Kristi has been doing my perms since 2017. and I have never had a bad experience. She listens to what you want the final result to be and has a conversation with you about how to get that look. She's given me about 20 perms and all have turned out just as she described and were exactly what I wanted. Making an appointment with Kristi is easy (she responds quickly and is flexible) and she is reliable. Excellent communication all around. What sets Kristi's perms apart from other stylists is that she uses an air machine that closes the cuticle and makes sure the hair doesn't go through that two weeks stage where the curls seem more frizzy. There is no frizz, no first few days of wanting to hide your new perm under a scarf until it settles down. This also means you can wash your hair 24 hours after the perm, not the usual 48. A perm is a long appointment, so you spend a couple hours with the stylist. Kristi not only does a great job on your hair, she is pleasant company. I was very pleased to have Kristi work on my hair. Now I have very tightly curled hair. I can never do anything with it. So, we decided to get a relaxing perm, where we would just open the curls a bit more, instead of straighten my hair completely. My appointment was 5 pm. Kristi decided to do a test run and thank God she thought of it, cause we decided to go with a bigger curl than the one we initially agreed on. My husband passed by to pick up the kids. He usually goes to China town in SF for his haircut, yeah crazy man! He got his first real good looking haircut! He is very sensitive about his hair thinning and Kristi cut it in such a way that he had more hair than usual without it looking uncut. He feels less like a bolding man LOL My daughter saw the bling strands (synthetic colorful hairs you attach to your hair and it looks cool) and wanted some, so she also got Kristi to put the hairs in her hair. OK, so the husband and children finally leave and it is past 7 pm now ... I feel horrible, cause we are keeping Kristi from her family and my hair has not been touched yet. We end up staying there until close to 11pm. She does not charge me more and my hair looks real nice! She is professional, friendly and charges good prices. I will see her again :) read more

I highly recommend Kristi for all your hair stylist needs (cut, color, extensions, special services like deep conditioning, weddings, special events, consultation, etc.). I have had so many troubles in the past getting a good color and cut, until I met Kristi. She is a good listener and is very interested in your happiness. Another thing I appreciate is that she takes a conservative approach. She would prefer to cut your hair a little at a time, rather than do something drastic that you might regret. You can always cut more hair, if you aren't happy, but she cannot glue it back on. I like this about, Kristi. I think it's a great approach and and great way to take care of her clients.
