My father passed away in January and I kept his college class ring, as education was crazy important to him. It was entirely too heavy to wear on a necklace, so I wanted to get it sized. He was a fairly large man and his ring was an 11 and I typically wear an 8. I'd seen ads for Kragh's Jewelry at almost every movie I'd sat through at the local movie theater, so thumbs up to their marketing team -- it works! But I also liked the idea of keeping it local, so they were my first and only stop. The first woman who assisted me didn't think it could be done as she was concerned about some of the decorations on the sides being impacted as well as an inscription on the inside by the sizing. Since I had just returned from the funeral and my emotions were all over the place, I accidentally burst out into tears. She gently handed me tissues and consulted with the jeweler to see what could be done. He looked at it closely and let me know that he'd find a way to make it work. The ring was done within a week and I received a text letting me know it was ready. Unfortunately, I wasn't ready to pick it up yet and they were so sweet about letting me pick the ring up on my own time. I picked it up today and it's perfect. Everything on the sides and the inscription were preserved perfectly. I'm so entirely happy with I didn't read reviews or shop around, so I have no idea if the price I paid for the sizing is astronomical. I just know my mind wasn't in the space to bargain shop and they customer service made it worth every penny I paid. read more

Best of Bastrop 2021?! Not sure how this business made that list. More like worst of Bastrop of all times. I am astounded at the ridiculous quote of $250 to resize my ring down a size and would've been 7 days to get it back. Another option was their express package however it was basically double the price getting close to $500 for this service. It's a simple band, white gold. This quote should have been no more than $95 at the top end and would've taken 20 minutes to resize. I called around and received other quotes from other businesses and they said I was getting duped. I called Kragh's to ask if they could renegotiate and they would not. I will NEVER use this business - they will dupe you!!! read more

My husband took my ring (purchased elsewhere) to have it resized. I have a karat of tiny pave set Diamonds in the band with 3 missing. We asked for a quote to have those fixed as well, which came in high. Husband left, we discussed, we decided to not have the ring resized at this time. He went back to pick up my ring and the main jeweler came out, looked at my ring and said, "oh, we don't want that here." Then he looked at my husband and said the same thing to him. He was offended by the tone that was used as well as the words said. We didn't understand the issue. We wanted to shop local, but we'll just go back to Cedar Park where we purchased the ring for help and for future jewelry purchases. read more

This is my last trip to Kragh's I walked in to get my Skagen watch checked/repaired I tried 3 batteries and the watch was ticking at 1 second back & forth, a usual sign of a dead battery. I walk in the door and have to pay $13 UPFRONT before he looks at it. He says "Yep, the battery is dead. Where did you get this battery?" I said Walmart . . . he says "Hmmppfff" I say I've tried 3 batteries with the same results. He say's "you have to use Energizer only" 8 minutes later he says the watch is no good "it can't be taken apart inside, and its jammed in there" I said "you wanna buy my brand new $13 dollar Energizer battery back?" He laughs and says "No, thats for the service" "but I'm having a 50% sale in 2 wks, so I'll give you this $450 watch for $225 today, minus your store credit of $13 I said "let me think on that" and left with my dead watch with a brand new battery and he kept my crappy new Walmart battery . . . I guess to sell as a service to the next mark . . . I've been there 4 times in the last few yrs only to have some sort of overcharged issue there each time, 3 strikes, shame on me read more

First of all I normally don't write reviews unless I think the business really deserves.I walked in with two little boys to get my diamond set in a halo band, I walked in around 4 p.m. they told me that they could do it and be done around 5. They were extremely helpful and at 5 o'clock when I went to go pick up my diamond he was even generous enough to give me a voucher for free strawberries at the Sugar Shack amazing service not to mention the smile they put on my face to see my beautiful ring completed!! I took my son's graduation ring to be repaired that I had purchased elsewhere. Wow, did the older "gentleman" (owner?) give me a spanking for purchasing at Wal-Mart. He was rude, condescending, and the rest of the staff treated me as if I was not there. What a way to make a first impression! I understand the "gentleman" might be battling mom and pop versus Wal-Mart but little did he know that had I been treated decently I would have shopped with him even if the price was more. I believe in supporting my local businesses but will NEVER use this place again. I was treated badly when I dropped off the ring and again when I picked it up. I am a long time customer and in the past have had no problems with this Jeweler. I have live stock to take care of but today when I came into town thought I would stop by and have the batteries replaced in my watch. When I came in the watch was working but it needed a battery for the analog part of the watch but told them to replace the digital battery in the watch as well while they had it open. Wanted 3 year batteries. The girl told me no problem but I had to wait for the Jeweler to return from lunch. No problem. When one of the jewelers returned in a rush, he started the work. After a few more minutes he brought out my watch saying that only part of the watch was working, the analog not the digital. I told him it was working when I brought it in and the counter girl confirmed it was working when I brought it in. But he had the audacity to tell me it wasn't working when I brought it in. Again the counter girl confirmed it was working when I brought it in. It became very silent and two other customers heard my comments. I left out of frustration as I had animals I had to get back to right away. Now as I said earlier, I am a very long time customer and have spent a lot of money at this store because of the professionalism and service they have offered. As of today I will no longer buy or have items repaired at this store due to the fact that I brought a watch in working and the Jeweler who replaced the batteries as much as called me a lier after telling him the watch was working when I brought it in. When his own employee confirmed that it was working when I brought it in he stood there like a dumb ass. I did not receive a apology or refund for my damaged watch. If I can't trust someone with my personal belongings and they break it and lie about it; they will never receive anymore of my business. They did thank me for serving in the armed forces, ( this is how they treat a veteran) but now I'm out a watch and they've lost a customer. read more
