On the first day of our month-long road trip from Los Angeles to Key West, we pulled away from the curb around 2 AM, and started heading for our first destination, Las Cruces, NM. Yeah, that's more than 700 miles, but we wanted to make a dent out of the blocks. After a 90 minute, all-lanes-blocked delay in the California desert, we were hankering for coffee and maybe a little sugar to get us going for a long travel day. Mrs. Picante had a Krispy Kreme gift certificate burning a hole in her pocket, and she did a quick Yelp search to see where the closest one was. As timing guided, turns out it was this one. Located in a big shopping center just off the Highway, we made a few turns and sort of slid in sideways with our truck and 25 ft. Trailer. After a short trip in, the wifenkids returned with a box of glaze, chocolate, and some sort of strawberry-with-white-frosting thing that left me with a weird permasmile for about an hour. Coffee was strong, hot, sweet, and a little lighter than a paper bag, just like like me. Would totally go here again. Especially if one of my bride's students hooks her up with another gift certificate.

While I would have preferred them warm I understand the campaign items take more time and aren't ran on a hot and ready rotation if you will lol. It's all good though all nicely decorated and exceptionally glazed. The cashier was friendly and it smelled so good so knowing they're taking good care of the original glazed warmed my heart lol. We haven't been in a while so this was a sweet treat for treat season!! Service was fast and friendly I'll be back for my original glaze!!

The hot sign wasn't on when we came in but they were making fresh glazed line was tolerable for 10:30 on a Thursday morning. Employees weren't particularly friendly. When we sat at a table a bit crawled past us. They were also out of napkins, which I found very very odd. Music was kinda loud but no one was in the lobby so noise was fine.

Love this place, The donuts are always fresh! The service is great as well. The donuts was warm and soft.

Pupmkin spice original glaze were terrible. The donuts themselves were hard and stale. They also tasted of old oil mixed with pumpkin spice. It is not a pleasant taste to have linger in one's mouth. The pumpkin spice filled with cheesecake were only slightly better. The filling helped mask some of that flavor. Collectively we decided to throw the remaining donuts out. Service on the other hand was great. We were greeted by all employees who were out. Suggestions to up-sell were not pushy. The person who helped us had an upbeat tone of voice.

Afterwards, I walked over to the window to place my order. I ordered a jalapeño breakfast burrito and an almond milk latte with honey and cinnamon powder. The burrito came with red potatoes, pepper jack cheese, egg, and a side of salsa. It usually comes with bacon or sausage but I opted for neither. Service was fast and friendly. I enjoyed both the burrito and the latte!

When we got to the shop, the line was extremely long which I saw as a really good sign. Unfortunately for me, it was not. The service was extremely nice, a smidge slow but that was pretty understandable due to the line and also due to the many to go orders being placed ahead of time. I did notice with the to go orders that there wasnt as many drinks being picked up...this might be a coffee shop that is known for their food more than their drinks (unique). The sitting inside was limited and a little squashed, the shop itself is pretty small. If you have any form of anxiety...dont go anywhere near Enroute, I almost left multiple times without my drink because of it. I ordered the Large Honey Pistachio Latte with Oatmilk (a common drink I have ordered from other shops and have loved) it was about $10 and my mom ordered a herbal iced tea with cherry in it, the tea was okay but nothing spectacular. The lack of tea choices was a little shocking due to the fact that the name of the shop promotes that it is a Tea House. We spent a little over $17, Scottsdale can be expensive and I have bought a lot of coffee from Scottsdale..and I will argue that this is one of the most expensive drinks I have gotten especially when comparing size and quality. I didn't really like my drink at all, and had a hard time chugging it down. I personally probably will not becoming back...that being said, there is obviously something within the shop that has made it extremely popular. My guess is the hot food options available, if you were to decide to try this shop... I would recommend either reaching out to someone who.loves this shop or checking into those items specifically.

Being able to fully customize your boba or other drinks exactly how you want them (sweetness level, ice level, toppings, etc.) makes the whole experience feel modern and convenient. I honestly wish more spots would adopt this setup! The ambience was another big plus. The space felt clean, trendy, and super inviting -- definitely a place you'd want to hang out in for a bit. It had that chill vibe that makes grabbing a drink feel like a mini escape. That said, my drink ended up being a little bland. I customized it, so maybe I should've adjusted the sweetness level differently, but it just didn't hit the flavor/creaminess I was expecting. I was also a little disappointed that they don't offer sugar-free options or alternative sweeteners. Having choices like sugar substitutes or even something like coconut whip would make it more inclusive for people who are watching their sugar intake or prefer dairy-free alternatives. I also waited a bit longer than anticipated, and I didn't receive any notification through the Toast Local app when my drink was ready, which would've made the pickup smoother. It is also a bit on the pricey side, especially considering the portion and flavor. Still, I really appreciate the self-order system and the customizable options. With a bit more flavor and smoother notification timing, this place would be top-tier. I'd probably give it another shot -- and tweak my order next time!
