LOVED the building! Reminds me of a castle in a fantasy book. The vibe of this spot is very laidback with friendly and quick service! Went on a Saturday afternoon and the place wasn't busy at all but I think if you plan for the evening is when more people are more likely to be there. Highly recommend! Shakshouka was fantastic!

I have driven by so many time, looking at the outside takes you back to the hills of Scotland. Inside it's even better, very open and inviting. A great beer selection, only wish it was printed out so wouldn't have to walk up to the cooler. Now for the food, of course you all know me, I'm a burger guy, so a burger it was. Very impressive burger was very tasty and cooked like what they do in those fancy places. Fries OMG always impressed when they are hand cut. Great place for a date night, however no booths. LOL

The outside is definitely more appealing than the interior. It's a family friendly restaurant with Sunday brunch option. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and fresh. I was surprise that the chicken used for the chicken and waffle dish was a breaded chicken cutlet. But it was delicious. The burrito brunch option was more of a crunchy quesadilla exterior, with eggs and bacon. It was also finger licking good. We are looking forward to going back and trying out other options.

The breakfast options here are great and well priced for the amount of food you get. Their ingredients are fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is laid back with music in the background - and the service is always great!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place for Sunday brunch! The unlimited mimosa bar with them bringing bottles to your table is AMAZING.... Yet dangerous Small but cute inside with all the different rooms and decor! The breakfast burrito was fresh and delish! Can't wait for the weather to get better so we can sit outside! Service was friendly and prompt! Just wish the selfie lighting was better! Haha jk! We will be back!

Service and ambiance are great. The building is unique and there are a couple of TVs which is nice. Menu is decent but the food is lacking for the pricing. The rice bowl is pretty much just rice, edamame, and pickled onion. Nothing crazy for something over $15. Definitely better value and taste of food at Fresh Kitchen. However, they have a wider variety of food and better ambiance for hanging out here. I would like to check out their events like "trivia night" because it is such a cool setting.

First time visitor but will definitely become a repeat offender. I had the breakfast platter and everything was ready for prime time. My brunch dates had the shrimp and grits and a smash burger. Their shrimp and grits was a different twist as the shrimp are grilled and served separately. Since I don't do mimosas I had a Hefeweizen which was served in an ice cold glass just like in Germany. This a nice little restaurant which is open until midnight so I lived closer I would definitely come for a late night snack. So a staycation may need to be put on the calendar. The staff are very attentive and laid bag so the vibe is worth it. Grab a meal sit back and enjoy your company or people watch the choice to s yours.

Trivia every Monday night, great neighborhood restaurant, always friendly service. This is a trendy, small town gastropub. Do yourself a favor and always ask your server what the "Ultimate Fries" are! They change the fries every week and load them with incredible blends of flavor. Some of the best chicken wings are right here at C&P! Awesome happy hour spot and weekly events/specials.

This is the burger of the week the garlic fries and I can't remember what that white sauce was but it was good for the fries

Service was excellent food was excellent it is a little loud but it's a beautiful place inside. We specifically went there for Polk County burger week. 7oz short rib, brisket, and Chuck burger - sweet, smoky, tangy tomato bacon jam, roasted garlic aioli, arugula, muenster cheese, and crispy shallots. Honestly it was one of the best burgers I think I've ever had, it was excellent. We also had the brussel sprouts and I'm telling you that was some of the best brussel sprouts I've ever had also. Their garlic fries were also really good too. We got a blondie it was really good also I would have liked a little more ice cream. The Blondie ice cream ratio wasn't quite there but it still was really good. We had to take home half of our meal because it was just too much.

A friend and I stopped in when it was newly opened for lunch (again). All the convenient parking spaces were occupied by a delivery truck parking across all the spaces. They have a dusty stone "alt" lot behind them, across the alley, not stable for older walkers. We chose to park at Walgreens, not a short jaunt. The place was def "bar vibe", dark high top seating with little alcoves in the back. For first time guests we weren't greeted, told about the place, etc which might have helped with the experience. They recently "absorbed" their other restaurant "Good Thymes" but those items are not yet on the menu as we'd been led to believe. They serve "pub" food to go with their craft beers. We ordered chicken sandwiches & tenders with fries. Felt the crust on the chicken was a tad thick and slightly burned but the inside was moist and tasty. We had the apple pie cobbler which came out hot but the crumble crust was burnt. Didn't stop us from eating it tho! The place has potential for non-drinkers looking for lunch, with interesting items on the menu. We weren't impressed with "execution" or parking this day, but will try again some time.

COB & PEN IS A GATHERING PLACE FOR ALL TO ENJOY, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATE THEMSELVES IN THE ARTS OF CRAFT BEER, BOUTIQUE WINE, FINE FOOD, AND KEEPING GOOD COMPANY. LOCATED IN THE HISTORIC DIXIELAND NEIGHBORHOOD OF LAKELAND, JUST BLOCKS AWAY FROM DOWNTOWN LAKELAND. Had the pleasure of visiting Cobb and Pen in Lakeland and this place is such nice area to hang out with friends and family or perhaps on a date night. Last time I was here they were remodeling, so having to see how they remodeled the place makes the restaurant have a nice look to it. The Staff and Management were great host and made me feel welcomed. I tried out thier latest summer specials and this is what I had: 1) Fried Green Tomato Caprese ( Recommend with Sauce) 2) Creamy Corn Risotto- ( perhaps one the best comfort food you'll have- recommend with Shrimp) 3) Blackened Beer Batttered Fish Tacos - (good tasting tacos, I would just say a littler over the tarter sauce, but other than that, nice plate) 4) Passionfruit Bourbon Smash Drink ( refreshing drink- I would just say, I wish it had a bit more taste of the Passionfruit, but other than that it's good drink ) 5) Banana Pudding Patta Cotta ( Nice desert to finish it off)

Cool and relaxing ambience. We dropped by for a quick snack and were not impressed with the freshness of our charcuterie board 4/10.

It took several visits to Oksumi for me to realize just how special a place it is. Oh, make no…read moremistake, I knew that I liked it from the first visit, but it took a bit of reflection, and a bit of exploring the menu, for Oksumi's charm to really unfold, before me. Read other reviews, and the phrase "nothing fancy" keeps appearing. Another reviewer calls it "simple" and "to the point." This, right here, is the soul of Oksumi. It isn't a restaurant using the idea of ramen as a canvas for the ego of a chef looking to reinvent the dish. It is a ramenya, and its menu is a love letter to ramen. It does not need to uplift or reinvent ramen, because ramen is already perfect, as it is. One does not taste ego in Oksumi's dishes; one tastes respect, care, craftsmanship, and balance. Perhaps most importantly, one tastes every ingredient, and one tastes the role that every ingredient plays in the whole of one's ramen experience. As I explored the menu, as I tasted each element in my bowl, I found myself, again and again, noticing the quality of each element I tasted. The karaage is crisp, juicy inside, and its notes of melting fat aren't lost, even against a spicier base. The tonkotsu is silky upon the tongue, the shio clean but not at all simple, a subtle medley of salt, chicken, and the transparency needed to let the more delicate elements like the cilantro and bean sprouts express themselves, even as the fresh garlic and bonito express themselves more assertively. Oksumi's care and attention to balance encourages one to see these simple, elemental forms of ramen not as "basic" in the slightest, but as works of art expressed in their own whitespace. Approach the shio here not with the need for every space to be filled. This dish is a culinary Gokui no Uta. If you think there is something, there is nothing; if you think there is nothing, there is something. Over a fragile moment with calamari, in which I reflected that I had never once tasted a rubbery or greasy piece of squid at Oksumi, and in fact, had never tasted a *better* piece of squid, not even in my years on the California coast, it really came home for me. Oksumi is a place in which I stopped consuming, and started appreciating the "something-there." I wandered the menu, from tonkotsu black garlic (a flavor hurricane) to simple shio and the robustness of vegetarian Nagoya-style ramen, and let myself dissolve into the moment, into the Kai, the "something-there" that manifests when one's mind stops playing with its expectations and assumptions, and simply experiences. My happiest moments, as a diner, happen when a meal silences my unreasonable, arrogant, chattering mind, and brings me to a lighted door of experience somewhere between the late Leonard Cohen's semi-contrition and the late Anthony Bourdain's quiet confessionals in moments of being a stranger at a table. Again and again, I return to Oksumi, to understand what ramen *is*, and to humble my difficult, noisy mind to a level of quiet that can appreciate the Kai, the "something-there" that appears only when the mind is still, quiet, and allows itself to experience without a commentary track of judgment. Calling Oksumi "simple" is the highest praise one can pay it. Its ramen does not *need* adornment because its ramen is as adorned as ramen might ever need to be. Your attention is the substrate upon which Oksumi's elemental, straightforward ramen expresses itself. This place is an underrated treasure.

It's nothing fancy just a good food. So if you're looking for something simple and to the point give it a try.
