher is broken etc etc" just plopped meals down and walked away. was a very bad experience and paid fifty bucks for the whole debacle. i could have made that at home if i wanted to eat on a paper plate. read more

Not a good experience. Was our first time and my order was totally messed up. Order a meat quesadilla with NO green peppers add onion. Well the order came with green peppers and NO onion. Wth people. The breakfast was okay. My pancakes I had ordered were not that good. It didnt taste well. I tasted it was like there was a substitute of some kind. My chocolate milk was too thick. My friend ordered the tuna club and there was no bacon. The fries were bad too. They were mushy and oily. They were even cold. I would rate it lower but my past experiances were good so that helped. Awful experience. My order came out wrong and my toast was burnt, so I sent it back. The new order had uncooked eggs and the new toast was also burnt. The people behind us also sent their food back. I guess the regular cook isn't their early. If you want to go I suggest going after 730am. I ended up leaving and going immediately to Dunkin Donuts. Waste of money. On the positive- it's a nice atmosphere and the waitress was nice. read more

I can't speak for lunch, but breakfast... Oh my. There isn't anything on the menu that I've had that isn't cooked perfectly. The hostess/waitress/director is always on top of her game, and you won't wait for coffee. In fact, if you're one of those chemists that has to get the balance of your sugar/creamer/coffee just right, put a napkin over the cup, because they are quick on the top-off. Since I'm a black coffee drinker, couldn't be better to always have a full hot cup. And the coffee is never bitter. I threw a curve ball at them and ordered a Monte cristo, not on the menu. And it was one of the best ever. Best breakfast within 20 miles I've found yet. read more
