The venue is stunning and it hardly needs any decorations to feel complete. The gorgeous brick wall and string lighting steal the show. It's a perfect open floor plan with space for over 200 guests. The kitchen is tucked away in the corner providing an industrial sink, microwave, ice maker, and fridge/freezer, making it easy to store and prepare food for your event. The bar also includes a beverage cooler, bar sink for washing glasses, and plenty of shelves for storing alcohol. The venue is always cleaned, bathrooms always fully stocked, and tables and chairs provided by Cynthia making the planning process such a breeze. Cynthia is a dream to work with. She is super communicative with times available for picking up and dropping off keys. She provided us with a detailed walk through of the venue before our event, letting us know how to turn on lights and ac/heater unit. She let us know where to find everything we would need. She was so generous with time to set up and break down for our event both times that we've rented with her and we couldn't be more appreciative and happy with our experience each time. I'll always recommend this venue to anyone looking.

I didn't see anyone dressed like it was a gala event. By the name ballroom it conjures up images of gowns and tux's for me. This area is not the gala event type neighborhood. The entrance works really well for putting up check in tables on each side where everyone has room to get their name badges and then proceed in to the ballroom. Its really big in there. There was a ton of tables set up for everyone to eat or sit and talk amongst themselves. Around the room were the tables for sponsors to set up there goods and presentation materials. Also the give aways. This crowd loves a free little nick knack. A large stage is at the very end of the hall where the raffle items were set up and the company putting on the show was able to address the crowd. The food was shockingly good! Probably the main reason for my 4 stars. They cooked everything in house. I'm not sure if a restaurant came in and used the kitchen facility or if the Ballroom itself has a staff of chefs. Everything was served buffet style. I went with the Chicken that was in a light white sauce. I'm not sure what other meats were served. The veggies were perfect. Even my partner leaned over and said how much he loved the green beans. The night was very nice and they really knew how to throw a party. We had a great time and I believe everyone else did too.

I intentionally called several weeks early to make sure I got a spot on this special day. I had my mother and mother-in-law ready for this place. Some advice and lesson learned for me: always get the person's name of who you spoke to. It's sad that you can't even trust that they are taking your information down when you call.

I planned my wedding of over 200 people mostly by myself with some help from family and friends. Erica had me convinced that I was in Good hands with her and her staff and I trusted that they would deliver.... Although she has good intentions she failed over and over to deliver on my wedding day along with her staff, ... they are very unprofessional , Unorganized and blatantly lied about many things.... They are not holding themselves accountable for any of the misfortunes that went on that night and the moments that were lost due to their inconsistency and inability to deliver.... At ome of our meetings we sat down and Erica gave me a timeline in which things would take place the da/ night of our wedding, Thank goodness that we printed out this timeline for the people we thought Would need it to execute A relatively scheduled night.... Thank goodness we did that because if not it would have been a complete catastrophe.... We did have some form of organization through my family and friends None whatsoever from the venue and their staff.... In fact Erica turned around and altered the contract and change the timelines and made it appear as if there was never a set Schedule for certain things ..... Including the very important speeches/toast.... And The cutting of and serving cake to our guests.... These are just a couple of things where they fell short Not to mention it took them well over an hour to serve my guests dinner... It is obvious that that Erica is overworked as she will state that over and over again How many hours she puts in on any given day... I understand we are all human and we all fall short especially when our plates are overloaded, But when you start insulting my intelligence Because of your Human error. And could not seem to hold yourself accountable .... That's when principle comes in..... I think Erica either needs an assistant or a vacation...... . We paid way too much money for what we received... I would never recommend this place to anyone... They find an excuse for everything including our overcooked prime rib that my that most of our guest could not even eat..

Mother Nature had another plan though. On the week of the wedding we found out it was going to pour rain the day of the wedding so our entire plan had to change just days before. I was devastated to say the least. We were so frantic trying to find someone to pipe and drape for us, but the ones we reached out to were either booked or so expensive. Our DJ pointed us in the direction of Events by "E" and I am so glad he did. She went out of her way to make it work for us and at such an amazing price. She was able to completely pipe and drape the entire music hall and transformed it into the most beautiful room I've ever seen. She even hung lights for us in the bar. It was MAGICAL to say the very least. I wanted to bawl my eyes out when I saw it. It was so pretty. I cannot recommend her enough! She had great communication and flexibility. There is a nice bar area in which hosts can set up an open bar, and a stage for a DJ setup. My girlfriend had a dessert stand and there was plenty of room to set up all the fun decorations that come with a backdrop. She even had a taco vendor set up outside so it's nice to know this banquet hall honors outside vendors with the assumption that insurance requirements are met. Parking is very limited for guests and when it fills up (which it will), there is street parking but watch out for posted time limits. Considering how loud we all were, it's safe to say that you can host your next party here without worrying about noise restrictions.

Our event, the venue and all around interaction with everyone involved was the best. The owner and staff was remarkably professional, helpful very easy to work with I can't say enough good things about the staff. Our event was awesome everyone loved how the hall looked we got so many compliments. This place is a very affordable venue hall holds 150 ppl but can comfortable seat and hold many more. Has a full kitchen w/warming trays, huge fridge, AC, private and street parking, raised stage, draped ceilings, tile floors, bar, another fridge here and ice machine. The only flaw I find is there's 2 single stall restrooms 1 men, 1 women other than that everything was perfect for holding a small event. We really didn't have major restroom issues although I say we ended up with around 200 people at our event. There were times it could be a bit of a line not too bad though. This would not detour me from leasing this hall again and again. You need a deposit to book, they do require 2 security guards and are very open to allowing you to set up a day before if the hall is not booked that day. They also do all kind of rentals you may need for your event at very affordable prices. We ended up renting tables and chairs from them. The owner of this venue also owns the party store across the street so they just bring anything you may want to rent or buy right over. They make balloon garlands at the store too although we ended up doing our own garland. I highly recommend this business all around 5 star service and experience. The only thing I would like to add is the need for a bigger AC unit and/or an additional large electric cooler (they have 1 already). We had our event 7/13/19 and that day was 100 degrees I believe the hall was cool when we got there and then it was just super hot. Which is normal I know with the door constantly being opened and as more people arrive plus the speakers from the DJ and so on. I do feel there is a big need for an upgrade. Hopefully the owner will considered addressing this area because inside the hall got to be pretty unbearable. Other than that this hall is perfect.

She's welcoming, genuine, and incredibly knowledgeable, but never overwhelming. Instead, she creates a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer and come back again. What really sets her apart is her consistency. It's not just one great visit--every time we've been there, she's gone above and beyond with the same positive energy and attention to detail. Because of her, this winery has become our go-to spot. I even celebrated my 50th birthday here, and it was such a memorable experience. All of my guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing Rachelle was--everyone felt taken care of, comfortable, and truly impressed with the service. The winery itself is beautiful, accommodating, and perfect for gatherings, which made the celebration even better. On top of that, the entire team at Calivirgin is fantastic. Everyone we've interacted with has been friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, which really adds to the overall experience. The wine is excellent, the setting is great, and the people are what truly make this place stand out for us. We'll absolutely keep coming back, and a big reason for that is Rachelle.

Last weekend on a trip to Sacramento, I finally had a chance to stop by their Olive Mill and Winery. There is a nice sparking clean outdoor patio with picnic tables within a few steps from the olive oil grove but it was a bit hot that day so we opted to sit inside. In addition to the olive oil tasting set, there were some brunch items such as a crostini and salad as well as a Mediterranean plate with hummus. We opted for the crostini, olive oil tasting and a cappuccino. The jalapeño olive oil was unique and flavorful enough that we bought a couple bottles of it to take home. The pear vinaigrette was thick and tangy. The waitresses were friendly and helpful when we had a couple questions about the dishes. The shelves in the shop area is full of flavored olive oils and vinaigrette as well as ceramic and a whole slew of items for serving charcuterie. If you are a fan of olive oil and are planning on a trip up to Sacramento or Lake Tahoe, would definitely recommend stopping by to check out Calivirgin.
