Needed some red potatoes yesterday and it was late in the day so I chose to go to the closest grocery which is the Kroger on highway 9 and Frances Rd. Mistake! After selecting my one item (bulk red potatoes), made my way to check out. Line at check-out was long and slow moving. There was ONE cashier, no baggers and no one in sight to help. The cashier was apparently new as she kept redoing her entries on the cash register. Could have saved time by going to the further-away Publix! read more

Here we go....I've tried & tried & TRIED to give this Kroger the benefit of the doubt but they are just consistently full of crap!!! How is it that I can go into (what's suppose to be an upscale Kroger) and be denied fresh Boars head pastrami because no freakin body is back there at 4:45 pm!!! The past 3 times I've used this Kroger I've had items ring up for a higher amount than was posted. Not a "sale" item, just regular items ringing up for more than they should. 3 times in a row this has happened. The worker up front will come put in a discount code for me but it's getting ridiculous that I have to wait for them to fix the price, every single time. Not to mention I have to go over everything I ring up to make sure I'm not overpaying. Would not recommend. read more

I think this is the best Kroger around -- the meat department has the best product and deals. It has a good selection of organic produce and the Starbucks is very popular. There is also a large cheese counter. It is a slightly smaller location (with limited beer and wine selection compared to larger locations) and therefore usually less crowded. You can pull up and park near the door! It's my go-to! read more

Issues abound at this Kroger. The most common is outdated price tags--you think you're buying something on sale until you see the register receipt. Next, limited checkout lanes open--if you feel like you are being herded towards self-checkout, you're right. This used to be an excellent store but now I generally try to minimize my time here. I might pick up a few items with sushi but, in general, there are better places to shop. read more

One of the best Krogers around. Good points: A large selection of organic foods and produce. They always have my favorite GF bread Pure Knead in stock while many of the other Krogers nearby are always out... Clean and large hot bar and ready to eat meals. Their sushi bar is one of the few that has read to eat maki rolls. (You know the rolls where they wrap the seaweed on the outside.) They have a great selection of flowers and the woman that works in the floral department is a total sweetheart! I have 2 complaints 1. There are so many other businesses located in the same shopping center-you really need to pay attention when you are driving in the parking lot..... 2. Their Starbucks seems to always have the slowest batista working there! This Kroger is a few minutes down from my office so I'm here quite often. I always have a good experience here! read more

I will never shop at kroger again. They only have self checkout and NO ONE to talk to. Spent an hour shopping for things just to realize I need to scan over 60 items myself, using a tiny surface with no room to put anything. This place is an absolute joke. This Kroger is pretty close to my house, however I usually opt to go to the Windward location (because it's new, clean, and has lots of yummy specialty items). However, they are currently remodeling (so I would definitely recommend you don't go now, as of thanksgiving), so I bet when this opens it is going to be awesome!! Recently remodeled, this Kroger had a second "Grand Opening" this month. The flower department was beautiful. Great selection in cheese department. Lots of prepared food options, from salad bar to hot food bar to olive bar and I am sure others that I missed. Decent produce and great health food sections. Store was clean and bright. Big aisles, so there shouldn't be too many collisions in the store. Hope they keep the place looking this good after all the brass leave town. read more

I try to love this store but I think I've given up hope. Sure, for everyday grocery needs and the gas pumps make it an easy destination, but when you've shopped at places like Wegman's, I feel like I'm settling. Yesterday I wanted to stop and get a salad because I vaguely remembered there was one at this store. Well, kinda. There was some very basic salad bar toppings but at 7:10 PM, nothing to scoop or pick with. Nobody to be found that could help. I'll stop here if I have to. If it's convenient. The poor cashier customer interaction behaviors at Kroger is the final straw that breaks the camel's back for customer loyalty. Publix gets my business thanks to Windward on Rt 9 Kroger cashier, Helen's silent rudeness toward my wife earlier today. Helen's silence and "not-my-job" ambivalence at checkout is the compelling event driving a 15 year customer from ever returning. I did call the manager who was nice enough, but could not remember my name at the end of the conversation. Publix beats Kroger in every measure. Transferring my prescription from Kroger to Publix today. Rating: one star because no option for zero stars are available. Literally the worst grocery store I have ever been to. And it's not just one or two or three incidents, it is multiple ones. The most recent, which came after buying bad meat and chicken, was a cake from their bakery department. i guess I learned my lesson and to never buy one out of the case. No clue of when it was made. It looked really good and I am sure it was three days earlier when it was made but by the time we bought it and got home to eat it, this cake was uneatable. You can tell it had been made days earlier and the icing was hard, like literally HARD. Our fault for buying a cake at 8:30 at night but it ruined my daughter's birthday party. I contacted Kroger, got a generic response from them but never heard a word from the store or bakery manager. Contacted Kroger again to let them know that apparently the store management doesn't care and never heard from them again. So that is it, we are done shopping there. We will drive further and pay a little bit more to do all of our grocery shopping at Kroger. But we'll still buy our gas from this Kroger since it is so cheap. read more

DO NOT USE THE PHARMACY AT KROGER! They fill your prescriptions with cheap generics from disreputable Indian pharmaceutical companies like "Aurobindo Pharma" and "Dr. Reddy's". Check your medicine cabinet. Look at the labels. Look them up on the Internet! I refilled a regular script at Kroger recently and got some weird new generic made by Aurobindo that made me sick and didn't work! My doctor told me not to go to Kroger for prescriptions anymore. It's not just the pharmacy that screws you either. There is something funky with that Kroger meat. The beef and poultry are not good. There's something fishy with it. ...literally, we bought some chicken that smelled like fish! What the heck? And the beef is just not good. It tastes and smells weird. There must be some kind of filler or other unnatural tampering going on. Ya know what else? I was sick of having to carry around a damn Kroger card anyway. Other stores don't require me to carry around their silly card. read more

Stopped here for gas only. Probably could use a couple other tanks to meet demand. I had to wait and someone else was waiting behind me to get to a pump. The lot is tight so if the tanker is there, it can be hard to get around. Prices are great - some of the lowest prices for the area. And definitely better than the city. read more

I drove up to use the Coinstar machine and after I cashed out I went to the Customer Service Station at 9:40pm. I was told that they "just shut down." That's it. I then called and asked the Manager of the store what time that department closes. He said 10pm...but tonight they had to close early due to a shortage or people. The store was literally dead and I was standing right there. That lack of effort is why Publix will be earning all my business from now on. read more

I chanced upon this Kroger when I was about 30 minutes early for a meeting just down the street. I was in desperate need of quick internet to knock out some work while killing time. I saw that they had a starbucks inside and my fingers were crossed for some free wifi!! The inside of this Kroger is super nice, clean, and feels brand new. They had a small free-standing starbucks counter with a huge lounge area right in the front of the store. In addition to finding a cozy seat next to a faux-fireplace, I was thrilled when I found on my ipad there was free wifi! And it was speedy! Who knew?! In Kroger!! I was able to knock out a bunch of emails and do some online research in the 30 minutes that otherwise would have been wasted. You seriously made my day, Alpharetta Kroger :) Kudos! read more

I think Kroger is the most aggressive of the big chains, at least in the Southeast. The are willing to pay to keep your loyalty. Thy remodeled this store and added better fresh food and deli sections. Big store and well stocked. read more

This is in regards to the Kroger's on Winward Parkway. I've dealt with rude cashiers before. Normally I simply shrug it off and move on with life, rarely ever complaining. However, I had an experience with a cashier at Kroger's that was so unpleasant, that I actually called the store to discuss the incident with a manager (I'll get to his reaction in a moment). The cashier was a young woman who basically rolled her eyes at me throughout the entire transaction. She was abjectly rude to the point where it was almost comical. After I left the store, I called customer service and asked to speak with a manager. I politely explained the situation, informed him that an employee working the express lane was extremely unpleasant, and that while I wasn't out to get her fired, he should probably address her behavior. His reaction? In a monotone voice, he explained their customer service policy, that Kroger values your business, and that he would speak to the employee in question. It almost sounded like he was reading a script, leaving me with the impression that nothing would be done. This isn't the only rude interaction I've had with a Kroger's employee, but it's definitely the worst. That being said, I'll gladly shop at Publix from now on, where employees are nice and respectful, and appear to actually enjoy their jobs. read more

Aesthetically, a great store now that it has been remodeled, BUT the management should require the deli/hot foods workers to wear plastic gloves. As I approached to order food, the worker was cleaning and then told me to take the item from the "prepackaged" containers. The serving was too much for one person, and I declined. She then squatted on the floor-digging around for a plastic container. Finally, when she began to spoon my food, I realized she was NOT wearing gloves, AND her fingernails were nasty! Later, I gave the items to the cashier and told told her I didn't want to purchase them. read more

I am a mom and wife raising children and running a household. Needless to say I grocery shop often and stop in multiple times during the week for and item or two. I have shopped at Grasslands Kroger for years. It has been my favorite in years past and I have never lacked for anything. That has changed drastically!! I am always leaving without something I could not find due to the store not stocked. One example is Hawaiian Rolls. They used to carry them all the time but now it is rare for me to find them. I have gone through weeks of searching through shelves for the box or can that has not been damaged by either shipping or stocking. They have great sales clerks and then all of a sudden they will all be gone so I don't know if they bring them from other locations for short period of times? I have discovered the location on Bethany that is Amazing, Beautiful and Fully Stocked!!! I am hopeful they will renovate Grasslands to meet the par that Bethany has set. read more
