It's a nice restaurant. It's in the middle of the city next to the big square. The staff is friendly and the food is served very fast. On the menu is a lot of traditional food which is nice if you want to try new things. The home made lemonade is excellent!

    Winter drinks! Mmmmmm

I'm about to tear this place up... Hang on. For one reason only. They charge over 2 euro for tap water. I had two beers so far and a full meal and they want to charge me for tap water? Sorry.... It's over. You need to change this policy immediately. I'm about to fill up my glass in the bathroom sink. How interesting, as I am writing this, a woman is asking for toilet paper from the bartender because there is none in their bathroom. But I bet the bathroom has free water. Enjoy, lady... Enjoy. :)

My Pork rubs is average to good and my +1 is having a duck leg with bonus of a green fly the waiters told us that is the risk of having the meal in the garden. The garden is nice and literally next to Old Town Square

Grilled portobello mushroom. Marinated in balsamic. It was tasty

Nestled under some trees near the large square is this little gem. Outside table didn't look filled but menu was varied so we gave it a try. We sat in the unused area further from the restaurant. Outside seats closer to the building were taken. Our food was all great. I had the salmon with beet and potato puree. We shared the asparagus appetizer, oldest got the book tenderloin with cherry and plus sauces, hubby got the chicken and pork kebab, and youngest had sides of portobello mushroom, grilled pineapple and a baked potato. Everything was delicious and our waitress was wonderful. I'd definitly go back. Their credit card machine wasn't working so we had to get cash bit everything else was amazing

This place is located by old town! It's a great place to just enjoy legit Czech food!

Good spot for traditional Czech cooking. Mighf look a bit touristic but it is ok still. Got to try. More for a winter warming meal!

If you are looking for a very lively place that seats about thirteen hundred guests per day and has twelve tanks of beer, and the beer hall vibe then this spot is most certainly for you. Close to the Old Town square it is not at all touristy, the service is good and the prices are very fair for what you get. K ordered the Goulash, and I had the Chicken Schnitzel along with a beetroot salad to share. The food was plentiful and very good, especially the goulash gravy which was a deep colour that had amazing flavour. The schnitzel was not as big as the plate, but I couldn't finish it. K had a glass of wine and I a beer for about $64 CDN, which is good in Prague. Our only quibble was that the beetroot salad turned into a cabbage salad with horseradish. It was also good, but not what we ordered. We would most certainly come back and endure the half hour wait to experience and enjoy what is a somewhat unique European offering.

We are early diners and the only couple near us were also Americans on holiday. Our server spoke excellent English and guided us through the menu choices. After an appetizer of tomatoes and cucumbers in a light dressing, I ordered the sirloin in cream and my wife the trout filet. The food, like the service, was superb. Our server surprised us with a complimentary "shot" of a very strong Czeck liqueur at the end of the meal. we had a grand time and hope you will too!!

It was a pleasant walk from the Hilton Atrium Hotel, and the weather was beautiful. We arrived and were immediately seated and brought menus. The decor is nothing special, and it spoke to a nice Czech restaurant vibe. Our server was very good, promptly returning to get our drink order (I had a glass of Chardonnay and we both had waters). We were not super hungry, so we bypassed the appetizer and salad selections and went straight for the entree menu. My wife chose the Goulash and I selected the Grilled Chicken Breast. Our meals arrived shortly, and they were both hot. My wife loved the Goulash, which was accompanied by two large potato dumpling pieces. The gravy was thick and flavorful and the meat was fork-tender and delicious. My Chicken was a bit tough, but had pretty good flavor with the sauce. It was also served with a side of Gnocchi, that paired nicely with the dish. The advertised cauliflower and peas were a bit sparse, but the Gnocchi made up for it. Service was very good, with our water glasses refilled frequently and servers asking if everything was good. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal, though the Chicken could have been a bit more tender. If we get back to Prague, we would definitely like to come back and try one of the Duck dishes as well as the goose liver pate' appetizer. Ambiance - 9/10 Service - 10/10 Food - 9/10 Value - 10/10

I was about to order a glass of wine when I saw the Pilsner Urquell in the three styles. Although the menu did not have the official name, I opted for The Cut (aka Šnyt), which is more foam than beer. For dinner, I went with the Veal & Cheese Rissole. The breading provided plenty of flavor to the veal & pork combo. The mashed potato had a very creamy texture. Unfortunately, the cucumber salad was the least favorite of the three. The shredded cucumber was akin to sauerkraut being drowned in water. I regretfully passed on the dessert. From my vantage point, I could not see anyone ordering dessert. Even more regrettable, before I left, I discovered the restroom was not well cleaned.

Having had just arrived in Prague earlier that day and having cycled 100+ kilometers, I was quite famished when I arrived. I hadn't made a reservation but being a singleton at an early evening hour, the staff found me a table quickly. I started by ordering an alcohol-free beer and then I perused the menu. Marek, the waiter, soon came to my aide and helped me pick out a hearty portion: dumplings, of course! For dessert, I also had another set of dumplings and I loved both dishes.
