On 11/18/2024 I was taken to the ER by ambulance for breathing problems that had been going on for 4 days at that point. I have an extensive cardiac history amongst other health issues: Coronary artery disease Congestive heart failure Unstable angina Vasculitus Anemia Hypothyroidism History of myocardial infraction Peripheral arterial disease Hyperglycemia Hyperlipidemia Atherosclerosis of Arota Left cariod artery stenosis Kidney disease stage 3b Anxiety Depression Asthma Gastric ulcer Diverticulitis disease of colon While in the ambulance they put me on oxygen which helped alot. When I got to the ER I asked several time to have some oxygen and I was told no several times because my oxygen level were fine. Didn't matter to them that it help me regardless of the reading. They did a CT scan and an xray and saw nothing. The ER Dr suggested I be admitted for observation because the reason for the breathing wasn't presenting itself easily. The hospitalist, Dr.Dumbass, aka Dr. Nardow ( If thats how you spell it ) decided to say it's an anxiety/panic attack. Ordered a breathing treatment and Ativan ( thru my IV ) . For those that don't know, Ativan makes you tired, so of course it's going to help calm things. Who on earth has an anxiety/panic attack that lasts 4 days. I was sent home with no referral to a cardiologist or pulmonologest. This morning I woke up again having problems breathing. I called the er 3 times today for the name of the hospitalist who sent me home and all 3 times no one would help. I was told to call hospital records. Tonight I got an email letting me know that I have new test results on the patient portal. My B-type Natriuretic peptide was 150 which according to the site, is high. I was not told that at all. Dr. Dumbass chose to ignore telling me about it because it has been high in previous tests. Wouldn't consistently high results mean something? Dr. Nardow should be fired. I am never going to this hospital again and I will be filing a formal complaint and contacting a lawyer.

They were not. Got into an exam room 45min after scheduled appointment time. First nurse wanted my pharmacy. I started looking up address and she quickly said just give me the road. Like I was impeding on her time after I was waiting an hour (45min plus being there 15min before appt.). What do you think would happen if I just said Route 17. You know my scripts aren't going to the one Walgreens I want. She's picking one of the other 3 on the road. Shortly thereafter got in for X-rays. That X-ray tech was pleasant and only bright spot of the visit. Finally saw Dr. Aldrich 1:15 after my scheduled appointment. He tried his best not to rush but I can tell he was over seeing patients that day. Was short. Hard to understand. He said to get MRI and if nothing is found otherwise we'll do therapy. Hate sports medicine doctors falling back to therapy if they can't figure out the problem in the first visit. Anyway, he never even asked if I had questions and was out the door while finishing his last sentence. Yes I did have questions. Got none answered. Told to wait in room. Was expecting him to come back so not a huge deal. Instead an older nurse with short gray curly hair came back instead. Barged in saying I need to tell her where to send MRI script. I am new to area and not used to the Drs office sending the script to a place as opposed to the patient getting a script in hand. She just glared and gave me eyes as I scrambled to see if I could find a place associated with my PCP, took my insurance, was close to my home, and not a hospital where sick people are - perhaps an imaging center. She was impatient and didn't explain anything. To the point my young child said something to me after. I just gave a nearby hospital that she said was good and hoped for the best. It's Hampton Roads. It's not like the population doesn't turnover frequently. Then as we left the exam room, she turns to her co-workers and said angrily the guy took 10minutes to figure out where to go for a MRI. B, it was 5 and I didn't even get to pick. It's 5:30 at this point. Been there almost 2 hours. Saw staff for a total of 10 minutes tops and she's complaining I'm taking to long. All because she wanted to go home. Walked to checkout, lights off, staff lined up at door waiting for me to leave. Got no questions answered, no needed doctors note, no documentation of any kind that I was even there. Just got to sit there for 2 hours and be insulted. Cherry on top. After more than a week and not hearing anything we finally reached out to the hospital bc this office doesn't return calls. Find out the hospital doesn't do MRIs for children that young. So this doctor treats children but doesn't know that Sentera won't do MRIs for children of a certain age??? Decided to start over. Spent a month and several calls to get this doctors staff to provide the X-rays before I could go elsewhere so I don't get hit again by insurance. At the end of the day, I'm out copay, 2 hours time plus time on calls with office & hospital, a second trip to Williamsburg (gas and 45 more minutes) to finally get X-ray images and worst of all my child's treatment delayed 2 months. Plus the new doctor could see the issue in the X-ray that this first office did not. (Though used MRI to confirm) What an embarrassment.

I have asthma and allergies and was having more nasal congestion than usual and didn't want it to get really bad. Dr Queen has been my ENT for over 10 years and is just amazing. I called the office and staff worked me in to get an appointment that afternoon. I registered at home before my appt so I didn't have to do anything but see the doctor. It was a sinus infection and I needed antibiotics. I am so thankful to doctor Queen and his staff for getting me in so quickly to treat this before it got much worse. Everyone in this office is just amazing and I tell all of my friends and family they should definitely see Dr. Queen.

They were all courteous, very helpful, and some event cheerful! Military facilities don't exactly have a stellar reputation, so I wasn't expecting to much, but we were seen in a timely manner, the nurses was thorough and explained the process. It's a quiet clinic, and doesn't seem to get lots of traffic, but that's fine with me if it means great bedside manners and proper care. The only thing that I noticed that needs work is the snack bar. Due to the nature of the procedure, I was told, as the caretaker that I could not leave the building so I had to resort to getting something at the snack bar. We had to leave very early in the morning so I had no time for breakfast, so your girls was starving! They seemed to have broken equipment and because of this, had very limited options for hot food items. It was still clean and neatly kept. They could probably use a better coffee machine and maybe some more grab and go baked items. The man behind the counter was nice though. I guess better a snack bar than no snack bar though right? I switched to his practice when I was 36 weeks pregnant because I didn't feel comfortable with the doctors I was seeing. Dr. Bob took me on as a patient, at the end of my pregnancy, and spent over an hour with me at my first appointment. He made me feel at ease and a few weeks later, delivered my baby in my easiest delivery yet. He came to my room regularly to check on me and love on my baby, listening to my every concern and easing my mind. His nurses are delightful and his P.A. Tammy is quite literally an angel. These wonderful people actually make me enjoy getting a pap smear. Best OBGYN ever.
