The staff is extremely helpful, knowledgable and willing to go the extra mile to ensure your prescriptions are filled in a timely manner. In addition, the pharmacy is wonderful for kids, young adults and senior citizens who often visit their convenience store for sundries, toys and other items. I used to like this place. Folks were friendly, drug store was accessible. Prices were fair. Not so much anymore. Came in to purchase test kits for Covid and lo and behold they had taken the kits apart and are selling them for 20.00 each! You get your test kit in a pharmacy bag rather than the original packaging . When I asked I was told they bought them wholesale. What a racket, price gouging just like that at a time when they could do the community good, they chose the wrong path! For reference, Amazon is selling the same kit priced at 18.00 for two tests! My son's doctor submitted an RX in march we were notified they didn't have it in stock and that' I'd need to keep calling to see if they got it. I've been doing just that. Yesterday I called and was told they had it and could fill it. I said perfect please do he's out. The pharmacist said she's fill but there would be a price discrepancy due to it being non generic I told her that it was fine. We come to pick it up only to be told it was never filled and they no longer had it. I reiterate my conversation and they tried to tell me I was wrong, mind you I am not. I know what was said and what I was told. Then the pharmacist today goes on to tell me they can't accept the rx now since it's from march. And again I told him they've had it all this time but couldn't fill and I've been calling to get it filled. They were rude and not helpful and basically told me were SOL. This whole experience was so disappointing. They lack compassion and customer service and I'll definitely never return. Do better and be better. Kramers Pharmacy...Shame on you! This was our first experience with your pharmacy, and you took advantage of our family. We support small local business, and this is how we are repaid?! We purchased 5 tests for $114.00 with the hopes that we would be reimbursed from our insurance company. Plus, I had no idea how much they should cost. These tests were opened from their original package then sold to us one per Ziploc bag compete with copied instructions. The markup is what gets me. You took advantage that these tests were hard to come by and decided to make a profit from the community as we struggle in the economy and try our best to keep our family safe. We will NEVER cross your doors again. I would expect this from a thief online and not the local trusted pharmacy. Unprofessional. Not at all what a medical professional would expect or hope for their patients. The atmosphere is more akin to a 'mean girls' skit than to a pharmacy. Very disappointed in the lack of customer care. Judgment reigns supreme while compassion seems to have been forgotten. The management is contrary, condescending, confrontational and apathetic. I have heard numerous accounts of 'bad behavior' and 'group think' being the norm at this location and today I experienced it first hand. Based on the approach of the 'manager' and the clear lack of coaching or training of the employees, I am dubious with respect to privacy provisions. To this point, someone went in after I left who knew me and the Kramer's staff publicly referred to me with a derogatory term because I chose to decline their service based on the response I received. Whether a misunderstanding occurred or not, a professional & kind approach should always be paramount when addressing each other and in a professional environment, discretion should be a standard practice. Dr. phoned over Coumadin needed to keep my blood clotting, to avoid a stroke or heart attack, I live solo, could not get outta bed. I called them to be safe, "Are you bringing my Coumadin?" Price gouging on Covid home tests @KramersPharmacy in @CityAgouraHills . Charging $21.00 for one test; the same test on @amazon for $9.00!! The difference ... @amazon cannot deliver until 1/10/22, and @KramersPharmacy knows there are no home tests to be found anywhere . I wanted to love this place but after ripping people off charging $29 per Covid test (use to be $45 And there is articles online of them price gauging) when the exact same test is sold in 2 pack for $12 on Amazon, then yelling at me on the phone and being extremely unprofessional with my previous pharmacy hanging up on them etc when transferring meds. Do not take your child here for vaccinations. They will refuse to vaccinate if they hear your MINOR child say they don't want to be given a shot. Well, guess what -- NO child wants to be given a shot. Unfortunately for them, it's not their choice. If I bring my child in to be vaccinated, my expectation is that their opinion does not matter. I've been here twice this week. This is the first time that we used this pharmacy and I fell in love. We usually go to cvs but my son was really sick and our dr office reminded me that there is a pharmacy downstairs. My son's prescription was ready in minutes both times. I just have to commend my local pharmacy Kramer's. I have been going there for well over 10 years because the service is top notch. Today they went even above that. I am in between healthcare insurance coverage and I had to pay cash for my medications. One medication is ridiculously expensive. (Well over a thousand). Kramer's cash price was way more than I expected (by several hundreds) and when I price checked other pharmacies in the area who used different distributors their prices were lower. Kramer's price matched the lowest of the competitors right there on the spot so I could get my needed medication today. This pharmacy really cares about its customers. Unprofessional treatment by Mr. Kramer: My doctor wanted me to find my perscription (generic) manufacturered by a specific brand. The doctor recommended this pharmacy, stating that they have good customer service and could find what I needed. The doctor himself called 10 mintues before I arrived at Kramer's to verify they could get me the generic brand I needed and that I could indeed fill my prescription there. The Dr told them I was on my way. I went to drop off my perscription to Kramer's pharmacy.  As I waited the owner argued loudly with the pharmacist about my perscription, stating that I'm not a regular customer and they will not make any money off me.  The pharmacist reminded Mr. Kramer that my doctor had just called about this. The pharmacist suggested telling the Dr he couldn't get the manufacturer he wanted after all and Mr. Kramer agreed that would be the plan, so he wouldn't lose any money off filling the perscription for me (dispite the pervious conservation with my dr). Since I could hear the conversation, I spoke up and said I could hear them, as well as the rest of the pharmacy.  Mr. Kramer came over to say that insurance pays him nothing l for generic and he'll lose money off me. I realize why this is his porogiative, but this was previously discussed. I told him that I could tell the doctor the issue AND he'd also know the reason I overheard why I would not get my perscription. I told him I'm sure my dr remembered calling and sending me specifically to his pharmacy. I needed to tell My Dr that Kramer's is not the professionals he believed then to be. Mr. Krammer then decided to fill it then after all. I tried to ask why he went back on it and he denied saying he was never going to fill it. That's a lie, but there's no point in trying to argue it. I told him I'd still need to let my Dr know. He was angry at my decision and spoke even louder saying he never said my name, I souldn't be embarrassed. I'm not sure what HIPPA states, but this was not discreet at all. I'm not even sure anyone just than the pharmacist and dr should be discussing medication at all.    Had he spoken quietly in the first place I'd never had known and would have to go to another pharmacy.    Rude/unprofessional at best, violation of privacy at worst. I post positive reviews in general, this was a very bad experience. It's pretty clear how Mr. Kramer feels about money and his customers. His only excuse to me was how insurance won't pay him anything... I understand that. However, it was discussed beforehand. That's a great business minded rebuttle but the customers usually want more than that at a small pharmacy. 0 stars if possible. UPDATE: Mr. Kramer left me a message on my cell stating and I QUOTE, "Upon reviewing your review of the pharmacy I cannot fill your prescription. I do not feel comfortable mailing it, because it is a mail order, Kramer's will not fill it." I called back to ask what the mailing issue was, Mr. Kramer did not answer me but instead started talking about this review. I told him that he made it obvious that he decided to go back on his word because of my review. I asked again what the mailing issue was, as he stated it on my voice mail. He said he'd discuss that with my dr. I told Mr. Kramer that *I* a.m the customer, not the dr. I have never given Mr. Kramer, a non medical professional, permission to speak with my dr concerning medication. Mr. Kraner esus's he isn't discussing my medication...I'm not sure what he means by that, as we clearly are discussing it. I also told him of it's an issue with my medication I'd feel more comfortable talking to the pharmacist. I told him my review was very honest and if he wanted to apologize for his unprofessional behavior I'd consider updating my review. I told him it's crystal clear why he's not going to fill it and it had nothing to do with a mailing issue and I'd be happy to leave an update on his decision. He said he tried apologizing to me already. He was worried the medication would get too hot in the mail. He agreed to get mr. the perscription of I was ok with it maybe getting too hot.... I'll take my chances. Thanks for your concern, Mr. Kramer. I'm sure it came from the heart. Bottom line, he knows he screwed up. He'd never call to refuse my prescription unless my review hit a soft spot. Heroin the other reviews on his behavior I don't see him improving. UPDATE 2/2019. Inccorrect medication sent, medication "lost in the mail," and finally a hand written note that my insurance will only fill 2 more prescriptions. I spoke south my insurance, they never gave him a number of prescriptions and all they need is a Doctor's note. It's obvious Krammer isn't keeping his word, therefore this review it back up. We've been going to Kramer's Pharmacy for over 20 years. The reason being that Andy (owner) has always given personalized service. Andy always made it clear that he valued his loyal customers. Fast forward to this week, my wife had a heart attack and I needed to be with her but needed her medication, I couldn't get to the pharmacy. Andy made sure that the medications were delivered without delay. And, he has CALLED twice to see how we were doing, as well as, ask if we needed anything. Every time I call the pharmacy the staff inquires about my wife. Trust me, I've worked in the corporate and retail sector and Kramer's Pharmacy goes above and beyond. They have become members of our extended family. We're fortunate to have them in our community. read more

We have been loyal patrons for the past 20 years, until today. Our experience this week with Kramers was absolutely horrid. Going through a serious illness and after a 6 hour surgery, Kramers was holding a very important prescription. It was late in the day with 15 minutes to closing. We asked the manager if she could wait an extra 5 minutes after closing as we were on our way. The manager flatly refused and repeatedly stated "we close at 6". With complete disregard for our medical condition, not to mention our past patronage, she demonstrated her true inhumanity and chose to argue with me for 10 minutes on the phone instead of showing a little decency and compassion to stay an extra 5 minutes after closing. It's amazing to me that a pharmacy that is supposed to be in the business of helping people would act in this absurd manner, not to mention condoning the behavior of this manager.
