Honestly, I would not normally leave a review for fast food. But this DQ has been a mainstay in town for decades (my parents would go from high school in the 60s). Went there for ice cream but not happy with it. Normally it would be great but this last time it was already melting in the cup as it was served to us at the table. (Also as a Cone. ) It should last a little longer than that. It did in the past. Not sure if the freezer making it had an issue but shouldn't be that way when you get it. Os: the parking is terrible for handicap people. To have handicap in an area where there's a line of cars coming in behind you at constant rarer and don't give you the courtesy of letting you out is a problem. read more

DQ is really an unremarkable fast food burger joint. On that alone, it's no better or worse than any other place. However, the ice cream machine is never broken and there are few things that can satisfy an ice cream craving like a DQ blizzard. The sugar high is satisfied with prompt attention upon payment. You're basic dairy Queen location in the local area. Parking lot is average, you're not waiting long in the drive-thru on most days, the food is mediocre but still something to enjoy if you need something quick or a pit stop. The prices are reasonable for the quality. I enjoyed my cherry slushie and two cheeseburgers. The co-workers there are pleasant and overall it was a good experience stopping at this location. We took a drive today with the nice sunny weather and the cheap gas prices due to the 2020 virus and ended up finding a Dairy Queen. I recently saw a commercial on TV for the new sweet & tangy chicken tenders AND IM FILLING MY FACE NOW!! Inside is obviously closed and everyone seems to be waiting I. The drive thru line. All nice & patiently. I have to say that the DQ workers were wicked quick in moving the line and everything we ordered, 3 meals, was just as ordered. Awesome. The wait time wasn't bad at all. We were the only ones in line at the drive-through. Pulling up to the window, the young lady who took my money did not have a mask on and was touching her mouth. I gave her a pretty decent tip because I didn't want her handing me back my change that was in her hands. She must've heard my comment to my daughter because she then hand sanitized her hands. The blizzards weren't that great, the West Boylston store is definitely better. I got a soft serve cone and the cone was so stale I couldn't eat it. When we were waiting for our order, I looked in and not one employee had a mask on. I just don't understand with the big surge why people are not wearing masks. The last 2 times I have gone I asked for a Backyard Bacon Ranch burger with no barbecue, there has been barbecue on it each time.

I come there all the time and ask for extra cookie dough blizzard. I want them to absolutely stuff that butch with cookie dough and only one time has that ever happened. Who has been here ? If your older and white then the manager will probably give you exceptional service. Apparently, the customer is always right is not real... I look a lot younger than I am but over 10 years in the restaurant business and I know that in September with a crew of he said 20 and a line of cars out to the street that was moving slower than a turtle apparently he had to oversee his new crew member managed to mess up a $8.56 order. We would often frequent this place 2 or 3 times a week when we lived minutes down the road from here... Neither of us had eaten DQ before coming here, and we quickly became regulars. Usually ordered the same batch of items each visit, with a modification or two to change things up a bit from time to time... The food was excellent, only a few times we would receive something made wrong but they were always quick to remake it correctly and never seemed inconvenienced by any of our requests, nor unhappy working there. These kids were always upbeat and eager to serve. The manager was very nice, you could tell he genuinely cared whether you left satisfied. After covid hit, we would join the masses in lining up in the trail of cars stretching down the main road to get our DQ fix... When the lobby finally opened up again for certain hours after the mandatory covid shutdown was over with, we would park in the lot and walk in, place our order, sit by the windows while we waited, and laugh at the double-lines of cars still waiting to reach the drive-thru speaker while we got our food and started eating right away.... (wuttabuncha suckers!) Haha, those were the days... I do really miss coming here, and am disappointed that the only location within miles of where we live now is so terrible and doesn't honor the app rewards deals or points or even offer the full menu...we tried it once, and will never again return to the Kingsport, TN location... I admit, I have an addiction to DQ..Especially in the summer... My family and I love the double cheeseburgers..simple deliciousness...fresh grilled meat, soft and tender.. Very clean, updated DQ, and although service here can be quite slow even when they're not very busy, I will overlook that in exchange for decent fast food and delicious ice cream treats at low prices, especially in the nice weather when we are able to sit under umbrella-topped tables on their patio. On my most recent visit, yesterday, I had a Pumpkin Pie Blizzard for the very first time. It was out of this world---even better than the real thing! I would return to DQ for that alone. Too bad it's only available for the month of September (it should be available year-round). As we live quite close, we'll continue to patronize this establishment. read more

The good thing about this Dairy Queen is it's open all year round. Unfortunately, the quality of my blizzard was not good. I ordered one of my usuals, a small mint Oreo blizzard. It cost $3.63 including tax. I was the only person in line and the person taking my order took about 5 minutes to hand it to me. When she finally handed me my blizzard, she did not turn it upside down like they are supposed to at Dairy Queen. I noticed the blizzard looked melted but I did not want to deal with the grouchy employee again. I went to the car and realized it was too watery to eat. I went through the drive through and the young lady (a different person) was apologetic and immediately offered to remake it. The new blizzard she handed me was much better. I grew up in Spencer and have been coming to this place since I was a kid. It's literally across the street from my high school and I cannot tell you how many kids snuck off and came here. Amazing food and great service. It's completely full service and they have all the food and blizzards advertised on their commercials. My personal favorite is their chicken strip basket. You can eat inside or get takeout. It was when I moved away that I realized how spoiled I was for having this Dairy Queen growing up. No other DQ compares to this one. I ordered a cake for my daughters 18th birthday. This is an important birthday and when I ordered it I showed the person a similar cake in the display they had, she called over the girl who would be doing my daughters cake. Went over what I wanted and was guaranteed that they could do everything. I picked my daughters cake up on the day of her party and the colors, set up on the cake, all not what I had asked for. I took the cake because I had no other option but I told the owner that the cake was not right and he started reading the instructions on the tag, and said "oh" like he was gonna argue with me. Cleanest, most updated DQ I've ever been in--not that I'm a DQ connoisseur. My bf and I shamelessly came here 4 nights in a row. Our excuse: on a vacation, all cares are left behind, and calories are your friends! The staff was always friendly and efficient. The desserts were always overflowing and delish. Yes absolutely a fan. Ive been coming here for some time now, even prior to the renovations it was a good DQ. Like all DQ's when its busy they struggle to keep up with cleanliness but overall thats not a problem. Little pricey but what DQ isnt? Ive never had a bad ice cream or food here they are extremely consistent and that's a good thing, you know what you are getting every time. Now they get one star off for parking lot. Location isnt all their fault, here's how it goes. The lot has about 20 spots that line around the building and a drive through that follows the same semi circle. So when its busy you are crossing that car line. When its real busy the drive thru backs up to where the out door seating is so you are sucking in those fumes. Additionally getting left out of the lot can be a pain, and one person trying to do so can sometimes back up the pick up window. Again this isnt a slam on the food, staff or management but a reviewer has to include this as having been there 20+ times its a consistent issue. The staff are mostly high school kids who do a really good job. There is always a manager on and while I havent had a problem with the food I have seen a few people with issues. The resolution I have seen (3 times) wasnt to argue with the customer about what they ordered but to simply replace it with what the customer wants. You would be surprised how rare it is to ensure the customer is happy. How can you complain if they are willing to replace your item to your specifications? DQ in spencer gets it right. If you are a DQ fan and in the area its worth the stop. read more

This facility is brand new with an expanded menu. Food and service is better than before. They actually bring the food to you now, i like this better. Parking is still difficult but better than before because of the new lines and layout. They have several outside tables on a patio area. They did a good job on the remodel. read more
