Who can say no to free doughnuts? Who can turn down HOT Krispy Kreme doughnuts? Not this one. It was National Talk Like a Pirate day, with the offer of either: 1. Dressing up like a pirate for a free dozen glazed doughnuts, or 2. Talking like a pirate for one free glazed doughnut. Our friend took it upon herself to make an impromptu pirate costume out of a button down shirt, a belt and a bandanna. It was probably the quickest and most inventive costume I've ever seen, if I do say so myself. We decided we did not need four dozen doughnuts, so only one of us dressed up. When we arrived at 9:30 PM on a Saturday night, the store was packed. A line wound around the drive thru, so we went inside, where people were waiting for their free dozens of doughnuts. Understandable, since pirates had taken over Krispy Kreme. One of the workers behind the counter apologized for the delay, as the doughnuts were being made HOT at the moment and would take a little time. I can't complain about a wait when it comes to free Krispy Kreme. We picked up some milk from Publix on the way home, and opened up the fresh box of nearly perfectly glazed doughnuts. What we received was an assortment of Oreo, strawberry moon (gross) specials, birthday cake filled, iced and filled, etc. No original glazed were included and these were not the simple flavors kids like. They were overly sweet, the wrong assortment, and cold - NOT HOT N FRESH - with the icing rolling and crumbling off. These were for my child's birthday party and I was really disappointed. He told us to pull up to the window for our total and told us it was 9 bucks and some change for the donuts which I was thinking was a little too much. On my first visit I was charged for a Holiday Dozen which was cool, but my snowman donuts were shaped really weird and my box had icing and jelly filling all over the outside of the box. I was disappointed but my co workers didn't seem to mind, they worked them over before I could snap a picture of the poorly made bunch. At first the cashier acted as if she had no knowledge of this emailed coupon, but she ended up scanning it and adding in the discount. After going into the place, my first issue was the look of it, it was dirty and seem to be very disorganized. I failed to check my dozens before leaving, but I did notice that she was having a little trouble arranging them into the box. Halfway to my Christmas dinner I opened the box and saw a disarray of donuts ( not the little cute circles I'm use to eat), they were in a circular shape but some were thick and ugly. They were in such a disarray that she didn't even notice that 12 complete donut were not in the box. I had 11 in one box and 12 in the other. I thought about taking them back, but I didn't want to be late for my event. This was my second and my last visit to this location. They need to clean the place up, make the employees tidy up a bit ( appearance ) and get those donuts right or get someone in there that knows what to do to make it right. This has to be the slowest Krispy Kreme I've ever been to. On server occasions the wait time has been entirely too long for no one to be in the drive- thru. The customer service is just as bad as the wait time. The donuts are never fresh, even when the light is on. read more

I actually think that this new location is easier to access and exit than the old store. Or, at least, you have more options. With that in mind, ATL (and Roswell) drivers are incredibly inconsiderate and selfish...most will not let you out into traffic, so you have to gird your loins and punch the throttle. But none of that has a thing to do with this KK. Clean, open, bright store. The bathroom is nice, although I'll be surprised if it is still nice after the sheen wears off and the employees settle in. For now, the staff is nice and efficient, although I did park and go into the store to ogle the goods. Krispy Kreme and Subway are two places that you shouldn't complain about glacial service in the drive-thru. The angled parking spaces on the Mansell side are narrow, as if they were painted by an elf with a paint brush in each hand. The parking lot is roomier than most in the area and navigation isn't hazardous, if you are half-ass paying attention. Even though the glazing conveyor belt is in plain view behind the cases of 'nuts, the selection isn't what I expected. Specifically, I was pining for blueberry cake donuts, which I was informed are seasonal items. WTH!? This was one of my wishes that arose from the move from the old location, that the new store would have a better selection of classic KK varieties. No dice. I had to complete the loop and go to the QT and settle for some glazed blueberry fritters. While I'm kvetching, 99 cents for a glazed donut approaches sublime inanity. You could get a McDouble for that much loot. I realize that there are quantity discounts, but it's damned unconscionable that a single, solitary glazed donut costs a dollar. read more

Excited to be buying doughnuts here since the last time was only a few weeks after this location first opened. In my first visit I purchased a couple dozen of traditional glazed doughnuts. The server gave me two boxes of pre-boxed doughnuts from the top of the display counter.. Unfortunately most of the doughnuts in both boxes had stuck to the boxes and when removal was attempted the doughnuts either tore apart or came out with paper from the box adhering to them. Fast forward to now.. There were no pre-boxed doughnuts on the display cases.. The server asked what he could get for me but before I could answer he started a conversation with a coworker. One car in the drive thru and six workers inside that I could see. I asked for the dozen to be divided into 2 smaller boxes. That did not happen and when I asked, the cashier only replied $5.39. No matter what I said or asked that was the only response given. I have very special childhood memories of visiting Krispy Kreme in Miami Beach with my father. Our fishing trips started very early, and almost always began with pulling up to familiar green, red and white sign, and walking in and taking in the incredible smell of doughnuts being made. I was amazed at the assembly line production of these perfectly cooked and glazed doughnuts. I remember them melting in my mouth. 35 years later, they are still delicious, and never fail to make me feel good inside, and now I'm taking my own kids here to experience their awesomeness. This store single handedly delivered the worst donut experience of my life to me on this day November 16th, 2016. I have quite the sweet tooth when it comes to anything pumpkin flavored, so when I heard, over the app twitter, that there was a one day only pumpkin spice donut available, I couldn't resist. I called my nearest Kristy cream which happened to be 30 minutes away and asked if the rumor was true. The clerk responded yes and that they had them in the store. I had heard enough, so I hopped in my monster truck, and I was on my way. I arrive 30 minutes later hungry as could be, ready to order 12 pumpkin spice donuts which were advertised all over the windows and inside the store. After walking in to my surprise the pumpkin spiced donuts were the same coloration as the glazed donut. That was no matter after all, it's what's on the inside that counts. The time had come. I was next in line. I ask the unenthusiastic donut lady if I could please have 12 of those pumpkin spice donuts? She responded as if rehearsed many times in the bathroom knowing she was about to shatter my hopes and dreams, "we out." My heart dropped. I thought this couldn't be, that it had to be some sort of sick joke and as soon as I start to break down a camera crew would pop out from the back room and shower me with laughter and pumpkin spice donuts. Sadly I was wrong. Without a word I exited the building. This Roswell location started out good but now they are serving stale donuts that are ice cold from the a/c being set at sub-below zero. You can't go in so you have to order from the window. This location KILLS me. It has all the potential, but lets me down every time. Krispy Kreme decided to move away from it's long tenured Atlanta Street (Hwy 9) location in the heart of Roswell the middle of last year. They needed someplace with easier access, higher traffic rates, and a location that could serve as the distribution bakery for North ATL OTP. They found it in a corner lot at Mansell and Alpharetta Hwy (Hwy 9). When the signs first went up, rumblings of awesome went through the community. It is at one of the MOST heavily trafficked intersections in Roswell, just a couple miles off 400, and would bring that sweet Krispy Kreme awesomeness even that much closer to rush hour commuters. I, too, reveled in the new site and even participated in opening day events telling ALL my friends what a wonderful privilege it was to have this brand spankin new Krispy Kreme joint in the neighborhood. And that, my friend, is when things went downhill. Sure, it was clean, new and had a nice outdoor patio to relax on. But when the banners came down, so did the quality of the product and service. I've entered in normal evening hours to them bleaching the floors, ignoring me for minutes, and just going about their business. I've opened several boxes to find burnt doughnuts, had three separate employees forget my order in a single visit and return with a different person to re-ask. It's just been abyssmal. Entrance and Exit here are also a nightmare, something we were hoping would be changed when they invested in the parcel. Only entrance is Eastbound on Mansell or an awkward entrance to sister plazas from Westbound Mansell or Northbound Alpharetta Hwy. Here's hoping the quality and service pick up.
