First time coming to a stand alone location. This one is cool because it has a glass wall where you can see the donut machine and see the donuts being made but sadly it wasn't on cause they weren't making donuts at the time so that sucks. I ordered their new chocolate chip cookie dough donut; it was ok but I'm a chocoholic and didn't like the lack of chocolate. It was MUCH more dough than chocolate chips. It was also a bit dry despite there being glaze so it may have been sitting in the case for a while. Everyone says Krispy Kreme is "so good" but I guess that's only if the donuts are fresh and warm. I've been to this particular location many times since it's been open, but for the past few years this location has been going downhill. Now we're nowhere near pre-pandemic life, and quite honestly I don't think we'll ever get back to that. The pandemic put a smack down on the entire world, and I'm taking that into consideration as I'm writing this. Over the past 3 years this place has gone from exceptional service to shut down, then reopened but it just never seemed to get fully restart. There never seemed to be enough people working there. Simples walk in orders that once took maybe 10 minutes (orders of donuts and coffee) now take upwards of 20-30 minutes. And the whole atmosphere seemed really stale. The last time I was at this location, I placed an online order. I figured I'd order, go in and pick it up and go back to the office. This particular order was my treat for my coworkers. Unfortunately when I arrived the doors were locked. I knocked and a lady came to the door and very rudely basically screamed that the lobby was closed. I calmly let her know I had placed an online order and it's already been paid for and I just needed to pick it up. Her reply was "GO TO THE DRIVE THROUGH!!!!!" So I got back in my car and got in the drive through line. There were already 8 cars in front of me, so I waited. 20 minutes later we still haven't moved. Then I realized people were placing orders and waiting for them to be made AT THE WINDOW. Another 10 minutes passed and we finally moved ONE car. I'm also watching others customers so to the locked doors and seeing the people inside scream at them too. Well, I've had enough so I call customer service, give them my order number and ask for a refund and I didn't have several hours it was apparently going to take yo wait for my order. I gave them all the details of what was going on and I got a full refund. So I left and went to Dunkin'. Which isn't a favorite place of mine but I got basically the same order (and it was a couple $$ less). At any rate, I really hope things turn around for this company because I still think they have the best donuts. read more

Horrible service. I was trying to place an order via drive thru and was rushed. They kept telling me they were out of everything. So my wife and I started heading in, only to have some dude come and ask us if we had masks. No worries, even if the statewide mandate is lifted its still a private company, and we're willing to wear them if you want us too. The only hang up is we had walked there from about ten minutes away, and forgotten our masks back at our car. So we asked if they had masks that we could use, and the guy says "no!" Very rudely. We were kind of taken aback so we just said okay, then we stood outside to try and figure out where to go. She then comped my wife a free coffee, was very kind and great at engaging us in conversation! I voted today, and while in line, I overheard some guy talking about getting a free donut at Kristy Kreme. I love donuts and KK, so I figured I would take advantage. I strolled in with my "I voted" sticker adorned to my shirt and asked for the donut. They said I could have any one I wanted. On October 5 around 9pm we purchased 2 dozen doughnuts which are not cheap these days. Total cost was $30. I hesitated to write a review because I know it is hard to find good help these days but the doughnuts were awful. There is no way that the staff did not know they were serving subpar food. I wish I had taken a picture of them when we first got them. The dough was terrible and the chocolate was not even the right color. Needless to say they did not taste good. We live thirty minutes away so taking them back right away was not convenient . Definitely not going back to this location any time soon. read more

Today I went into the store with a friend very excited about the buy a dozen get a dozen glazed free promo. I walked up to the counter and asked to make sure that the promo was being honored at that location and they said yes. I get to the checkout with Sandra and was told that because I wasn't a rewards member I could not get the promo, I then asked how I could become a member and the woman told me there was nothing that I could do today, it is too late to sign up and get promo (which proved not to be true when I left and downloaded the app just to see and the offer was there.) I said that if it was just for rewards members and I could not join the rewards today that the woman behind the counter should have let me know that it was for rewards members only when I asked about the promo, the woman ringing me up was very rude and short with me the entire time saying that what the lady behind the counter said didn't matter because she was the one ringing me up. I ended up paying for both me and my friends donuts since we were told neither of us could get the promo, and bought 3 dozen donuts, instead of us each getting the buy one get one like we thought we would be getting. When leaving the store the woman started loudly laughing and telling the other employees how it was funny that I was upset about not getting the promo and how she didn't care, which both me and my friend heard. I don't believe that I have ever dealt with such a rude cashier before, she simply could have helped me about by instructing me to download the app to get the promo but instead was rude and demeaning, telling me that it was tough luck and there was nothing I could do to get the promo. Very upset and disappointed in the customer service I received today. *Update* the manager Shemila called me back and was very apologetic and sweet, saying she didn't know why I wasn't simply told how to get the promo at the cash register but that she was so sorry about the service I received. She offered to make it right and told me to come in tomorrow while she is working to get a refund. Grateful for the kind, understanding, and helpful interaction with the the manager. I understand there's food and employee shortages. None of the employees were rude, but I do think they need a new sound system for their drive through. We ordered a half dozen plus an apple fritter and a frozen latte. Left with the half dozen, and not even the right kind of half dozen. They didn't charge us for the other stuff even though they repeated it back to us.
