With such a large variety of cookies offered, the only difficulty I had was selecting six because I wanted to explore them all. As I opened the box, I was in awe as to how gigantic they truly were. Chocolate Chip: The original flavor has and will always be my personal favorite. As you can see, it is packed with dark chocolate chip morsels. Cookies N Cream Cheesecake: If you are looking for the perfect variation of a sugar cookie, you've found it. This highlight of this masterpiece is the shot of sweet cream cheese infused in its center. Confetti: This other version of the sugar cookie is loaded with sprinkles. It has a rainbow-like appearance. Rocky Road: This ice cream inspired cookie is loaded with marshmallows and chopped almonds. Think of it as a moist, warm version of the classic treat. S'mores: Why purchase marshmallow, graham cracker, and chocolate when all you need to do is buy this cookie? It is identical to the real deal and you will definitely want "s'more." Cookies this expensive should be a sin... Eating them should be a bigger sin... a sin that I'm willing to commit over and over again. Chip City specializes in baking cookies with a soft, gooey center. After drooling over photos online, I decided to treat myself one night. The store is located on a main street in Ridgewood, so it's street parking only. When I walked in, I couldn't get over how cute and bright the store was. To whoever is in charge of the marketing, design, and logos... kudos to you! A sweet employee (I think her name was Chrissy?) answered all my questions and helped me out. Since I came later in the evening, I was worried there wouldn't be too many cookies available, but I was wrong. There were plenty AND they were still fresh too! They offer classic flavors as well as seasonal and artisanal ones. So many unique and creative options! They also have mini ones and thin ones (with less calories). Flavors are rotated weekly and you can check the website for the line-up. Each cookie is $5.50, but trust me... they are dense, large, and can be shared with other people. I decided on the 3 Box Special ($14.50) and got... *Italian Rainbow - MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ONE! It's a tri colored almond cookie filled with raspberry jam and topped with dark chocolate ganache. The almond paste was so rich and the sweet jam was the perfect touch. A MUST TRY! *Chocolate Chip - A yummy classic. How could you go wrong with a brown sugar cookie with dark chocolate chips? *Fluffernutter - The description made it sound better than it tasted, so this was my least favorite out of the three. It's a vanilla sugar cookie with peanut butter chips filled with marshmallow cream. The peanut butter overpowered everything else. I feel like this would work better with a chocolate cookie. What I love about these cookies is that they don't just taste like a giant blob of sugar. You can actually appreciate and distinguish between the different flavors and ingredients. If you like crispy/crunchy cookies, you probably won't be a fan. If you enjoy cookies with a slightly crunchy exterior, but a soft, ooey, gooey (almost raw-like) interior, Chip City is for you! read more

It's just ok honestly. I actually think crumble is better. The staff is kind of young and they don't do well under pressure they get confused at times about which cookie is what. The chocolate chip cookie was dry. I really don't see the hype about this place. Wouldn't come back. read more

We walked into Chip City, craving a cookie or two. Of course, we left with a box of cookies. The location is small but quaint. There are different varieties to choose from, and the sizes are chunky and smelled so good. Staff was friendly. Art work on the walls and on the box were fun to look at. All forms of payments are accepted, and parking is available right outside. We ate the cookies within the first five days. Nothing beats the first day taste. However, the cookies still tasted good. I've been a fan of Chip City since they were called Chip NYC and only had a location or two in Queens. It's nice to see them expand across state lines! The location in Ridgewood is clean and bright. There's just enough space to grab some cookies and be on your way. The cookies are thick, delicious, and best eaten when fresh/warm. A newer dessert and coffee spot in Ridgewood located right next to Playa Bowls. The cookies are a must try, whether a snack or a sweet treat you will not be disappointed. The service is extremely friendly and helpful! The inside of the shop is super cute and colorful. I ordered the Lemon poppy seed cookie and blueberry cheesecake cookie. I recommend sharing the cookie as they are dense and super filling. The blueberry cheesecake had fresh blueberries and a delicious cheesecake gooey center. Chip City B Chip Chip City B 9.3 graded cookie for ya kiddies, B I was going through a phase, mom! I wasn't in the mood for cookies, especially in the form of chocolate chip. Strange, I know. Who doesn't love a cookie-cookie? Then these fat, chunky, gooey and firm chocolate chips wound up within arms distance of me. The pure sight, let alone smell, infiltrated my egghead and rewired my cookie receptors (which must've been injured in some colossal accident that I cannot pinpoint.) ~ My initial guess on what could've impacted my normally incoherently strong cookie receptors lead me to a few options. Option 1: I ate about 14.5 chocolate chip biscotti in a single seating, passed out during the final 15th and fell temple first into the corner of a granite (rich guy) counter top. 225 lbs of pure muscle, along with gravity, thrusted into a recently sharpened edge of a kitchen island. I was now laid on the kitchen floor. Smeared with blood which was spewing from directly above my eye lid up to my scalp. I woke up to my pet orangutan Jimmy gorilla gluing together the massive gash in my forehead. They said buying that orangutan was a waste. But he saved my life. Nevertheless, maybe my neural elasticity for cookies was ruined due to the sustained impact. Option 2: I got a nasty infection from expired and fecal-contaminated gorilla glue which entered my bloodstream during a surgical operation performed on me by my pet orangutan Jimmy. Luckily, my pet Orangutan Jimmy knows where I keep the Epi-Pen and swiftly recognized that he had to use it when I began to seize due to the infection spreading to my brain awfully quickly. This could've been the reason I lost my taste for cookies, but we can't be so sure and I am doubtful. Option 3: My pet Orangutan Jimmy is a thoughtful soul, a protective nurturing presence, and a self-proclaimed, self-taught surgeon. But he also doesn't function extraordinarily well under pressure. It is possible I lost my attraction to the chocolate chip cookie when he stuck an adrenaline needle into me to save me from an infection. The epi-pen was sanitized; however, he decided the best place for impact was on my scalp right at the edge of the pre-exposed cut. With full force he lunged the needle into my skull, saving my life, but in the process taking a 3-5mm sliver of my brain out along with the needle. This could've been what caused the acute damage to my cookie receptors, but I'm no doctor and I don't want to make such a baseless assumption. I've yet to get a scan, Jimmy says I don't need one and I don't want to disrespect his intelligence by getting a second opinion. ~ Anyways, these Chip City Chocolate Chip Cookies cured me. Revived my love of the cookie. I even had a s'more cookie which was nearly on par. These things are fat. If Santa had to eat these at every house for Christmas (he would because they are delicious) he would not make it to 25% of the globe. No matter how expansive his stomach is, you just can't expect this size of cookie. It's really extraordinary that they keep such a lovely taste at this size. It's soft, it's firm, it's sweet but not too sweet, sugary but not too sugary, dry yet moist. This Chip City location does a lovely cookie. I hope I got this point across properly. Had seen a post on social media about Chip City opening up in Ridgewood and decided to pay a visit after seeing post of their delicious cookies. When you walk closer to the entrance the sweet smell of freshly baked cookies hits you in the face-- you cannot help but smile when you smell cookies. We were welcomed in by Brian as he was helping other customers. We looked in the display and all the cookies looked soooo good! They have a weekly cookie menu and this weeks consisted of white chocolate macadamia, pb&j, s'mores, chocolate chip, horchata, and crumbdiddlyumptious. While we waited for our turn we visited their photo booth station and made a fun Chip City gif. Brian took our order and decided on the deal for 5 cookies and one for free and he got our order together fairly quickly! The cookies are generous sizes and some have a filling in the center. They had a small seating area but had taken them to go as more customers had arrived. We first tried the white chocolate macadamia and it was amazing-- nothing beats a warm freshly baked gooey cookie!! We actually had shared that cookie between 3 of us--that's how large the cookies were that we were able to share. We tried all of them and our favorites were the s'mores and horchata. The horchata had a cinnamon rice milk filling inside and complimented the cookie. I will say they do taste best warmed up so you can pop it in the oven or microwave for bit for the fresh baked cookie. I will be back again as the cookie menu changes frequently. I do love funfetti and Brian mentioned that it will be on the menu next week! So I will be back to try that cookie. They also have various hot and cold coffees. Truly enjoy every time I come by and visit this location. Not sure of all the other nasty reviews as each time the employees have been nothing but helpful and kind. The cookies are 5.5 oz each and have a gooey center with a perfectly toasted finish to it. The menu changes every Friday as well! It's a fun way to try new cookies and expand your palette. Truly recommend this location for anyone looking for a WARM and delightful cookie. And did I mention a Photo Booth as well? Cookies taste good and not to sweet. Wanted to like these cookies but the texture wasn't doing it for me. Ordered three cookies. We cut the cookies in half and all the cookies were undercooked. Tried one before putting it in the oven. Tasted good but it was like eating raw cookie dough. Ate the cooked parts and it had more of a cakey texture. I understand the whole, cookie gooey texture idea but it was a miss. Threw the rest in the oven for a few mins but it didn't help the texture of the cookie. I came when they first opened at 11am and I can say the employee that morning could of been more friendlier and not look so depressed m. Other than that, they cookies were so warm and delicious. My favorite was the horchata cookie. It was sooo crunchy in the outside and warm and soft on the inside. I'd def come back. Chip City is similar to your run of the mill cookie shop. However, it is everything but. Compared to the other shops quality and customer service clears by far. My go to is usually confetti however can sometimes indulge on a weekly special. If you like croissants and cookies... well I have good news. On weekends they offer a Crookie which blends parts of both ingredient from a buttery croissant and warm soft cookie into one. I have never ate inside but location and lighting is pretty and unique. Only difficulty with getting from here is parking. But it is manageable for any driver. read more

My plan was to try 3 or 4 different flavors on my first trip here.. I got there at the end of the night when they were closing tho.. they only had a few flavors left- Brookie, Nutella sea salt, red velvet cheesecake, strawberry shortcake, chocolate chip & banana cream.. I got strawberry shortcake & Nutella for myself.. dad got the chocolate chip & my BFF got banana cream , red velvet & Nutella .. I went in late tonight and ordered a box of three. My server told me that she'd give me an extra one since it was late. When she rung me up, she charged me for four. I asked her why and she said the fourth one I ordered was an upcharge. Then why offer it to me for free before you put it in the box? I felt completely deceived by such shady business practices.
