So my girlfriend was going to take it to a shop and was quoted over a grand. So Instead I looked on yelp and found Murphy's and requested a quote at about 10:50pm on a Friday night. I got a text to my cell phone at 11:02pm just minute's later!! He asked me what I heard and he agreed that it sounded like the starter. He got all the information about the car and said he would contact me in the morning. The very next morning he called me and got the part and was headed over to my apartment to help. He got here quickly and tested to make sure it was the starter before he installed it to save time and money. And got it installed and ready and working perfectly in about 30-40 minutes. He charged us for the part he brought for us and the labor and we ended up paying around 600 bucks when we would have been paying at LEAST twice that at a shop, and we didn't have to worry about towing the car to a shop or anything since he came to us. We were extremely happy and I'd recommend him to anyone. I believe his name was John, If I'm incorrect I'm sorry lol. But he was very good, quick, knowledgeable and convenient. At this point I'm thinking he's full of crap and trying to scam me so I look up his reviews, what I found is 15 bad reviews on Google and he claims he has never done business with any of these people. 2 claims filed against him on the BBB site as well yet he likes to boast about being A+ rated with 0 reviews. My jeep is worse off than when I took it in there and I'm getting an attorney. It is not drivable at all, died 5 times just going home which is less than a mile from his shop and the engine shakes all over the place now! Horrible mechanic. DO NOT GO HERE. I also paid in CASH because he doesn't accept credit cards and didn't even tell me that until AFTER the "work" was done. His response when I inquired about it being cash only was "you didn't ask." What kind of auto shop takes cash only? A scamming one that lies and denies they've ever done business with people they have screwed over, that's who.
