**INITIAL REVIEW** To be frank, finding this amazing coffee shop was not on my to-do list when my aunt and I partook in the Henry's Hidden Trains trail/scavenger hunt made in cooperation with the Robert W. Willaford Railroad Museum which is also located in the heart of Historic Downtown Plant City. The trail/scavenger hunt took us to many popular locations/businesses in the area, but one particularly stood out the most for me, especially since I was hungry and thirsty after walking around and about in the sun of the area. One of the hidden trains is located near one of the particular entrances of an amazing coffee shop that has a mixture of delightfully tacky decor mixed with a steampunk aesthetic, Krazy Kup. And through this "find," I "found" an amazing coffee shop that I am so happy I took the time to step into... or should I say my growling stomach made me step into it. Though an address is provided, Krazy Kup is located just south of the eastern half of McCall Park. If it further helps out, the aforementioned train museum is northeast of this coffee shop. Starting with the parking situation, the north parking directly in front of Krazy Kup is a one-way in, one-way out. Take that into account if you want to park right in front of the coffee shop. There is public parking, especially around the park, that is not too far of a walk to Krazy Kup, too. There is also an entrance in its back (south) with a bust of King Louie and more parking near there, too. Pertaining to the outdoors, there is also a unique "alleyway" right next to the restaurant that serves as their outdoor seating area, or at least a larger area of outdoor seating compared to the two small tables in front of the coffee shop. Inside, the ambiance has a light tackiness that is quite adorable mixed in with some mild steampunk elements. The numerous Christmas lights definitely adds to the ambiance. My aunt and I did not stay too long to really absorb the ambiance, but it was surely beautiful. Actually, we absorbed the air conditioning more as walking in the sun for Henry's Hidden Trains can be taxing. I didn't get much pertaining to food and drink, but what I did get: delicious! First and foremost, my drink order was a seasonal drink, the apple spiced latte. It helped wash down the amazingly large biscotti. I had the chocolate-dipped hazelnut biscotti with my drink. Now I have to return (one day) to enjoy more on Krazy Kup's menu. Definitely want to try some of their wraps and "Krazy" sandwiches, especially the breakfast sandwich. For my initial review, I am going to give Krazy Kup four-out-of-five stars for their review. The visit was quite short, but it made such an impact with the short time I spent there with the little I bought. But with what little they gave and provided, it was mighty enough to earn its way. I will definitely recommend to others to at least come in and enjoy the simple pleasures, coffee and baked goods with the ambiance. And when I return, if Krazy Kup is consistently good, just like last time, I will give them their fifth star for consistency. read more

On our way to watch our nephew play football we stopped in to fuel up. I did plenty of research to find the right place to stop, Krazy Kup did not disappoint. It is definitely a popular spot in downtown Plant City. Parking is very sparse in the area. The building is very cool with lots of unique art and plenty of tables. There was only one gender neutral bathroom which was occupied the entire time we were in the building. Our pastries were absolutely delicious, I had the strawberry cream cheese croissant which tasted like fresh homemade preserves, my husband loved the hazelnut croissant. Krazy Kup was a Krazy Kool place! This has to be one of the best coffee shops Plant City has to offer, and with its prime location in downtown it's a great spot to hang out, or grab a cuppa to walk around and shop/ tour the area. There is parking as well as an entrance in both the backside of the building and front. There is lots of signage so it's not too confusing. And even though it's downtown, the parking lots are both separated from the main roads so it makes for a much lower stress parking situation. Being called "krazy" is definitely a good description for this place. It's super eclectic and rustic in a fun way and I recommend walking around inside if you can. They also have a really neat courtyard on the side of the building that has a walk up ordering window which was closed when I went but could be nice if you wanted to stay outside. I tried some sort of berry-flavored cold brew and was really impressed. It can be hard to work with fruity flavors but they had just the right amount where it was smooth and creamy still and it was the perfect drink to amp me up a little for the road trip I was headed on. Also grabbed a buffalo chicken wrap and really enjoyed that! It was simple but well made so they do have some cold meals & snacks that are a good option if you need sustenance along with a coffee or tea. It wasn't busy when I stopped in here during the week but I'd imagine it gets busy on the weekends. There's lots of seating though and I think it'd be a good place to set up shop to do work or homework or just hang out. read more

This place is very cool inside! Loved the vibe of it. Service was friendly and quick. We tried the cold brew (homemade and brewed over 40 hours) and the iced chai latte. We both really liked our drinks, but my partner said the cold brew may have been a bit strong for the size he got - so keep in mind it's strong. He usually drinks it with a shot of espresso, so good thing he didn't do that! Would recommend and return. read more

Incredible. The biscuit was insane. I mean look at the size compared to my hand. And it was only 6 dollars. I wish there was more egg only because the biscuit was so big but the biscuit was the best one I have ever had. There is ample parking and seating. The service was very very friendly. The place was clean. I wish the menu was clearer on what syrups they had, they had 3 different sheets of paper in different spots to read so it was confusing. However the coffee did taste great. They had no gluten free desserts which was disappointing. However 10/10 all because of the biscuit. read more

This is a Krazy coffee place filled with so much eye candy decor. Their operations times are just as krazy, opening not at 7:30 or 7:35 but 7:33!!! I think one of the coolest things here, and there is a lot! But one of the coolest things is the juke box in the back. They have big seating areas in the place. The place had an eclectic yet homey vibe to it! My mom loved it and felt good enjoying her croissant in there. If you're looking for a coffee shop to get work done, I would consider sitting outside or at the window for more lighting. It was a little dark in there, but We enjoyed the funky vibe in there! I definitely appreciated the prices here. Getting a latte and sandwich at some other places will cost you at least $15. Not the case here! The biscuit was only $4 and look how massive it was!! Not bad for a quick bite. My mom said the croissant was good. My coffee, however, was okay. I'm a plain Jane coffee drinker: latte with a little sugar and cinnamon. So for me the flavor of the coffee wasn't as strong as I would've preferred. If you are getting a coffee, get one of their specials or different flavored syrups. I wanted to love this place as much as the reviews I read. I had a "meh" barely good experience on a very hot day at 1bout 12:30. The place is very dark, decorated in black with red brick and with dim lights. It seemed more gothic than "warm" or welcoming. Two behind the counter and a bit of a wait. Smiles must cost extra. But I ordered and they worked quickly. They prep food in the morning for their cold case and by 12:30 you're at the mercy of what's left. I chose about a cup of chicken salad on lettuce over the last bbq chicken wrap, at half the price. Also got 2 sweet items, cran-orange biscotti and Tyler's PB cookie. My large iced latte with almond milk was made with the almond milk I hate (don't know the brand, just know when I get it I can't believe I like almond milk cuz this one is NOT it) so there was no way I can rate the Ka'u Coffee they serve. The chicken salad was only okay--little seasoning, price was great at $4. I ate half. The PB cookie was huge and too sweet for me but very peanut butter, in a 4-H entry sort of way. Biscotti was also huge and flavorul but extremely hard for biting into. Offerings were all over the place-biscotti on one counter, grab n go in another area, sandwich sign outside wasn't anywhere inside, their coffee brand isn't touted anywhere the menu sign inside is only drinks so it made ordering for a newcomer confusing. All in all the experience didn't have me listing it for a return visit- for a place open til evening the pickin's were slim by 12:30, the latte was not good and the seating was all taken by people waiting to hear their names, grab & go. A/C worked great but the dark room creeped me out. I do wish them well. read more

Here in Plant City, FL there's this little authentic coffee shop that is quite interesting because it blends the history of Plant City with a little modern coffee cafe twist to it. It's a great coffee and brew shop. It's a two story place where you can come in and relax and enjoy some good coffee, ice coffee, tea drinks or go outside and enjoy some outdoor scenery in the downtown area of Plant City. It has a nice friendly atmosphere and I see people gather there just to socialize and talk. Staff is friendly and attentive. What I like about the place is that it has a lot memorabilia and antiques which makes the place different from other coffee shops. I go into Plant City every other Saturday morning to pick up my produce co-op and often run errands while I'm there. Before heading home a few weeks ago, I decided to drive through downtown and finally try a locally-owned coffee shop called Krazy Kup. It's located in the parking lot across the street from Snellgroves (a fabulous, locally owned diner!). It has an adorable alleyway that is very reminiscent of Harry Potter. There were several wrought iron tables and chairs lining the alleyway with a takeout window for minimal contact ordering and for receiving your beverage & breakfast treats. A very pleasant woman, who I imagine was the owner, took my order. After browsing the drink menu, I decided on the London fog which is a milky Earl Grey beverage and a muffin. They have a few signs advising of their homemade pastry and muffins, how could I not try something?! She rattled off which muffins they had for today and I decided on the cappuccino chip, which was still warm when I got it, tender and absolutely perfect! I am kicking myself for waiting so long to finally try Krazy Kup and I will definitely be back! read more

Perfect coffee shop right in the heart of Historic Plant City. We were there at an off time, and walked right up to the counter for our mid-morning coffee fix. My cold almond milk mocha latte was perfectly made, with just enough espresso and chocolate. No coffee shop visit is complete without a pastry, and I absolutely loved the fresh made coffee cake. We found this coffee shop that definitely doesn't seem like belongs with Plant City. It seems much more it would be catering to clientele in a different city. The women who took our order had a whole slew of tattoos and a septum piercing. They had vintage black and white Looney Tunes cartoons playing on all of the TVs. There is a bunch of chachkies on the wall, that make it look like if a TGI Fridays opened up at a coffee shop. I had a chai latte and my wife had the triple chocolate. Both were fantastic drinks! My daughter and I discovered this quaint little coffee shop last spring while taking a Saturday afternoon stroll through downtown Plant City, and have returned several times since. I can't say enough about this place. Although their coffee is amazing (and you can order it in a ceramic cup), the atmosphere is the real draw. It's laidback and inviting, with whimsical decor and different types of seating, from easy chairs or sofas to counter seating or traditional cafe tables and chairs, and even a nice sidewalk cafe area. The workers are always very friendly and chatty, and they always have an assortment of baked goods and biscottis, including gluten friendly options. Some other things I like about this place is that they host frequent events in their upstairs room - and they are a Christian business, so these events are family friendly. It was a nice change to be able to attend an open mic night outside of a bar, and with the knowledge that it's an event and space appropriate to bring children to. I am a total sucker for local coffee shops and Krazy Kup did not disappoint. Truth be told, I am not a huge coffee fan. Coffee for me is basically a dessert based upon the amount of cream, sugar, flavors and whipped cream that goes into my "coffee". So, I always defer to my coffee loving husband for how the coffee is....which he said was really good (as was my dessert in a cup). In addition to the different coffees there were some really good looking baked goods including biscottis which I regret not ordering. What I loved about Krazy Kup was the atmosphere. It was cute and quirky. There were places for larger groups to sit (we had 8) and smaller corner areas for smaller groups and couples. There was also an area to sit outside. If I am ever back in Plant City I will definitely go back to Krazy Kup (and order a biscotti!). read more

In town for a wedding and needed a pick me up. Easy to find parking on the street. My husband said his mocha was one of the best he's had and my cold brew was really good. The Koolers are AMAZING! I love the pineapple flavor. The triple chocolate chip cookie is a MUST. The biscotti are HUGE and worth the price. We also got the iced Cinnamon Rush latte and it's very good as well. Parking is a little tricky but there is a public lot to the east of the building if regular parking is full, like it was today. There is a great upstairs loft area for live performances and plenty of comfy seating. Gender neutral restrooms as well. Definitely a great local place to get coffee! read more
