I had a craving for Korean food and decided to try this place in the Winter Garden area. For appetizer, I got the wings with the gochujang sauce and tteokboki. Then, I tried the bulgogi kimbap, pork belly kimbap, and shrimp crab kimbap. The wings were OK. Sauce was a nice combination of sweet and spicy. Tteokboki was right on point with the rice cakes cooked well with the right level of spicy. The bulgogi kimbap was good; pork belly kimbap was dry; and surprisingly, the shrimp crab kimbap was my favorite. There are two things that I think could be improved. First off, I think the food was pricey. For whatever reason, there was a sharp price markup for ordering to go. I'd suggest calling in your order. Second, there were six sides (banchans) that came with the order. Half of them were spoiled or moldy. I called back to let them know what happened. Came here a year ago for the first time, and came back again. The food and ambiance is still great. This time I ordered a hot stone bowl with marinated pork. I was happy to see all the veggies with it too. It's so tasty. I was trying not to eat much rice, but the purple rice that becomes crunchy on the bottom was so irresistible. My husband ordered the beef bulgogi with the bowl and loved it too. We ordered the crab corn Rangoon and this was slightly different than the traditional and it was so good with the corn. This place was quite busy this time. The two servers took care of everyone as best and smoothly as they can. At times it took a while so just keep that in mind if you are in a time crunch. Not good on many fronts. Food: ordered 4 dishes and only one was good, the other 3 tasteless. Condiments such as kimchi were mediocre at best. Nothing great or authentic about much of the menu Service: Young waitress that was fairly conversed on the menu but really needed mentoring and no manager was in site. For example, brought us a beer and the serving glass was chipped (noticed after the beer was poured). Instead of offering a new beer she said "this happens once in awhile and brought a new glass but ignored the obvious issue. On another front : They had 2 beer choices and she said one was dark but when it came it was just a regular lager in a green bottle(hence the dark). This is not her fault it's inattentive management. Atmosphere: Modern and sparse and pretty dirty. Tables were not properly cleaned and the menus were sticky. Price/Value: Average pricing for what was offered but not a great value. They also charge a 3% credit card fee (absolute nonsense). Will not be going back. read more

This is my first time at the Daniels Road location, but I've been to the BaBbi BaBbi Korean kitchen on Dr. Phillips many times. One of my favorite things to get here is the Katsudon, but I'm going to tell you right now everything is amazing. From the dumplings, to the crab Rangoon with corn, to the corn dogs, to the hot pots or bugolgi, my family has had many good meals here. One big thing I would know is that this was a kid pleaser first time out of the gate. I've got some picky eaters in my household, so this is no small feet. The atmosphere inside of the restaurant is contemporary and fun. The staff has never been anything other than amazing and kind with awesome service! As someone who is Korean and grew up eating authentic Korean food, I was hoping for something closer to tradition. Unfortunately, this felt much more like fusion cuisine than authentic Korean. The biggest issue for me was the overall experience. There appears to be only one server handling the entire front of house -- hosting, serving tables, and managing take-out orders. You order via QR code on your phone, which is fine in theory, but when the restaurant is busy, it can take quite a while before anyone even comes by for water or drinks. I've eaten here twice. The first time wasn't very busy, and while the food was still underwhelming, we at least received banchan while we waited. The second visit was busier, service was noticeably slower, and we didn't receive any banchan at all. The food itself is average at best and significantly overpriced for the quality and portion size. Both visits left me pretty disappointed. If you're looking for Korean-inspired fusion, you might find it interesting. But if you're expecting authentic Korean flavors and a traditional dining experience, this probably isn't it. read more

We were craving korean food and this came up in our yelp search. I thought it would be a full Korean menu but they mostly specialize in bibimbap. Service is between fast food and sit down style. You order by scanning the QR code and they bring your order out to you. It would be better if they had someone to come take your order. When you cash out they send the server over to cash you out on their ipad/tablet. Food came out pretty quickly and it was really good. Our server was super nice and friendly. If you want water you have to ask, they don't bring it out to you automatically. But it is bottled water and there is no addional charge. read more

This was my first time coming. I had no idea what to expect, but it blew me away. The shrimp and krab kimbap was incredibly fresh. I ate every last drop of the spicy beef gochujang pork belly! The little shareable sidekicks they provide you at the beginning are all delicious and refreshing. I loved the spicy garlic stems and the seaweed salad the most form the shareables! Welcome to the west side! What I got the jjapchae and tteokbokki. I got the japchae with tofu. The tofu was quite interesting, they fried it with like a mochi kind of skin.. stretchy. The noodles also was a little too overcooked for me and also on the oilier side. The rice cake was good. Decent servings that can be shared. These were both appetizers. The first time I came to Babbi Babbi, I had a great experience. Today was very different. I brought home a "pork belly" kimbap and it was so funky, I spit it out and thew out the whole thing. The color of the meat was a gray-brown, which didn't look like pork belly at all. The texture was more like a very chewy, stringy beef, and the taste and smell were definitely giving old meat. Luckily, I had also ordered a bibimbap for lunch tomorrow, which I ended up eating for dinner. I was afraid to eat the bulgogi, but it ended up being fine. It would definitely be rated low on the bibimbap-I've-eaten scale. I've had two drastically different experiences here, but after taking a bite of kimbap with clearly bad meat, I won't be returning. As an actual Korean, I'm going to loudly say "this is NOT Korean food." This is a bad interpretation that looks like Korean food, but tastes nothing like it. This is what happens when a food trend takes off and restraunteurs who are NOT Korean want to cash in on a trend. Service was disinterested, unengaged and the individual appeared more interested in a large group than our family. But, boy does it look cool inside. If you've never been to an actual Korean restaurant, they don't have "ambiance and vibes" where the prices are simply outrageous and outlandish for mediocre, remotely distant to source material cuisine. Actual Korean food is a flavor bomb that can only be experienced when it is prepared with a pursuit of incorporating the source material. This is a bad interpretation of Korean street and quick service sit down food all throughout Korea. The Disney style prices are so outlandish, it made me laugh out loud when the kimbap (that had zero flavor and about 50% cheap julienned carrot filler) which is $7 at most domestically ($1-$3 in Korea), was $17. This is my new favorite spot because everything we ordered was so good!! We ordered the bulgogi, bibimbap, Korean fried wings, and potato dog. The wings were nice and crunchy, and the sauce was delicious. Would definitely order again. Everything overall was very flavorful and came out quickly. Service was also quick and the staff are very nice. I absolutely love the interior of the restaurant - very warm, bright, and welcoming. I am AMAZED! Having come from Atlanta where Korean food is fierce competition and going to a Korean church, my standards for Korean food are high and little did I know that BaBbi BaBbi would definitely meet them in Winter Garden. There are no bad things here - every dish I've had is a strength and a classic Korean comfort food. Favorite go-tos are the jjampong seafood soup, seafood pancake, tuna/galbi/tonkatsu kimbap, chicken wings with fried tteok, and bibimbap rice bowls. The jjampong has such an excellent deep flavor, seafood pancake is thick AND crispy, and the chicken wings are double fried crispy as well. Interior is cute and modern. Love bringing my baby here to eat some food with some booth seating along the wall. The owners live close to this location and are here more often than the Dr. Phillips location so you know quality is high. We were in the area to see the new Deadpool and Wolverine movie so we thought we would head out a little further to an area we don't normally go. This restaurant is located in a strip mall that seems to be brand new. I don't remember any other businesses being open and most of the building locations were completely empty. All the staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. You can sit where you want. You scan a QR code for the menu and order through your phone. I recommend the one dollar up charge for the hot stone bowl with the bibimbap. it was so much food. We had two more full meals from our leftovers. I am doing a "happy dance" right now; I am so excited to finally have a Korean restaurant near me! My hubby found BaBbi BaBbi had opened a second location in Winter Garden and asked if I wanted to check it out My most absolute favorite food in the whole world is Korean, so of course I said "Let's go!" The restaurant sits in a new strip mall situated back from Highway 50, so don't get confused when it seems you're driving in a roundabout way to get there. You can tell it's brand new, as it is the first new business opened in the strip. The interior is fresh and vibrant; you have a view of several chefs in the kitchen and can see your meal being prepared for you. The wait staff is energetic and helpful, and make sure you are well taken care of. BaBbi BaBbi is a perfect fusion of traditional Korean food, like Bibimbap, Galbi, Kimbap, and fresh, new offerings such as Korean Dogs, Korean Fried Wings and Bomb Fries. They offer eleven different types of Kimbap; we had the Galbi Kimbap for an appetizer, which was amazing, and arrived with two tasty dipping sauces, a must in my book with Kimbap. We also ordered two Bibimbap bowls, as Bibimbap is my absolute favorite. My hubby loves Korean spicy pork, so he decided he was going to try the spicy pork bibimbap bowl. I have never had so many different choices to make; between hot or cold, which type of protein, rice, and toppings, there are hundreds of combinations. You can even add sweet corn and mozzarella if you want. The waitress promptly brought us our Bibimbap side dishes, which included pickled cucumber and thinly sliced daikon, and two types of kimchi. I'm not fond of spicy food, so I was happy to try the kimchi and discover it wasn't very spicy at all. When the bibimbap bowls arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at the quantity of meat and other toppings which was more than I've ever seen with a bibimbap, and I have had a lot of them all over the U.S. They were by far the best quality, quantity, and value I've ever had. We had to get to go boxes, because there was so much food we couldn't eat it all. BaBbi BaBbi is definitely our new go-to when we want tasty, fresh Korean food. Avoided a disaster with this undercooked chicken. It's frustrating when you raise an issue with a restaurant, and they insist it's not a problem! Look at this uncooked chicken on my plate, still practically flying! Annoying! They removed it after some persuasion, almost to the point of tasting it. I've gotten to the point where I'm Doordashing this place almost weekly and every single time I get a carefully packaged neatly handled with care and extremely delicious meal. Good food and service. We were having troubles trying to scan and order with 6 people. Young lady working came over with I pad and took out orders. If I had one complaint is the location. Hidden in the corner of a new vacant shopping center. Not visible from then street and no sign on either colonial or Danial's road. I'm sure they don't get much walk in traffic.
