First visit to KPOT Korean BBQ tonight and had a wonderful time! The space was decked out for Halloween which added some color to the space but was amazed at how deep it went and how many tables they had. Our party of 5 took over a larger table in back, each person has a hot pot burner and there were 2 shared grills for Korean BBQ. All I can say is that we ate to exhaustion, the ingredients were all fresh and generous, you can order 5 selections per person in 4 minute intervals, wut wut? A way better option than some other Korean BBQ places I've tried. Service was friendly and our grills were changed out halfway through. Add in the large bar, cocktail menu and reasonable prices and you've got a total winner for AYCE Korean BBQ/hot pot in my book. Let's face it, eating out is not cheap in 2025 but KPOT delivers deliciousness and great value which is a bit rare these days. My guess is that the lower rated reviews might be for when they first opened but our experience tonight was top-notch.

We went to the Korean BBQ and Hot Pot for lunch on a Friday. We arrived at around 12:30 and were immediately seated. Party of 4. The waitstaff were very friendly and helpful. We used the iPad to choose our broths and other items (we did get the Korean BBQ too). Food was delivered quickly and then -- "let the feasting begin" !!! The sauce and appetizer bar were clean and well stocked. It was so much food !!! I'm not a huge fan of this concept but I went along as a team player. Had we not been with the other couple (who love them some Hot Pot) we would not be eating here. It's just not my jam. Shout out to the staff. They were amazing.

The newest hot pot ~and~ KBBQ spot in Durham was a hit! We opted to get both for $5 extra (so approximately $25 total for lunch). While it's a great value for money, we thought it might be a better experience to focus fully on one at each visit. Also, it did get confusing which items- especially meats- were for KBBQ & which were for hot pot at times; the staff were a bit unclear on this as well but hopefully it will get better with time. I got the Szechuan broth, which I didn't find particularly spicy, but it was tasty. They have a wide variety of broths and food items (beef, pork, seafood, veggies, noodles, etc) to grill/put in the hot pot. They also have a large sauce station (although I wish they had pre-made sauces) in addition to banchan (seaweed salad, cabbage & cucumber kimchi, radish) and fried appetizers (spring rolls, chicken nuggets, fries, etc- we resisted the temptation haha). Their dessert options are limited- they do have a bunch of fruits + vanilla/coconut cake, which was kinda mid. 4 of us went for lunch on a Friday, and there was no wait. The ambiance is sleek & new. Service was fast & attentive; they took the time to explain how everything worked, which was great. Plenty of free parking available. 9/10 would recommend!

It was amazing they sang happy birthday to me and my friend had fun we also got free cream after.

Good food choices but be ready for a wait!…read more I have been to Wheat twice and tried a variety of the vegetarian dishes. I had the Vegetable Lo Mein, Braised Tofu, Mapo Tofu, Fried Rice and Spring Rolls. The Braised Tofu is not very flavorful, so I would avoid that. The Mapo Tofu is absolutely delicious and has that perfect peppercorn kick. It is spicy, so get a sweet drink on the side if you are not a fan of spice. Vegetable Lo Mein is a large quantity with lots of vegetables. Ask for some sauces on the side because it is bland on its own. On the other hand, the Fried Rice is yummy on its own or with the Mapo Tofu. Spring Rolls are a little oily to my liking but are a good vegetarian appetizer option. I will say that this place is always packed, even on weekdays and sometimes the wait staff forgets about you. It took several rounds to get them to take our order, give the food or even get the check at the end. I will try it out next time at lunch time because maybe it is a little faster. I plan to be back for the Mapo Tofu and Fried Rice

For example, when my friend told him that she wanted to order the beef intestine soup, he straight up said "uh are you sure? A lot of their menu items looked really good and while initially I thought that I would want to come back sometime and try them, the attitude of the waiter was so off putting that I highly doubt I'll ever be back here.

I made a reservation for 6:30pm on a Friday. I recognize sometimes exact reservation times cannot be honored but I was a little concerned at how slow the service was and how crowded the already small space was. They could not really give us an idea of when we would be sat and so we had to just kind of shuffle around to keep trying to be out of the way. It took about 15 minutes before a table finally opened up and we were able to sit. From there, the service continued to be slow. I know the staff - both servers and kitchen - were working hard. I don't blame them as much as it feels like they are understaffed and stretched thin. Overall, it took a while for us to get our food, and we were all hangry by the time we had food. The servers were running around so it took a while whenever we needed something or ran out of water. The food itself surprised me. I know the menu was small and curated but I was actually surprised how little variety there was. And I don't know if I would consider this a vegan/vegetarian friendly place anymore. While they do have dishes and options, it is minimal. I got the pork and mushroom dumplings, pork bao bun, onigiri, and the housemade belt noodles. Both the dumplings and belt noodles were coated in a chili oil that made them almost inedible. And I like spicy! But this was too much. My favorite was the onigiri. Overall, between wait, service, quality, and price, I do not think I will be back.

Sometimes, these are not available, however. | Full Review My girl & I have been here multiple times to buy ingredients for Asian dishes. We often get fresh salmon and shrimps from the seafood section, and we appreciate how seafood here are generallt cheaper compared to H-Mart in Cary. However, H-Mart is still more reliable overall when it comes to other products like kimchi, Korean side dishes, marinated meats, and various other Asian products. Unlike H-Mart's Korean focus, Li Ming's is primarily Chinese, so it's more line Grand Asia Market in Raleigh. One good thing we like in Li Ming's over Grand Asia is that it's less crowded and more spacious areas. Although it can get crowded here at times, it doesn't feel as congested as Grand Asia's constant overflow of customers coming and going. However, when it comes to the different goods you can get from Grand Asia's restaurant/cafe/bakery, Li Ming's Global Mart falls short. All you can get in Li Ming's are mostly mediocre-tasting Chinese food that goes well with rice and some noodle bowls that may be too salty to some people. The bakery inside Li Ming's is nice; we used to buy egg tarts and curry bread here. It's no Tours les Jours but it's not bad. They also offer boba milk tea but we wouldn't recommend it. As for the canned/preserved/frozen foods in the grocery section, generally, we prefer Korean brands over Chinese ones, so overall, we still prefer going to H-Mart for buying Asian products. Just like in H-Mart, we've seen unfriendly customer service in Li Ming's but no major issues. The most problematic one was when we tried to dine-in and get the 3 choices of food with white rice, and the lady serving had an attitude, and did'nt put enough fish on our plate. | Overall Score: 3.3/5

We live in Knightdale so this was a trek for the dinner hour but I stand by my decision. This place is right downtown off of Magnum so there's parking garages nearby. Don't be fooled by the facade. Apparently this place used to be Dos Perros, and the logo is still in the glass Inside you immediately walk into the front bar area and hostess stand. They were busy so it took a while for someone to address us. We grabbed a high top in the bar area. They have like a dozen AC units throughout the dining space, so temperature control was a priority. (Appreciated). Food wise we grabbed the calamari, some spicy wings and some steamed dumplings to start. Dumplings were decent. Calamari was pale and could have been fried harder. Also, it was a weird cut....long flat pieces instead of the circular cuts I'm used to. My kids loved it, but def not the best I've had. The wing sauce was a highlight. We asked for hot, but as a table if west Indian people, the heat level was mild. The wings were also slightly less done than I like. They were drowning in a plate of sauce though. I'm wishing i would have taken the sauce to go and refired some wings at home and put em under the broiler so the sauce would have caramelized on the meat. They had all the elements, but that would have def improved the flavor and texture there. For entrees, we got a Chicken Pad Thai (my son called it a spiritual experience) , two orders of pad see ew with crispy tofu and one Drunken Noodle with Pork. I didn't taste the pad Thai so can't cosign my son's review. The sauce on the pad see ew was the highlight. The tofu was under done (not crispy), and the Drunken noodles were decent. For the Triangle, this was great Thai. Comparing to all the other Thai I've had in life, this was ok. But if they want to seel their sauces on the side, I would def grab some of those and chef it up at home. Staff was friendly and attentive. Felt like family owned - no pretense, just helpful people.
