I called and spoke with Tonya who was able to get us in immediately. Dr. Brooke McAfee diagnosed my little angel with Mitral Valve disease after some X-rays and listening to her murmur. Receiving this news was life altering- Belle has been my baby for almost 8 years. Dr. Brooke is amazing- she has the most wonderful and kind nature, inclusive of the empathy so many veterinarians lack these days. She guided me through all of the next steps, and I genuinely felt she cared even knowing we weren't a long term client/patient. I'm beyond grateful for everything Dr. Brooke, Tonya and their staff here did for us while we were in Indiana. Without question, 5 stars!

So today was the day of my appointment and I go to the address per Yelp and i find a pool store and not a vet. So i then proceed to call the vets office multiple times and they do not answer or even have a voicemail system. This is very frustrating so I drive back home and decide once I'm home to call one more time. Finally, someone answers and tells me that the location i went is not the correct one. I explained what happened and asked if I could still bring in my pet for a rabies shot today. They declined but offered to reschedule. My one star is based on them #1 not updating their Yelp Address #2 not answering their phone or having a voicemail. She needed surgery and every one of the staff members was so sweet, caring and informative. The vet, Amy Jamieson took the time to explain everything, the process, special diet afterwards, what to look for during recovery, etc. in a patient and caring way. She is very approachable and kind, really caring about your loved one. The staff could tell how concerned I was about my baby and the worry about the cost. They assured me they would make her better, they had done this before, she was going to be fine - with an actual hug and hand squeeze to confirm they got this! Moreover, they were completely transparent with the cost estimates (which ended up being less than what they quoted!). The exceptional customer service is paramount here! They called every day after the surgery to check on my little one (is she eating, is she going to the bathroom, how is she acting?) How wonderful! The front desk reception is kind and organized, just making it a lovely experience. I would trust any animal member of the family with the staff here and just really feel like we were cared for - what a great place.

Dr. Bloom and her team are amazing. My dog and I drive 45 minutes each way to see her, with no…read moreregrets. She is an excellent clinician with expertise in lameness issues for large and small animals. My dog, Sam, was diagnosed with a ligament tear last February when we were living in Colorado. Our vet said the only thing that would help was a $5K surgery with months of rehab. I was moving to the Midwest within a month and knew that wouldn't work, so I got a second opinion. Sam started doing PT and was on meds to help with the pain. In the meantime, I learned about Spryng, an injection that is technically a medical device that was recently approved by the FDA to treat lameness for dogs. It is also used with horses. Dr. Bloom was the only veterinarian in the area using Spryng. She immediately got Sam on a laser treatment regimen (twice weekly) to reduce the inflammation. I honestly saw a difference in his gait immediately. After the inflammation was in check, he got Spryng in his hind legs and was like a new dog. He is no longer on pain meds, and he now gets Adequan, an injection to help with arthritis, every two weeks. Dr. Bloom is 84 and is still practicing, which is amazing. She worked at Chicago racetracks treating elite horses for 35 years, which is how she learned so much about lameness. Dr. Bloom is a true gem and will soon be featured on WLS TV/7 in Chicago. As the reporter told me: she's a legend. I am so thankful I found her and her team of vet techs are remarkable, too. She has a small clinic on her cattle farm and we look forward to our visits.
