I purchased a groupon for a full foil and haircut at this salon. Booking an appointment online was very easy and convenient, and the reminder text was an appreciated plus. I arrived at my appointment around fifteen minutes before the salon opened. I was immediately happily greeted by the owner who opened up shop early for me to come in. I was offered coffee or water while i waited which was nice. My stylist was yessica and she did a phenomenal job. She really listened to what I wanted and achieved the exact color blonde I was looking for. I am thrilled! As a busy working mom I don't get much time to myself so this trip to the Kristen salon was a nice treat that exceeded my expectations. It is a fun atmosphere where all the stylists were friendly and their good moods infectious! I will definitely return! read more

I've had consistently good service and results. My stylist is Leana and she is the best! I was able to make a Sat. appt on the previous Thursday and she even called me Sat AM to let me know she could take me earlier! I had a highlight and the Brazilian Keratin express. I am giving two stars only because my cut was great. Otherwise, this review would be a 0. This was my first time and my last visiting this salon. The salon lists their price for a Cut and Blow Dry on their website as $32*. There is an * a little further down the page that says "*If additional product is needed pricing will vary." At the time of my service, there was no other notice to state that $32 was a base price depending on the skill of your stylist. When I called to book my appointment, I was not informed that the stylist who would be cutting my hair may be more expensive than the price listed on the website. Flash forward to my appointment. The stylist scheduled to do my hair had called me the night before to ask if I could come in a half hour earlier than I was scheduled because she needed to leave early to pick up her daughter. I called back and left a message that this was fine, but I might be a couple minutes late because I was coming from another appointment. I arrived 10 minutes late and the stylist rushed me into the washing station. She washed my hair in less than 2 minutes without even putting a smock over me, and then rushed me to her cutting station. She then very briefly asked me what I wanted before getting to work. She did a great job, and my hair came out beautiful, but she definitely rushed me through the experience. I was finished with the entire cut and blow dry in 30 minutes. When I went to pay, she told me it would be $50! I was very surprised at this price, but I didn't want to make a scene at the salon, as I figured maybe I had misread the website. I went back home and double checked. I was not mistaken. It was listed as $32.00*. When I called back to ask why I had been charged so much, the receptionist (who was very friendly and understanding) explained that the $32 was a base price only and that the next level stylist up charges $42. And the next level up from that is $50. I was not informed of this any time during the booking process and not given the option to choose which level of stylist I would like to see. Bad business. I will not be going back. The salon has since added a note to their website that reads: "*all prices may vary depending on stylist and hair length." read more

I purchased a groupon for this salon as I am new to the area and still finding new places. This was a gem. At first I was nervous when told the groupon was only good for a junior staff member. I had an appointment with TJ this morning at 10, I got there and was told he wasn't working today. I spoke to TJ yesterday about my appointment, I had a death in my family so I couldn't make it yesterday. He told me that the AC wasn't working so coming in today would be better. He offered several available times he had. The girl that was there when I went in said "O he was supposed to call you. Very unprofessional for an "upscale" hair salon. This place is a scam. The $25 gift card they promote on their website NEVER comes (I applied for mine over 3 months ago!). And when you ask them about the discount, they tell you you need to receive it before you can redeem it (but it never comes). Before you get ANY service done, make sure you have them give you a price quote first. If you don't, you will wind up with an expensive surprise at their checkout. The prices on their website are not accurate and they will charge you something completely different based on their arbitrary reasoning. This salon doesn't care about customer service or that there are 5 other salons on this same stretch. read more

My first visit here was great and my stylist definitely did a great job with my thick hair. But the second time I went back I waited for ten minutes past my appointment while listening to the employees at the front desk bash celebrities. They were so rude and distasteful and my stylist didn't even say anything to me when she walked by me after I had already been waiting for 10 minutes. I walked out! read more

I was looking for a new stylist when I got an email from LivingSocial for the salon. I figured I would give it a try because it was a great value. I had Michelle as my stylist. She worked with me of what would look good one me for highlights and my cut. She was very nice and I loved the way my hair came out. I am a very picky person when it comes to my hair color/cut. The owner was also there and was very friendly making everyone coffees and handing out snacks. I had a very pleasant experience and look forward to my next appointment! read more

Don't ever and I mean EVER get your hair done at this place. They did a real botch job on my hair recently! Very crooked cut, textured only one side of my head, color only lasted barely 4 weeks and would not give me back any money. I did complain and went in and got a hair cut that was suppose to fix the bad one but only made it worst! Just spent another $120.00 to get the color and cut fixed and a total of 2 inches off the length of my hair. Ladies --- stay away!!!! read more

Horrible service. Went there once and actually sat there while one of the hair stylist (whom wasn't even doing my hair) walked over and literally smelled my hair and then made a disgusted face. This made me extremely uncomfortable so when I asked what was wrong she said "nothing I can just smell the over the counter products in your hair" all disgusted. So unbelievably rude.
