    Pork ramen

Food always so good, very clean restaurant and no complain about service: really nice and helpful servers. Thank you so much

We came in for lunch and got calamari as an appetizer which was crispy and flavorful. We all got ramen. It was very warm and cozy. The veggies were fresh and the meat was juicy. The spicy chicken broth was good but didn't have as much flavor as I was expecting and definitely not spicy they just give you chili oil on the side. My brother got a miso chicken broth and I much preferred that one. We will be back to try their pho because someone around us ordered it and it smelled so good.

I am glad that they take allergies seriously. Previously (I think other owners) it was more of a buffet type style place and they stated everything was cooked in the same oil so shellfish allergies couldn't be guaranteed safe. NOW with their ramen I feel safe eating here since it's more of a restaurant style with take out or seated dining. The waitress was to the point and helpful. She got us food quickly and took our order pretty fast as well. At first, we were a little confused as to if we were supposed to stand and order and then take it to our table but now it is a regular dining experience-sitting and being served. The broth and the noodles are so good! The chicken Karaage was good but a little meh compared to the ramen. They could have added more pork belly to the ramen considering they charged an extra $3 for it and I got exactly 3 pieces added in. So portions were good outside of the pork belly additional meat. They have their own parking and it wasn't too busy which was nice! The prices were a little high but most ramen places are expensive.

Tried the fried chicken and pork belly bao buns, short ribs, and both the tonkatsu and teriyaki chicken ramen. The chicken bao was decent (3.7/5) -- a bit dry, but the crispy batter helped. The pork bao wasn't our favorite could be the chewy texture of it being slightly grilled (2.7/5). Short ribs were well cooked and big enough to share. The ramen overall was average, the broth was enjoyable but no specific flavors stood out and I really liked the noodles. Service was good as well. I plan to come back to try the rice and noodles bowls next.

The best! Love it. So good. Interior is clean and nice color blocking design. We had the best meal. Dumpling appetizer. Fried mushrooms. Beef jerky. All cooked to perfection. Noodle soups were all amazing. Recommend them all. But especially tom kha. Even the dessert was divine. Service was super friendly and very affordable.

This is a great place to get Ramen. My wife and I were in the area and we stopped by. It's seems to be a new place. Very nice decor. We were greeted immediately when we entered and shown to a booth. Our server took our drink orders while we perused the menu. I ordered the Curry Chicken Ramen and asked our server about the spice level. She suggested the mild spice which was perfect. The Ramen had slices of chicken, a good helping of noodles, bok choy and crispy noodles. Delicious!! My wife had the Chicken Teriyaki Rice bowl. She wasn't thrilled. It needed more sauce and something else to provide a more varied taste. It might be better as ramen. I'd come back.

New ramen alert!! Another GOOD noodle bar just opened up in CH/Durham area. Despite being in a noodle-centric area (with noodle 501 next door and twisted noodle & spicy 9 & Pirate & pho happiness pretty close by), we found Tasu unique because they have many soup base options for their ramen. Portion is not as big as places like noodle 501, but the ramen quality was unexpectedly high and justified the price in our opinion. My favorite ramen in chapel hill so far! We started with gyoza and fried enoki (with spicy sauce) and got noodles (duck ramen and curry ramen). Everything was fresh, flavorful and well made. Service was friendly, attentive and very fast. Place is clean and quiet, with lots of parking outside. Easy for a quick lunch. We will definitely be back and we recommend Tasu noodle bar to ramen lovers in the area :)

I was very excited to see that they had pork Bao buns...unfortunately they lacked flavor. The actual pork lacked flavor. It did come with a sort of BBQ sauce but it was just "meh". They also put big slices of lettuce on the bun vs a slaw. I also purchased 2 spring rolls and they were very mushy on the inside so you couldn't taste the crunch of fresh veggies. The customer service was nice and the business looked nice when I went to pick up my order. But, as a whole I wasn't too happy with my food. 3 stars because maybe their noodles are better.

Another day, another ramen craving. I had never been to Tasu Noodle Bar, but it was recommended to me by a friend. I got Tonkotsu ramen (my favorite) because I am on the hunt for the best. I really did enjoy it. I really, really loved the Napa cabbage in it. The other places I've tried usually don't have Napa cabbage in the ramen, but now I prefer it, so I will be coming back here for the ramen. I also got the crab rangoons, those were decent.

Quick, easy, and delicious. Stopped here on a shopping trip with my mom. The service was great, they answered our questions. The food came out in a timely manner. The place was not crowds and had some decent music playing.

The ambience is beautiful and cozy, and the customer service was so warm and attentive. We sat upstairs in the izakaya during happy hour (Tuesday). The standout for me was the crispy tofu bao bun. The sauce in it was SO good, I honestly wish I had ordered more, especially since it was only $4. We also tried oysters for the first time (they were around $1.50-$1.99 during happy hour), and they were surprisingly delicious. We tried a few grilled skewers, shrimp, eggplant, and tofu, which were good, but not my absolute favorites of the night. The best was the egg sando. It might sound simple, but it was incredible, honestly tasted just like the ones I had in Japan, if not better. And the fries?? Perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My new favorite fries in Durham.

There's not a ton of seating, but we got a table quickly. The service was quick, and even though the place was small, it felt more cozy than cramped. I liked having the menu on the wall! They had two vegan options, and my partner & I both got the Biang Biang noodles. It was good, and perhaps even better the next day (the serving was big enough that I couldn't finish it). My sister got the Jjajiang Mian & absolutely loved it. This was a very positive experience, but not mindblowing--I think that the hype around the "M" restaurants perhaps raised my expectations a bit too much. It's also possible that their non-vegan options are stronger than their vegan options. Overall, though, very yummy, the prices are very reasonable for Durham ($16 for the Biang Biang noodles), and I would come back & try the veggie curry if given the chance.

I was disappointed however when they told me they are currently out of the vegan udon curry dish, which was 1/2 items I could eat. Nevertheless, I ordered the other dish, Biang Biang Noodles. The store was not full, there were two servers and at least 3 tables that were empty but the wait time to get my single dish or noodles took over 30 minutes - way longer than expected. While the noodles were well cooked and packed with flavor, I felt that the dish was far too oily and without much tofu/protein. Perhaps the other meals are less oily and more protein packed, but for being the only vegan option available that day, unfortunately this is all I have to offer at this time.

Today when I called to ask about if the coconut noodle soup had any pork broth, garlic, or onion (things I have to avoid or I will get sick), I could hear a man on the other end of the call being very rude towards me and the girl asking about the ingredients on my behalf. Stuff like this is what steers people with intolerances away from eating out or asking more information about the food we might want to buy. I didn't want a recipe as he suggested, I simply wanted to know if it had anything that is a common allergies or intolerance. Even when I provided the specific things I have issues with, this man continued to be rude. He had an attitude and was saying, "it's coconut" with a rude tone, as if I was dumb for asking if it has any type of broth in the soup. Meanwhile, many restaurants can make soups with chicken broth and other broths and it still be "coconut" or another flavor so I found that really aggravating. Food is a five a star but the man with the attitude bumped it down to three. 4/20: In response to owner's response-- Let's remember that people can develop food intolerances and allergies as they get older. I was having consistent issues before because I did not know what foods gave me issues and pain. However, now I know and am trying to be careful with what I eat. Additionally, recipes can change over time, just like people and their health. I was just asking and you were very dismissive and rude to both me and your staff.
