One of the artists shared this history and much more with us. There are 3 floors to explore and during our visit, some of the artists were in their studios. There was a mixture of paintings, sculptures, pottery and mixed media. A great place to browse art.

I love this type of furniture, so I enjoy looking around, but the prices are high. I found a couple of Mission Oak footstools I would have loved to have bought, but they were in the $400-500 range - for a simple footstool. Granted, not easy to find and in good shape, but that was more than I was willing to pay. Shop is located in St. Joseph, which is traditionally a wealthy area (Whirlpool Corporation is here, so be sure to notice the who-needs-a-house-that-big mansions along the lakeshore if you drive by). St. Joseph is a tourist and summer home area for people with money. The furniture here is desirable, beautiful, and hard to find. Those factors create high prices that others can and will pay. As for we middle class types, we continue to rummage out of the way antiques shops in hopes of a lucky find.

Emily did an amazing job.  My best friend and I loved our tattoos so much we are already looking into our next tattoo with her.  She told us both all about keeping them nice looking, which we knew but I find it helpful to always be reminded after every tattoo.  Since mine is behind the ear she had a few instructions about keeping it away from shampoo and keeping my hair up to help it stay clean and get air. I had the house made seltzer with blueberry lemonade flavor. They are known for their pizzas, so we each ordered a slice. My husband had an Italian Sausage and I have Goat Cheese with Herbs. The slices were large, but the pizza was disappointing. It was a thin, crispy crust with seasoning. Since the pizza was already made and being warmed in a warmer the flavors were not as robust and the cheese was not melted or gooey. If the pizza was fresh from the oven I am sure it would have been better. There is a large indoor space and outdoor beer garden. There is a stage for live events.

Every time you walk into the store you are heavily monitored, which makes most people uncomfortable whilst trying to shop. Definitely avoid this place, as their inventory is the same as many of the other shops downtown!

This is a super charming new theater in Benton Harbor. The area doesn't have a ton of theater…read moreoptions so it a was great to have the opportunity to check it out. The first thing you notice is that they use the space very well. You walk into it and there's a refreshment area with a few options at very reasonable prices. After that there's some merchandise for sale as well. Once you go into the theater there's lots of available seating around. It's a black box style theater, with the audience pretty close to the stage, which is nice. The performance itself was top notch! Clybourne Park was funny & poignant, with a minimalist stage. The acting really brought all the characters to life. The theater seems to be doing a lot of great things for the community. They have a camp for kids in the summer and Paul, the stage director seems to have a promising vision for the future of the space. Can't wait to see what's in store for this theater in the years to come.
