I have never had a Krispy Kreme original glazed donut hot off the production line, and it is like a bite of Heaven. COVID protocols are followed, so there is a limit to the number of people in the store. Service is great. The line moves quickly, and as you wait you can watch the donuts being made through a huge glass window, which is very soothing. I bought a dozen beautiful hot donuts, and the little pillows of happiness disappeared as soon as I got home. Well worth the trip there. Amazing donuts but needs to work on their supply chain, customer service and execution. The line is outrageous and deters customers from waiting to be served. There has to be a more efficient way to sell donuts when majority of them are already pre-made. It would make sense if they were short on supply and were making them fresh for each order. The servers need to be cautious of managing their customers payment such as cash/credit card and touching their own faces and hair, while dealing with customers food. read more

Expensive but really good! I drive 40 minutes to get these donuts. Service at the East Rutherford location is fabulous and they actually fill the donuts unlike some other Krispy Kreme establishments. Went last night no raspberry filled they offered me raspberry powdered instead. Told me to come back in the morning. Just left again. Google says you guys are open Kk website says 8am. Drive through only is open. Go to drive thru,ask for raspberry filled, offered powdered raspberry again. Come back in 10 or 15 minutes... can I place an order ? No see when you come back. I purchased an E Gift card from Groupon back in Nov 2020 a week or two later I used it at this location no issues. On 2/27/21 I purchased another and went to use it. I presented it and the staff member could not ring it up. She asked for help in the meantime I was told they are a franchisee and don't accept this form of payment. Yet in the past I used an e gift card at the same location. That was excuse number 1. Someone else came over and they couldn't get it to work. They then call a "manager"over and he proceeded to take three seconds with me and stated you need to call Groupon and walked away because I imagine he didn't have time for me. I guess customer service wasn't a priority at this location on this day. I called corporate and was told someone would contact me from the location but who knows. I was with my kids who were excited to get donuts so that is why I didn't just say keep the donuts so I paid for the $35.00 of donuts and left. Throughout the pandemic I supported this establishment and it is very disappointed at the lack of service and respect for the customer. Thankfully the rep in cooperate was very apologetic and stated that my treatment was well below their standards. Happen to be by the East Rutherford Krispy Kreme. Hadn't been in one in a long time and had been telling my daughter how awesome the raspberry donuts were. Turned around and made a special trip to pick up a dozen donuts. That's six raspberry and six plain. When I got home all excited for my daughter to try them all six raspberry were actually cream donuts and not raspberry at all. Extremely frustrating as it was an hour away. Tried to call the store and kept getting a number that was voicemail full or not working. So information online 's not even correct. Doughnuts are on point, however the drive through lady scolded me because I didn't order at the menu sign. I waited in the drive thru line today for 1 HR and 10 min & finally got to the top of the summit and was scolded because I went to the window instead of ordering at the menu. I waited at the drive through for a while and when I finally received my donuts, I should have opened the box and checked. Instead of a dozen original they gave me all different types of the green ones with sprinkles. Their phone doesn't work and it wasn't worth going back for. Not sure if I am missing something - but after waiting 1.25 hours in the drive-thru to get some of their donuts (tried crullers, apple fritters, lemon filled, strawberry frosting, and glazed), I was a little disappointed that it did not hit my expectation level after hearing all the hype about Krispy Kreme. Maybe I have to try it when it is during their "hot zone"? But then again, with the 1+ hour wait, how is it possible to get it when it's hot? I thought the donuts were too flat (again, I might be wrong to expect donuts to be fluffier lol), too sweet (maybe donuts are suppose to be that sweet?), and the apple fritters were way tooo cinnamon-y. Went in and asked if they had hot and now and they didnt know what it was. Shocked and appalled because there was a hot and now sign at the front of the store, I just ordered a dozen assortment of doughnuts. I expected that since the store just opened they would at least be fresh but I was wrong. Been here a couple of times already and I've always been satisfied with the donuts. However, they need improvement on their overall staff and how they manage to take orders from customers. I realize you had just opened but there is no need for a line as large as it is for people to wait a whole hour and for each car to order at least 1 dozen of donuts and perhaps coffee on the side. Mind you, the coffee is absolutely disgusting and you can easily tell that they don't change the coffee filter enough throughout the day since it does taste extremely bitter. Tip from a former barista: brew the coffee into the pots every half hour if you must and with espresso, don't let it sit for no more than 10 seconds as the flavor loses its rich consistency! Despite that, every time I've come here, there's been a issue with the staff listening for orders carefully--now, I don't know if it's because their headset isn't working properly or the speaker outside is very poor but this has been a constant issue. Maybe the reason for their long lines is because whoever is on the headset is also handling money by the window along with handing the orders to the customers; at least two people should be able to be by the window to handle the orders verbally and physically; two other people should be able to handle the donuts/drinks. The current staff does not work well under pressure and needs help multitasking. I could be wrong but they do need effort. Best of luck! read more

Krispy Kreme has social distancing 100% WRONG. Despite having a drive thru and online ordering capacity- they have 2 lines of people entering the store including those who prepaid and ordered. Krispy Kreme has finally made it to North Jersey but they haven't smoothed out all the bumps. I got the original glazed, glazed sour cream cake, glazed chocolate cake, and blueberry glazed cake. The original glazed were as good as any other Krispy Kreme but the sour cream cake donut was just bad, dry as a desert, dense, and flat. Me and my girlfriend went there and thought the place looked awesome and the girl who greeted us at the door and taking our order was super nice and courteous but thennnn...... after we placed our order we were waiting for the donuts and a young skinny white kid was struggling to read our order he changed the donuts around like 3 times I already could tell somethint was going to be wrong with our order but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and drove home .... so wen we got home we realized he gave us 3 of the lemon filled glazed donuts which we absolutely hate and ended up having to throw in garbage ... tried to call after but no one was answering there phone if that didn't happen our experience there would have been great .... only other thing I was super dissapointed in was the new York cheese cake donut ....
