Krispy Kreme has the best donuts! I love how light and fluffy they are, and how you can always get a hot and fresh glazed donut. The workers there are always nice and efficient too. I love how you can watch the donuts go through the conveyor belt because it makes the space feel so cool. Love it!

Kristy Crème donuts are the best! We made a last minute run to the Krispy Kreme donut location in Omaha, Nebraska. Service was still excellent and the donuts were delicious. They even gave us an extra dozen. It was drive thru.

We live right near a Krispy Kreme location and it is absolutely dangerous to be so close. Of all the donut spots in town, Krispy Kreme is still the donut shop to which all other donut shops are measured against, for me. I am a purist and the best Krispy Kreme donuts to get (in my opinion) are just the classic original glazed, the glazed with chocolate icing, and the filled Chocolate Iced (but only with the fluffy Kreme filled, not Custard). When you hear "original glazed" that probably sounds boring and not too fancy, but the glaze they use is expertly coated on a soft little flaky donut. It makes it taste all delicately made and you almost feel bad biting into the perfectly coated icing (but not too bad that you don't scarf it all down). What a lot of other donut shops do nowadays is put seventy thousand toppings on each donut, making it way too sweet and hard to eat around all those toppings. Krispy Kreme does do a few little collab menu items every once in a while, but they always have their normal tasty offerings, so you can skip the fancy ones and still be happy. The one special menu I wanted to try recently was the partnership with Biscoff. I fly a LOT, and always horde the Biscoff cookies (ask for extras, take my husband's, etc), so I definitely wanted to try these. They definitely had a lot of Biscoff flavor, with some having crumbled Biscoff cookies on them even. My favorite was the most simple here too. The glazed donut with Biscoff Cookie Butter icing. So simple but yummy with the added Biscoff flavor in a thin topping instead of all the junk on top. They also recently started offering mini versions of their classic assorted donuts, so you can eat five and not feel bad (I never feel bad anyway when it comes to Krispy Kreme LOL) Krispy Kreme has been around forever - and ever since I've been going there, the quality has never dipped. These little heavenly morsels are always a great option for an event, work function, or just a treat for yourself!

I tend not to review chains and franchises very often but I had a wonderful experience at this Krispy Kreme this morning. Of course my son loved watching the doughnuts being made as we came in. Then we had excellent customer service from a gal with a two-color hairstyle whose positive energy was catching. She was so fun and upbeat, and very patient with my son picking out doughnuts and changing his mind. The doughnuts were warm and delicious, as usual.

My friend and I went to Krispy Kreme, and it was such a great experience! Right when we walked in, they offered us a free fresh sample, still warm, which was such a nice touch. I got a dozen of the classic glazed donuts, and they were amazing--fresh, warm, and totally hit the spot. I would definitely recommend grabbing donuts from here for a group of friends or family. It's so worth the calories, and you can't beat that fresh, melt-in-your-mouth taste!

First time actually going to a Krispy Kreme. Uneventful but hey here I am telling you about it. Went through the drive thru. Quick and to the point service but the only problem was a I ordered a cinnamon sugar donut ( which was repeated 3 times) which I haven't had in years and I received and cinnamon powdered cake donut (even after repeating it 3 times), which I took a bite of and did not like lol. I'm going to assume they don't sell the cinnamon sugar ones anymore. If so it'd be nice if they could just say so. But the glazed was good as always. I'll just stick to that.

The last time I stopped in, though, I specifically inquired which were freshest, and purchased those (two plain glazed and a chocolate cake Huskers doughnut), and they tasted good, but still not my favorite doughnut due to the density of the dough. The first time I stopped by, the doughnuts were all stale, and the vanilla-glazed was super stale; you can see how the icing has broken in the picture, it's been sitting out so long. The regular doughnuts and the cake doughnuts were way too close texturally due to the staleness of the dough, and the plain doughnuts' dough consistency, which is thicker than normal at Hurts. You can see in the picture where the doughnuts are cut and stacked together how similar the consistency is between cake and regular. But the flavor was where it was lacking: parched, dry, crumbly (the regular doughnuts), and stale, flagging flavor in the cake doughnuts. The toppings, I will say, were still good (thanks to the preservative power of sugar!), but the doughnut's kind of the bread and butter of a doughnut place, no? Anyway, they all went into the trash. :(( The second time I went, having asked about fresh ones, the flavor was good and the texture way better. But the density of the dough at Hurts is still a bit too thick and toothsome for my preference. I would go here again, and order with caution: better inventory control needs to be established to prevent the kind of experience I had the first time. The ambiance here is really nice, though, and there is ample seating for enjoying treats together. Definitely unique in the doughnut world, and thanks for it! Also, the employees have all been super friendly. Last time, Marcellus helped us, and his good humor and upbeat attitude were so appreciated!

Just plain and simple (and good!) donuts. We have been to Pettit's a lot over the years obviously, but I never thought to review them until now, on our last visit. The interior is simple, just like classic bakeries from my childhood. You can smell the baking donuts and treats and it brings you right back to those memories. Katie was the attendant behind the glass case on our last visit and she was super nice and took care of us even though we didn't know exactly what we wanted when we came in. It was close to closing time when we decided to pop in, so I did have some concerns about freshness. But that was no issue! They were all still super fresh and delicious. We got about 8 donuts and rolls and each and every one was fabulous. Their classic cake donuts are my favorite, with the white, chocolate, or maple frosting. They remind me of the little donuts you'd get after church with your parents, when they serve coffee and donuts in the parish center - LOL! The filled/long John donuts are my husband's favorite, and they are also super tasty. The white fluff that Pettit's uses in those is heavenly.
