Cute neighborhood coffee shop on the corner. I did park on the street and walk for a min or two. It bad There was a line but it moved fast. I got a caramel mocha I believe with oat milk. It was good. My baby got the raspberry donut. It was gone in moments! lol. I got the everything bagel donut was a bit too oniony or buttery. It was giving me a headache. It was also supposed to have cream cheese but nothing was inside. I think that's why the seasoning was overpowering. It could have been really good though. Was visiting the pizza shop next door and saw the sign. My friend wanted a latte so we went in. Old school layout with plenty of seating indoors and a couple tables outside. Great presentation of the doughnuts with signs indicating which were cake and yeast. Ordered a half dozen with one of each. Server gave plenty of information on doughnuts as well as great coffee service. Salted caramel doughnut was hands down one of the best doughnuts I've had in my 53 years. The yeast doughnuts were good, but I prefer the cake doughnut texture better. In any event you won't be disappointed with either style. I came to Revolution at 10:30 AM on a Sunday. The line took about 30 min, but there was plenty of parking and seating. It was also a beautiful day, so no one had any issues waiting that long. My son is.a big fan of the raspberry doughnut from Revolution. He noticed the shop as soon as we walked to our lunch restaurant at the nearby pizza place. Even though we had just eaten pizza and wings, we made sure to save room for dessert here! I saw that they have a seasonal doughnut with fresh peach, so I ordered one and I thank my lucky stars that I did! Today may be the last day they may have peach as the season is winding down, and they use fresh peach slices. It is so amazingly good! It is like heaven on Earth-- I close your eyes with each slow bite. to savor the experience. My son's raspberry doughnut was equally satisfying with a few exclamations of "oh yeah' with happy head nodding. We will be back so I can try the apple fritter which is available every weekend. No lines at 12:30 pm on Saturday and service was friendly and prompt. There is even dine in seating available which I never noticed. I parked on a side road as we had lunch on the same store strip. Loved these vegan donuts. You can definitely tell that they are vegan, because they don't quite scratch the familiar donut itch but are nonetheless terrific. The reason why is bc you don't feel disgusting after eating one, you just feel good and donut filled. Revolution is a great little doughnut shop; they are on the other side of town from me, so I make it a point to stop by when I'm over in Decatur. They have a nice variety of sweet and savory doughnuts and make one of the best apple fritters you will find. And they have great coffee (featuring Counter Culture beans), with a large list of hot and cold options including cold brew; their lattes are really nice. You can also pick up some whole beans for home. Service is efficient and friendly. Note that the small dining area closed during Covid and has not re-opened; eating in the lobby is frowned upon due to limited space so keep the weather in mind if you're not looking to grab and go (there are a few spots outside). Definitely recommend a visit here if you are looking to add a gourmet doughnut or four to your day. read more

My favorite sweet tooth delight with seasonal favorites that have fresh peaches or strawberries. The only thing I would suggest is go early not late because freshness is key with any food but especially with these gems. My grands love the raspberry sprinkles and I like that they use quality ingredients and it isn't filled with colored dyes. My husband's favorite is the toasted almond which is unusual because he is the sweet tooth of the family. We use to always go to the Decatur location but now we hit this location in or out of town especially on our way to church. To be totally honest, I think that these donuts are kind of overrated. They aren't bad but I have definitely had better. Some positives are that the donuts are big for the price, a good amount of options, and the service is great. They have a tier system so different donuts cost different prices but it is hard to see and the line gets long so it feels like you need to be fast so you might not know how much the donuts you're getting are. The yeast donuts aren't my favorite but the unfilled ones are good, I have had a strawberry slider, which is a filled donut, and it was way too sweet, I felt sick after eating it. I recently tried a cake donut to compare and it isn't like any other cake donuts that I've had. It had a different texture than I excepted and I just didn't really like that either. The flavor also just wasn't that great. I also had a bite of the blueberry pie and the filling had a strange taste and I didn't really get any blueberry taste. There are a lot of great donut places around and this one isn't for me. I have given it a couple of tries recently but haven't been that impressed lately and I probably won't go back. read more

I was taking some backroads through the Decatur area and pulled over when I saw the Revolution Doughnuts sign. The inside was cute and clean with a great selection of beautiful doughnuts. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. I'm a HUGE doughnut connoisseur and don't usually care for the more dense or 'cakey' dough recipes. Great service! Great vegan options! I've come several times. Today we chose lemon lavender, vanilla bean, cappuccino crunch, and carrot cake. The creativity and monthly masterpieces Revolution unveils take this place from 4 stars to 5 (saying "extra points for creativity" wouldn't begin to suffice for their offerings)...honestly I wanted to give it 4 stars after laying out the case below, but I just could not with the effort they bring to their menu. They've done an excellent job creating demand for their donuts, which while very unique and ever-changing, are not always head and shoulders above other donut shops in the area (in terms of quality alone). That said, where else can you get a pear ginger cardamom fritter, a maple bourbon old fashioned, or a sweet potato casserole donut? You can't, at least not in the area. My personal favorite is the crunchy mister, which is essentially an awesome ham and gruyere sandwich on a donut that's got toasted cheese on top. It's handheld, it's got a delightful sauce that melds the flavors, and it's priced on par or cheaper than you'll pay for breakfast sandwiches elsewhere (I just wish you could add an egg). If you aren't already part of the cult that shows up a half hour before they open and waits to get in line, I think it's best to go in excited to try new and different flavor combinations than you've had in the past and not necessarily expecting a higher-quality pastry or "the best old fashioned donut you've ever had." If you take that mentality, you'll have a fun experience and won't be disappointed. Recently, I tried their cold brew with nutella "syrup" added, which was neat. Let me start off by saying Revolution Donuts is my favorite donut shop in Atlanta. Prior to the pandemic I came here once a week on my way to work for a treat. I haven't been here since March and was craving donuts so I decided to take the 25 minute drive. They are now only open Fri-Sun so I expected that there would be a line. When I got there the line was outside and to the corner. I wanted to leave but my need for donuts overpowered my not wanting to wait. This location is in downtown Decatur off of College Ave located in a small plaza with limited parking especially on a busy day. This location is always clean, cozy, with several tables and chairs for when they were open for dine-in. Peach almond crumb is cake donut topped with almond and peach pieces moist, soft, with a flaky crust Cinnamon sugar are dense, moist, and sugary Vanilla bean is a yeast donut with a vanilla glaze on top Cherry pie cake with cherries, icing on top Raspberry sprinkles yeast with raspberry icing Toasted almond cake donut moist topped almonds and icing Even though the line was long it moved fairly quickly and I only waited about 20 minutes but it was well worth the wait. I called them a few days ago cause I was looking for some cronuts, but they told me they didn't have them! I'm personally not a fan of these donuts! Because all the donuts have the same base! My first time coming here, I was really excited due to all the great things I've heard and we were doing comparison of the best donuts in the city. After trying the donuts here, I dare say - when it comes to yeast donuts - I don't think anyone can beat these guys: ATMOSPHERE I would say the only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is the lack of atmosphere. The wait to get your donut in most cases will be close to an 30 min or more due to the fact that they only allow 2-3 people inside at a time so the line literally runs around the block. This is the only reason I have not been back because I'm usually on the run and cant spare the extra 1+ hour of waiting to get my order. Once you go inside, there is not much space - no place to sit, but I did get a kick out of the donut gear you can buy (shirts, hats etc). SERVICE Service in my opinion could be better. I always come to a new place with a ton of questions but the person behind the counter was not keen on answering as everyone seemed rushed. Not knowing what to order and realizing I was not going to get any detailed answers, I just blindly pointed at 6 donuts to try. DONUT HEAVEN Honestly, if you were to ask me what I ordered I would not be able to tell you since I just pointed and chose blindly but one donut I will never forget was the pistachio ..something or another. It was amazing, actually - they all were. If I was going to compare other yeast donut shops in Atlanta to this one, I would say there isn't any comparison really.
