This is after she put a crown in a few months back, over a cavity. Dr. Mackler once commented to me that she moves very fast. She moves so fast that she advocated me going to a place she said she uses, to remove a tooth which was not loose and was not bothering me and maybe could be saved. I found a five star dentist who specializes in challenging crown situations and yesterday, he performed a successful surgery to remove the cavity and seal up the crown. He said when he got in there, that the cavity wasn't that bad and the situation wasn't all that dismal. Dr. Scolar had told me that if I didn't pull the tooth out that because of the cavity, I might die of an abcess. I feel that her emphasis on moving fast without empathy or connection to the patient is not at all helpful and I am now changing dentists to the dentist I found her expressed both understanding and compassion.

The whole office was welcoming, efficient, and understanding. I wasn't sure whether I would just live with the chip, but Dr. Teddi carefully examined the tooth and after using her imaging machine to show me the problem I agreed to have it repaired. As she went through the process, she explained everything beforehand and answered all my questions about the tooth. The work was painless and quick, and my tooth looks and feels great. I also liked the way everyone was treated in the office. Dr. Teddi was considerate with her assistant, Kevin, and kind with the dental student observing her work (she observed with my permission). While I recognize that this was my first experience at the office, the respect shown between everyone and the good communication skills I saw were obviously developed over time. Highly recommend.

All of a sudden they can prescribe - after wasting hours of my time. I am a schoolteacher. I *repeatedly* told Crestal not to call me during school hours. They called me EIGHT TIMES IN TWO DAYS, during school hours. Finally I made it plain to them - I have autistic students, students with no English, I am not permitted to make or receive calls during the school day, so STOP CALLING. The chirpy little twitch on the phone then told me, "Well then! If you won't talk with us when we want, this isn't the office for you, so now your appointment is cancelled!" and SLAMMED DOWN THE PHONE. They're snotty, disrespectful and generally unpleasant. I communicated all of this to my referring dentist, who was happy to refer me to another office. I called that new office and they told me that there should never have been an issue about things 15 years ago, or antibiotics, or any of it, it was all unnecessary. And they were polite, and scheduled me an appointment after school hours. SKIP CRESTAL, go somewhere else unless you like being disrespected and jerked around.

I literally couldn't eat or DRINK anything for two weeks and had extensive issues with the same for a mont. I lost 20 lbs as a result and was only 120 lbs when I went to see him. The graft, especially from the right of my pallet, has permanent nerve damage. I can feel where the graft was to this day and it was 2 years ago. The whole process was difficult and I didn't receive support on what to do with the issues I was having after. I was often not treated as a valued patient. I would seek out a different perio dentist. Before this, I had no fear or hesitation with dentists. Now I am definitely scared on any future work I may need.

We moved from out of state and due to unforeseen circumstances, I hadn't been to a dentist in 2 years. I chipped a tooth and needed to find one fast. I picked Riverside because I liked the name. When I was young I lived where there were no amusement parks. I came down to visit my sister in CT. She took me to Riverside Park which is now Six Flags New England. Yaz, the receptionist, was so nice and went out her way to get my insurance verified. They had her jumping through hoops. They'd ask her for one thing, and she'd give it to them, and then they'd ask for something else instead of asking her for everything at the same time. I had an appointment in 45 minutes, not only for my chipped tooth, but I had my teeth cleaned by a lovely Russian woman whose name I've forgotten. I'm so sorry. My tooth will be finished with soon and my teeth are so clean. Dr. Eshak is wonderful. He explains things so well. He doesn't talk to you in medical jargon, but he doesn't talk down to you, either.
