I usually ALWAYS have a great experience with this stop. However, after visiting this morning I believe I will be finding a new donut home. When asked if a specific type of coffee was good I was given an extremely sarcastic answer from the member working the drive thru. She then made me feel as if anything else I was asking for was a bother to her. I've tried with this location and they actually use to be very good. I don't know if it's the removal of their glazing machine because now they have to individually dip each donut in the glaze but something is off. I confirmed it when visiting the Cutler Bay KK location. They're not fulfilling when I have that KK craving. I went in last night to take advantage of a members only offer for 5.99/dozen. Let's start with the glaze- you can barely see it on the original glazed. It's as if it's too thin. The donuts aren't the right consistency to be hot and fresh, they're thick and dry, makes me think they're not freshly fried but possibly fried earlier and kept warm then glazed once you order, I really don't know. But there's something off. Another pet peeve is they never print out the receipt that offers a survey for a free dozen like the Cutler Bay location which has now become my favorite spot even though they're 30 minutes north. When they removed they're glazing display, they definitely went down several notches. They should've never messed with the formula. Honestly, why did I go in the first place? For the delicious food? Or for the fast, friendly service? Even to this moment, the reason for going still eludes me. I pulled up and I waited for the intercom greeting. There was none. I waited a bit more, then I said hello. Then waited again. Perhaps their system was malfunctioning? There was a line forming behind me so I went to the window. Before I could even get a word out at the window, I was met with such disdain and vitriol that it set the tone for the rest of the interaction. I was immediately informed that I was in the wrong spot? And because of that they didn't hear me? Interesting, since I could hear them on the other side moving things around? I was also compared to the person behind me, who she COULD hear, and therefore got his order in before me. Weird. Well, I gave my order and when the attendant read it back to me, it was wrong. Weird. I corrected her, and she made the changes. At this point, it was clear that she hated both me AND her job. Sweetie, I know how you feel. I went there and the "Hot Now" sign was on, ordered a dozen of assorted donuts. All of them were ice cold. Like literally cold, like they had been in a refrigerator. Not even room temperature. Almost everytime I pass by the light is on, so one day I decided to try them there was no line and my order came out quick, when I opened the box they looked way to hot like they where nuked in the microwave, boy was I glad I didn't leave the parking lot because when I bit into it that's exactly what it taste like old piping hot microwave doughnuts.
