Came here recently to enjoy an iced tea and a scone on a hot day, and had a good experience. First off, the staff here is great. They really seem to care about each other and customers, and they were all really courteous and quick. They also are attentive and kept the tables, counter, and bathroom really clean. I don't go to a lot of Starbucks so it's hard to compare, but the only thing I noticed was that it was loud inside. Not just the blenders, but the music was cranking too. So I wouldn't recommend it as a place to work or have a conversation with someone, but it's a nice place to be if you want good service and a clean place to sit for a bit. read more

I used to come here a lot, but not anymore. I'd sometimes buy chips and guac while I was studying but I had an employee demand I buy something or leave. What an asinine policy. These ladies were so helpful. It was red cup day (surprise to me) and I was probably a difficult customer. I wanted a holiday cup but don't like sweet beverages. They helped tone down the sweetness as much as possible while still qualifying as a "holiday" beverage. They should make green grinch cups for those of us who want to be festive but prefer to drink dark and bitter coffee. Haha. I'm super grateful for their patience. This Starbucks really has gone downhill and fast. I've lived near this location for over 4 years now and up until about a year ago it's really done nothing but get worse. I think customers are starting to see this as well because over a year ago if I didn't mobile order, there's NO way I would be able to get a coffee without waiting in a huge line. Now, there's NEVER a line. I think people are starting to get the picture. I was on a quick coffee run and was hoping to get it via online and to get points, but for some reason, it was turned off ‍. I was on a tight schedule so I needed to hurry. I also tried ordering from this location earlier today and online ordering was available, but later in the day (1100), it wasn't available. Oh well, I really needed a pick-me-up with chart training for the rest of my day. I drive off and, of course, it was X amount of cars deep in the drive they so walking in was the best option. Plus, walking is good for me since Covid started and I've gotten a little fluffy. Luckily, there was only one person in line and I was excited. I get in line and Murphy must have been keeping a close eye on me because this, umm, type of person who wears a certain type of hair style, has her kids, and who was not wearing a mask was having the only cashier ring up her X amount of gift cards that each had a small amount of dollars all onto her app. Once the gift cards were done, this person asked what seasonal drinks they carried. Curse you, Murphy! There were a few other baristas, and I used to be one, that were already running around so I didn't want to bother them. Once this person in front of me was rung up, I quickly ordered my drink, and I wonder if the other baristas saw me (I was wearing my scrubs) and no exaggeration, within 30 seconds, my drink was ready. I ordered a venti strawberry açaí since my favorite, Very Berry Hibiscus, is temporarily out, I usually go for mango dragonfruit or the strawberry. I was impressed and thankful they got me out so quickly. Granted, my drink does not need certain creams, mixing, all the fancy sprinkles and jazz, I was in and out. TL; DR: I guess they online ordering at times, I'm not really sure. Overall, it's a Starbucks, it's gonna be busy. However, if you go in, you'll usually get it faster. As good a Starbucks as any, though in a really bad location if you're looking to make a quick trip. It may be right off the interstate but it's not that easy or quick to get to, especially if there is heavy traffic. This is my absolute favorite Starbucks! The crew here is SO friendly and they always go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They tend to make conversation in the drive thru and really seem to love their jobs. Speaking of jobs, this location is near mine- that's why I tend to frequent it so much. However, The coronavirus has me working from home and I will drive the ten minutes that are now out of my way, to go here just because they are the best. read more

Black Friday shopping had the streets crazy and this location was very busy. The drive thru was so long I went inside for 2 drinks and a sandwich. Everyone seemed very calm but working diligently, the manager Shae, (unsure of her title) seemed to be a leader as she kept positively reinforcing the staff which was nice to hear in that hectic environment! NEGATIVE stars if I could. First of all we pull up and the very first thing they say is "we're accepting tips today". No "how are you?" Not even asking what we would like. Nothing just want money. Tips are based off service, you need to serve first also tips are for those who don't make hourly or go above and beyond. Starbucks employees make hourly. Then we order a HOT caramel cappuccino with an extra shot of espresso. They hand us a COLD vanilla latte. So yall are asking for tips and not even making the orders right THEN when told that's not what we ordered they argue with us. They said "a cappuccino is hot" -- yes ma'am that is correct that's why we asked for hot. Then they proceeded to say us adding an espresso shot makes it a non cappuccino. An espresso shot can be added to any coffee shop order that's why it's its own charge. Then they tell us if we want our order corrected we have to pull up. We park, go inside to find the employees and manager talking bad about us and complaining. I truly feel we were never wrong and this was awful service from Starbucks especially with how much they charge. Also beyond awful service demanding for a tip as soon as you see us. Sad. read more

Been going to this Starbucks pretty regularly and up until today I would have given them a 5 star rating. First the good. The baristas are extremely friendly and there are lots of options for seating at this Starbucks. They have plenty of little tables and some comfortable chairs as well as a big table which has a power strip running underneath it so its really handy for charging your devices. Now the bad. Today as I was sitting and working on my Mac, there were like little fruit flies circling around my head and screen. I wasn't the only one as the lady sitting next to me was swatting at them as well. Their interior design concept is inviting, has wood tone colours and carefully places their premium priced items for sale. This is the drink location of choice for many yuppies and soccer moms alike! When I started coming to Starbucks I would order caramel macchiatos and their other iterations of sweet coffee drinks. There are 7 baristas behind the counter, 4 of which are busting their butts, and the other three have no sense of hustle or urgency. I was the first in line to order a black iced coffee, but it took 4minutes before Charity took my order. By that time the line grew increasingly long. Last time I ordered through the drive-thru and didn't bother to tell me they were out of black tea for the black tea lemonade until I got to the window. This Starbucks made our whole trip! We swung by the drive through on our way to our next stop on our road trip. The gentleman at the drive through window chatted with us about where we are from and where we are headed. He gave us the best advice about visiting the Charleston area, and Kiawah Island. Because of him, we were able to see dolphins on our trip! He left such a lasting impression on us, and was the nicest person we met on our trip. This location can be seen from 85 in both directions and that's the misleading part. While it seems close, the traffic on Woodruff Road is legendary in these parts! The locals won't be road raging or honking horns as they know what they're getting themselves into when they drive into this part of town. If you're coming in for a caffeine or pastry fix during the 8-9am or 4-6pm time period... you're in for a gorgeous mega delay. Now, the service and speed inside the Starbucks is just fine and the service is your typical fairly friendly Starbucks. Just sit and relax and make note of the high number of BMWs and Buick Rendezvous on the road. BMWs are understandable because of the nearby assembly plant, but the Buick Rendezvous!? Overall bad experience. I purchased a drink for my wife, a bakery item, and a blended beverage for myself. I waited ~8 minutes as many people behind me were served before I was. Eventually they got around to tell me that they didn't have the ingredients needed to make my drink. I had to ask for a refund and they seemed glad to see me go even though I was never unpleasant to the staff and I tipped them before the transaction was completed. It is connected to Zoe's Kitchen so the parking spaces are rare to come by. It is right beside hwy 85 so the woodruff rd traffic is horrible right in that area which is a no brainer. I've been to this Starbucks multiple times hoping that "surly this time I will have a good experience". Well, today was the last straw. Each time I go here, my order is incorrect, and it takes me much longer than any other Starbucks to get what I order! Two days ago I went here for a coffee and a turkey bacon Sandwich(because they didn't have the sandwich I ordered, not their fault, but still doesn't help the situation). Got to work and the sandwich was all over the place and I had to redo the sandwich to be able to actually eat it. My Venti coffee I asked for "a little room for cream" and was given close to half a cup! This morning I got there, clearly a new person running the register, but I ordered a Venti drink and received a Grande. Normally I would have had them remake the drink, but it would have made me late for work and I'm not going to allow someone else's terrible work habits to effect mine. Customer service, attention to detail, accurate and timely delivery, apologizing for your mistakes and making it right, all part of NORMAL business practice. Not present here. Very poorly run, very poorly managed and no accountability. Take an extra couple of minutes and drive the other Starbucks on Woodruff rd or Pelham rd or Haywood rd. Its worth avoiding. read more
