Went here for the first time with friends the other day, about mid afternoon, so not too crowded, which was perfect. This is a family owned restaurant and the servers/owner are super nice and helpful. We were able to sit where ever we wanted. It's booths mostly. They came to our table right away with crunchy noodles and duck sauce and took our drink orders. They have a nice selection of choices in the menu. You can do individual meals - such as Sesame chicken. And that comes with rice and is a large portion (plenty to take home). They also have combo meals, which 3 of us did. The combos come with choice of soup, steamed rice (or fried rice $1, lo mein noodles, etc.) a fried spring roll and your entrée of choice. It was a generous portion of food and everything was delicious! The sesame chicken was perfectly tender. The Thai chicken was lightly spicy and the shrimp and veggies had big, tender shrimp. I loved the wonton soup - it came piping hot and really warmed me up. I'd definitely go here again and try take out. The sauce was almost nonexistent. Hardly any cashews, not enough chicken. There was a ton of celery. The egg fried rice had no fried egg. With so many food choices in the Spanish Springs area, we feel lucky to have selected Konami Asian Express as our place to dine. They are located at 5882 Bella Cruz Drive and share a large off street private parking lot with other businesses and even have a VIP area just outside the front door for golf carts. Excellent sit down Chinese place with very tasty meals served on real China and real forks and spoons. We had the crab Rangoon so crunchy and tasty, the General Tao's chicken that was seasoned well and not too spicy with tangy sauce and fried rice, also the shrimp fried rice was a generous portions had a wonderful flavor. Absolutely delicious food and super courteous server's. After looking at the entire menu I settled on one of my favorites, Thai Basil chicken and I must say that it was absolutely amazing! The chicken was so tender and juicy, the vegetables was prepared perfectly, with just a little crunch not over cooked and the sauce wasn't too sweet but with just the right amount of heat. I can't wait to try the rest of the items on the menu. The décor could be updated but I'm not complaining when the food tastes sooo awesome. See ya here soon! read more

I don't know what happen this time around when we ordered our usual order, plus added some other options to our order. First of all, I was not going to call and ask why our order was different, because in my experience they just brush it off as if one is not telling the truth, so 'm hoping they read this review and fix the problem or they will lose a customer. My favorite is the Happy family and have been ordering this for years among other specials on their menu. The order is usually well balanced with vegetables, meats, and different sea food, large shrimp, scallops, and always a small piece of Lobster Tail or some type of fish. This order had a large amount of Broccoli, very little meats, and sea food and the Lobster Tail was missing. The Broccoli In Garlic sauce was not what I expected, the steamed dumpling's were smaller, as was the wonton's in the soup. Again, I hope they fix this before losing a lot of customers. I will also add that the food for some reason was very greasy, which took away the enjoyment of eating Chinese that evening. To me, up to this point, this take out restaurant is the best in my area in Lady Lake, the Villages and I hope they don't continue cutting corners.
