The concept is simple: choose from an enormous selection of raw ingredients and cook them yourself either on the tabletop grill or in one of several flavorful broths. The selection was impressive. They had a huge variety of meats, seafood, vegetables, and mushrooms. One thing that immediately caught my attention was the hanger steak, one of my favorite cuts, and it was excellent on the grill. The pork belly was another standout, cooking up beautifully with great flavor. Seafood lovers will find plenty to enjoy as well, including scallops and even crab legs. As someone currently following a keto diet, there were plenty of carb-heavy options I skipped, but it didn't matter. The selection of proteins, vegetables, and mushrooms was so extensive that I had no trouble filling up while staying on plan. By the end of the meal, I felt completely satisfied and genuinely felt like I got my money's worth. Let me start off by saying we just moved here from Hawaii When we enter the restaurant, they greeted us with the menu. We absolutely had never been to this K-pop before they were very hard to hear initially, and she briefly showed us the front in the back of the menu so we quickly chose something because we didn't know how it operated.. we quickly chose barbecue and when we sat down, the waitress came over and explained that we just get up get our food and then we we quickly realized that there was way more options for the K-pop and there was the actual barbecue section. The student bother us as we have in Korean barbecue before however, when we looked at the slices of meat, they were completely fat. The port was all fat. The Bulgogi had lump of fat on it and the chicken were tenders, but they were all with the tendons intact. The kimchi was not completely fermented. It was actually horrible. The daikon was so thick. I don't understand where the seaweed salad even came from as it was overly salty.. The french fries were called to the touch. I brought my one year-old in with me and he didn't even touch them. The rice was probably the most upsetting part because it was damn near porridge too much water in the rice that my son couldn't even put it on his spoon.. I also wanted to note that our stove top turned off and we weren't even aware . the only thing that they did not mess up was Gaza and I want to make this very clear. The dessert menu is watermelon pineapple orange slices a piece of store-bought cake we ended up paying almost $80 with tip for 2.5 people and everything we tasted was disgusting as soon as I left the restaurant I threw up everywhere.. I took my waitress out of courtesy but we literally didn't get our water filled. I think this was a zero out of 10 experience if I could not rate it at all and put 0.0 stars it would get that before leaving I told my waitress how disgusting everything was and she actually agreed. She said she only ate there one time to say she did and she wouldn't eat there either. I'm not sure if people are just extremely unexperienced with how Korean food should taste as we have that culture immersed in Hawaii as well as my daughter coming directly from Korea, but this experience could not have been any worse. read more

Lunch offers a variety of options to choose from with vegetables, meat, poultry and some seafood with an appetizer bar and dinner has a much larger variety of meat, seafood and poultry. Some of the food is marinated in different sauces and others are left plain. If you are looking for more Dinner has definitely has the best variety. Weekend prices are the Dinner prices. If you don't know it's buffet style go choose your food and you can go back and do this on repeat trying everything to see what you may like best. You cook it at your table which many find it to be a fun experience in itself. There are different sauces for your food and you may laugh at this but the local gym goers make use of K-Pot for getting some good protein in lol. If you know you know. I've had hot pot before, so the concept wasn't new, but this was my first time at K-Pot. The server was super nice and explained how the buffet worked. The place was bigger than I expected, really clean, and modern, with pop music playing. Some K-pop, some English songs. The buffet was really clean, with separate tongs for each section. There was a ton of sliced meats, sides, soybean products, veggies, and noodles for the hot pot. They also had a small fried section with dumplings, egg rolls, wings, and fries. Egg rolls and dumplings were good. White and fried rice were in rice pots, and there was a big variety of sauces. For the hot pot, they had lamb, beef, pork, and chicken options. The lamb, brisket, and ribeye were especially good. There was also a great selection of leafy veggies like bok choy, watercress, napa cabbage, and spinach, plus lots of other toppings. They told us at the start that there's a two-hour time limit, which felt like plenty to cook and enjoy everything. MAJOR FOOD POISONING. I have never left a review on any business in my entire life. The service was amazing, the experience was nice. However, for the next 2-3 days I was vomiting like crazy, I developed dark circles around my eyes, I developed rashes and breakouts all over my face. I have never had such bad food poisoning in my entire life. This is not a review meant to bash anyone, but to warn anyone considering eating here. I hope it was a one time incident, however, based on other reviews it might not be. Whatever this place is doing about food safety, they need to improve. I have nothing else to complain about though. Worse place to eat here's why. You have to get your meal, shop for it, then cook it, and if you leave too much you are charged for it. If I wanted to cook it myself I'd stayed home. Our meal was two Hot Pot Dinners, That we had to cook and select ($67.98). For sure we will never return. Total Bill including Peach and Pepsi Drinks plus tax and tip was $ 97.24. Took my family here for my mom and sister's birthday dinner and had a great time! Even though it was peak dinner time and quite busy we only had to wait about 15 minutes before we were sat! They don't take reservations but if you have a party of over 15 they do. We did the combined kbbq and hot pot menu and were pleased with the meats available and soup bases. My family opted for the Korean seafood soup broth which was rich and perfectly spicy within reason. There was a large assortment of meats and our favorite was the marinated kalbi! The servers here are very attentive and constantly change the grills as well. I would recommend this place for a family dinner or a more casual date as it does get pretty rowdy in the place and can be a little difficult to hear! I had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch today at K-Pot. We picked the bbq only option. Having been to a number of other Korean bbq and hot pot restaurants before, I had a good idea of what to expect. The dining room was huge, but it was rather crowded when getting up to gather ingredients from the buffet area and between the booths. I'd generally prefer to have the meats served to the table over picking it from the buffet (it just looks nicer), but once cooked to your liking... it's all very tasty. There are no banchan other than kimchi which was crunchy and spicy. The selection of sauces to mix and match is huge. So if you like traditional sesame oil and salt, or something sweet, spicy or a mix... go crazy. (I'd strongly recommend ginger oil/scallions/cilantro/sesame oil/salt and pepper) . Our waitress, Emily was attentive, friendly and had a great attitude. With a 2hr time limit, there isn't a ton of time if you're planning to drink and talk... especially if you have a large group (6 people would share 1 grill). Hot pot everyone gets their own pot. Overall the food was good, service was good, and I will most definitely return. Ocala surely needed some restaurant diversity and K-pot fits the bill! read more

Have been to this place almost a dozen times since it opened. Have never been disappointed in terms of the quality of food and service. Today our server was Izzy (Isabel). She was attentive to our needs but not intrusive. She had a pleasant personality and was a real pleasure to deal with. Another server that stands out in mind is Hannah. She was also solicitous but not intrusive as well. She offered good suggestions. The last 2 times we asked for her but she was on maternity leave. A Sunday night out and decided to try Kpot Korean BBQ. We were seated quickly and Bri, our dinner guide, was very helpful in walking us thru both the hot pot and BBQ methods of dining. The process is well designed, the food seemed to be very fresh and plenty of it. Every time I went up to pick something else, there was never an empty dish. Loved all the different sauces and flavors to try - it made for a very exciting challenge. The rice was plentiful, the ramen was always full, just a great selection to choose from when crafting your dinner. However. There was definitely one glaring downside to my dinner. My dining cohorts seemed to fare well, but my chef - ME - was just horrible. I managed to burn pretty much everything I put on the grill.
