This is the best pharmacy I have ever been to. They are all so nice and the staff is always in contact with me about my medications and never worry about receiving them on time. They go the extra mile for all of us in making sure by contacting our doctors and even will go to the doctors office if in the building to make sure they have the right medication on time. They deliver as well. Great pricing if you don't carry insurance and help you get your medication at a great price. Been going for years and never disappointed. As countless other reviewers here have said: TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION & CUSTOMER SERVICE! Seriously, look at all the negative reviews that are posted here, there are a ton for a reason... The pharmacists are decent but the staff is essentially incompetent. They also employ remote staff (off-site) to save money but the practical effect is just worse customer service for you. They never return phone calls, even after explicitly saying a tech/pharmacist will call you back. They've "lost" my prescriptions numerous times, leading to my doctor having to call in again and trapping me on the phone for even longer during workdays. They've missed multiple delivery dates for medications. The list honestly goes on and on.... I have only used this pharmacy as needed because my doctor is in the same building as them but I'm done at this point. Terrible customer service. Very impersonal feel. Employees that seem to hate their jobs. What more could you ask for from your local pharmacy?! read more

Regency Medical Pharmacy has been providing my son with his antiseizure meds that must be taken every day, for quite some time now. Sometimes, these meds are not easy to come by. Either due to supply, or mostly...due to getting hold of the doctor who is prescribing them for refills! But, no matter what the reason is...Ron, the Techniciann/Inventory Specialist, ALWAYS goes above and beyond in making sure it happens before we run out! These guys are the best. From 400 miles away, via USPS, they get me my meds more reliably than any pharmacy I've found in the SF Bay Area. Why only four stars? Because they force me to fill out a form for each of my meds to be part of their database -- this despite the availability to them of my up-to-the-minute Excel spreadsheet, which I've shared with them in the past. This redundant process means for every prescription change or refill, my having to do everything twice. That's hours every month. With most pharmacies this would be a deal breaker, but experience has taught me these guys are worth the hassle. They go the extra mile when you really need them. A final note: I live in a gated condo community in Oakland, CA. Despite our 24-hour security, porch pirates follow the couriers and steal whatever they leave in the lobby. The couriers are aware they are supposed to deliver to the apartment door, but as often as not, they continue to drop packages in the lobby. Even FedEx, my one-time go-to courier, has let me down one time too many. It's ironic, but the most secure form of delivery I've found in this lawless city is regular mail. The USPS deliverer deposits my bag of refills into my locked metal USPS mailbox. I recommend you NOT complicate things with signature required or other details, but I do not know your situation so can only apeak for myself. USPS regular mail works best for me. read more

After a frustrating few months of trying to get CVS to keep a medication in stock, my doctor referred me to Regency Pharmacy. They are amazing! The staff is professional and wonderfully nice and helpful. I don't live anywhere near Newbury Park and medications are delivered to my doorstep usually the next day, sometimes same day. After my compounding pharmacy closed, I had to scramble for a replacement. I found Regency. I was hoping that it would be an adequate replacement, but it has been the opposite. It takes weeks and multiple phone follow ups to get a prescription filled, and this doesn't include the mulitple people I've spoken with. After multiple attempts to get a prescription refill and several follow up calls, not to mention a hung up, I've decided Regency doesn't deserve my business. read more

A prescription I have been taking for years became expensive and unavailable. With no solution in sight. My MD suggested I go to Regency Medical Pharmacy, in Newbury Park. Ron, their Technician/Inventory Specialist filled my perscription when no one else could. He found what I needed when everyone else failed. This massive health issue was solved by Ron with graciousness and speed. This man solved a very big issue for me. What a great pharmacy! My doctor prescribed a difficult to obtain drug for me. I spoke to Ron ( a Technician/Inventory Specialist) at Regency and he told me they had it backordered and would call me when it came in. I took this with a grain of salt as people sometimes aren't reliable...but Ron came through! He texted me that it was in and I picked it up. Just great service and everyone there seems to be on the same great customer service level. Give them a try. read more

Honestly this was one of the best pharmacies in the area that I've been going to for over 5 years but I highly suggest you avoid them if you want to spare you and your doctors a major headache and unnecessary problems. A few months ago apparently they started outsourcing their patient phone center as this is when the problems started to first arise. As a result it has been a nightmare since and caused huge issues with several of my doctors. On more then one occasion, my doctors have sent over refills or new prescriptions electronically which is the modern digital method both the pharmacy and doctors use for faster processing However on both occasions regency pharmacy has claimed "to never have had received the prescription or refills" despite the doctors providing screenshots and proof it was sent over. As a result, the prescriptions I'm on have been delayed unnecessarily which causes a problem as they need to be taken daily and even more concerning are the DEA controlled and scheduled prescriptions they've miraculously lost that have resulted in my doctors being reluctant to continue to prescribe them. In 40 years of using pharmacies, i have never seen such unprofessionalism. If it was a one time isolated incident I understand but "losing" your patients prescriptions shows immense ineptitude and this is a sentiment that my doctors strongly share as well regarding this pharmacy. Suffice to say I am in the process of switching over my pharmacy. It's unfortunate that they decided to outsource the most important part of their business to some unknown call center just to save some money as opposed to expanding their in house staff. read more
