We happened to park near Frazzleberries, which I'd consider a more upscale souvenir shop. They have lots of high-quality goods -- gifts, magnets, clothing, etc. I was looking at a different shirt when a friend pointed out one that was SUPER soft. I tried it on and was immediately sold. I called the store and explained that I wanted to return the shirts for size and if I included a Fed Ex return envelope would they exchange....without hesitation, they agreed. I was told to address the envelope to Rhonda. After receiving the shirts, Rhonda called me and explained that she could not replace the shirts exactly.... color and logo were different. I said that was fine, I was more concerned about size. Within two days, I received the right shirts. Customer Service was amazing......I am most grateful!

As the clerk was checking me out, I was putting the sweatshirt in a bag and I noticed the sweatshirt had a huge hole right in the front! I let the clerk know and she looked at me and said sorry, No refunds. I said you have got to be kidding me just give me the $10 back and cancel the transaction. She said it was against their policy. She did say I could exchange it, but it was the last sweatshirt like this so not really an option I wanted. I was told I could go talk to the manager over at Scrimshaw. She literally laughed at me! Prices are on the high side so plan accordingly but I feel the quality and uniqueness is worth it. If you see something, regret not getting it, you can either go back or order it to be shipped right to you. While I throughly enjoy a niche market, products and support the message of this shop, it definitely has very strong messaging that some might not like. However, that's what I love about Newport! No one is afraid to stand on their beliefs and open a store with those beliefs front and center. I am definitely going to enjoy this establishment again! Especially on a nice warm summer day. I cannot wait to buy a few more things. Only draw back is the store is small and if you have any type of mobility device like a scooter or wheelchair, you are not going to be able to maneuver around the store and handicapped parking is at quite a distance. It reminds me of a shop that the women of the Gilded Age or Ryan Murphy's Feud would peruse on a leisurely stroll, dressed in their designer finest and browsing for new decor for their summer cottages. Lou Lou's has everything that a fine home could want for furnishings - whimsical needlepoint pillows, gorgeous dishware (I loved the black and white checkered collection), and even trendy mahjongg sets. The items here make excellent hostess gifts, and everything seems to be hand selected and highly curated. Amy, the young woman working when I visited, was delightful as well. I can see she has a bright future in interior design and was welcoming and calm, adding to the lovely experience of stumbling upon this truly special Bellevue boutique.
