This was my second time trying LaMar's Donuts, both times have been at events that brought them in so I can't speak on the service. I am always on the lookout for a good donut, which had me excited to try a new option given this location is a drive from my house. My first donut was a little on the drier side for a cake donut. I had hoped the blueberry would have more "blueberry" flavor to it but it sadly left me wanting more. My second choice was much better: a double chocolate frosted. This was very fresh, soft, and delicious! A sweet treat just how I'd expect a double chocolate donut to taste. I will give LaMar's the benefit of the doubt here since I did not select my own donut choices in shop. However, I have favorites at other donut shops. read more

I have heard much about this place and always wanted to try it. I had heard good things about it so when I saw it on my way to pick up an item I was buying from someone on FB marketplace - I had to turn around and give it a shot. It's really out of the way and you don't even really know it's there until you pass it. I think I was most surprised by the prices. They are so high, I felt like I was all the way out this way and had found them that I had to try something, but honestly was really reluctant. I ended up getting just a standard maple donut and I have to say that not only was I disappointed in the price - this was not a good donut. It seemed more dense than I expected it to be and it definitely did not feel like it was worth the price I paid. This will not be a place I go out of my way to try again. Very expensive, but great pastries, clean place, the Gen Manager waited on us and went way out of his way to get the filling we wanted in a long John. The servings are definitely larger than most Donut Shops which helps justify the price. Great tasting pastries obviously quality ingredients so I guess you get what you pay for. Ordered my son's giant birthday donut 3 days prior to date needed. I go in to pick it up and the manager says oh well have no more big boxes I can cut it in half and put in 2 smaller boxes. I tell him no and he says only way you can take is is a tray with a garbage bag over it. Seriously?! What atrocious customer service. This review is solely based on the doughnut we got. I've never had their coffee or anything else. We got a coupon in the mail for a free pumpkin spice donut with no other purchase required. Since this place always has a line around the building for the drive through we decided to use it. When we showed up around 11am they weren't busy. Husband went inside and got the doughnut. Said they were nice. The doughnut itself is meh. Way too sugary, not a lot of flavor. It looked "pumpkin spicy", but that's about it. Had glaze and cream cheese frosting. It was a bit much. Husband said it was good. I give it 2/5 he says 4/5 so I'll split it down the middle. There are better places to get doughnuts in town if this is their standard. This was my first visit to LaMar's donuts off of Harrison. The parking is not the best during busy travel times and there is a drive thru window at this location but I wanted to walk in and see the donuts and facility. The place is clean, tables and chairs are clean and clear from debris. The main worker had to shuttle back and forth from the drive thru window to people in line. Luckily, the wait was minimal. I went for the Bavarian donut and Apple fritter. The fritter was large but did lack a crust and apple pieces other competitors would include. There's a lot of promotion here of the donut quality, and it is not without justification. I had a Lamar bar filled with white fluff. It's excellent. The dough is light, not overly sweet, and has a smooth texture. The fluff is also smooth and, well, fluffy. It's a great combination, and the chocolate frosting tops it off well. No regret about not leaving room for cream in the coffee. The simple house blend is a very nice offering. The coffee and donut go together well. read more

Not sure how they stay open until 8:00 pm. I brought my 4 year old daughter here at 10:45 in the morning and they had 2 donuts left. The workers handled cash multiple times for drive through and never washed their hands before touching coffee and donuts . This was my first trip to LaMars and I will say I was certainly curious about this place. I had past by it several times and had seen how busy it would get in the early mornings. We drove through the drive thru this day and I was so confused as to what to get, I had no idea what their donuts looked like or tasted like. I chose the knot donut and the LaMars bar chocolate fluff. The first donut I tried was the knot and if you can see from my photo it's pretty huge! I had never seen a donut like this and perhaps my experiences with fancy/unique donuts are limited but this was a pretty rad experience for me! I love how generous they are with their donuts and the pricing, a little over a dollar, wasn't too bad for what you get. The donut was delicious! It didn't give me that weird feeling on the roof of my mouth like some donuts do. It had the perfect amount of glazed sugar to dough ratio. The second donut I got was the LaMars bar chocolate fluff. This was just as great! It's pretty much a long john but bigger and the chocolate fluff was delicious! They definitely know how to put this yummy stuff in the long john because it was throughout the bar not just at the top! A little pet peeve of my in regards to filled donuts. Since I've been here I've been fondly thinking of the next time I can treat myself to their yummy donuts! I think that you will like them too. read more

LaMar's donuts are some of the best and I have enjoyed them for 20+ years across several states. I hadn't had a LaMar's for several months and recently visited the Omaha location. I was stunned to find what a LaMar's donut costs these days! $4.59 for a specialty donut is just crazy! Also, $2.59 for a standard donut is also way out of line. I know there is inflation in the world, and LaMar's donuts are awesome, but the pricing has gone crazy and I'm not sure I will visit there again.
