My husband and I have our birthdays exactly 5 years and 6 weeks apart, which means every time he hits a milestone birthday I hit one 6 weeks later. This year was big: He turned 75 in October and I turned 70 just recently. So I decided to have a combined birthday party for us both, and to see if I could design a custom cake that would reflect "145 years" (70 + 75). I had absolutely no idea what kind of cake to order. Well, Patricia could not have been more helpful! She showed me some amazing creative pictures of other cakes she had made, and I ended up designing the top of the cake to more or less match the invitations I had sent out. She was so great about the flavors! When I told her about our favorite flavors, which included key lime and raspberry, she suggested a key lime cake with raspberry filling. WOW! It was a huge hit with everyone and there was only enough left over for us to take home for one more serving each. AND it was beautiful (if you don't mind a humorous cake)! I don't know how she managed to get the design I sent her in a PDF to be so exact on a cake, but it was awesome. Everyone loved it and we were so pleased.
