I was planning to order a Tiramisu cake today at the Publix bakery because they make great cakes usually. However, when I called the bakery, the lady who answered the phone was quite rude. I wanted to know about the different sizes I can order the cake in. She didn't let me ask questions and I had to repeat my questions multiple times. She was in a hurry to hang up on me. I will not be ordering from this Publix bakery. I hope someone trains this lady on how to talk to customers. Please explain which dingbat in corporate decided to close this store in downtown Alpharetta at 4 o'clock on a Monday because there was a potential for an ice storm two days prior. I am very familiar with risk management but whoever made this decision did not count that there would be multiple people screaming and yell yelling in the parking lot because it was the dumbest decision that could be made. The problem you have is that if you'll make this much of a stupid decision over whether that is an inclement, what other stupid decisions will you make? Let the meat go bad? Change the date on the Fish? By lesser quality vegetables? If I can't trust you to not be stupid in an operational question, how do I trust you to make appropriate food safety decision decisions? read more

Literally the worst Publix deli i have ever been to. Every. Single. Time I have made an online sandwich pick up, they without fail make a terrible monstrosity. Lazy. Skimpy. Wrong Order. Missing ingredients. Old and I mean incredibly old bread. Make a sandwich out of stale croutons and you'll know what i mean by old bread. Who is running this deli? Maybe pull up a youtube video of what a sandwich is. You suck at your job. Take some pride in what you do and run the deli correctly. People do not need to spend money with you and I advise people to go to any other deli. Do not waste your money on this crap. read more

I've been shopping at this store for several years. It's reliable and the employees are kind. Their vegetables sometimes do not last long so make sure you'll eat them in the next few days after purchase. Their bakery always provides cakes that do not disappoint! I downloaded the Publix app and use it to clip "digital" coupons and review the weekly ad. Great way to easily save a few dollars! Also, ask for paper bags when checking out- it's free and an easy way to reduce your plastic use! read more

This is a very clean and well managed Publix. The employees are very nice and helpful. They also seem to enjoy working there.

I'm so upset that of all places I just got racial profiles at this Publix. I was in the 10 items or less line, by accident, and the cashier very forcefully pointed out she could help my husband and I because we had more than 10 items. Didn't we see the sign, obviously not, sorry. So we had to pack everything back up in our cart. Mind you there was no one behind us. We get in the next line over, and I look over and the cashier is taking another customer, Caucasian lady, with a cart that had more groceries than ours. So you talk down to me like I'm dumb but help the white lady. Hmmm, is that what's it's like here Alpharetta? So disappointed in how they treated us at Publix, will not be shopping there again. read more

The whole store gets one star simply for my experience with the woman in the bakery. I was looking into ordering two dozen cupcakes for my daughter's birthday and the blonde woman with the accent was very short with me and never stopped to actually speak to me. She never greeted me, I had to speak to her first and any information I tried to get I had to probe for it until she walked all the way to the back of the bakery mid-conversation and I finally walked away. Extremely rude! For a store that is so well known for their customer service, your bakery lady needs new training or a new job! read more

I called a head asking for crispy chicken wings. The assaulted that took my order said no problem. When I picked up the wings he poured extra extra salt on them. This is a low life move. I'm at Publix at 6:30PM to order deli for the school week & you would think management will have more than 1 employee at the deli counter. THEY ARE CLEANING!!! I keep asking what time does Publix close because why are they cleaning the deli machines at 6:30PM? Why are they cleaning the deli during rush time before a school night? This is my preferred work location Publix. The people seem genuinely friendly and happy all of the time. I spoke with Rosa in the deli section and she helped me with an order of birthday pinwheels and suggested that I get them fresh from her on 2/22/18 instead of buying the ones in the coolers. She kept smiling and reassuring me that she was there to help. Even though the other lady did not understand English well, she still kept smiling showing me here golden tooth. It was amazing! Very friendly people, great hot chicken and they also make some great cup cakes for company parties. read more

Publix is my go-to for subs. It has been for the last 20 years. Today, I picked up a sub to split with my neighbor. Whole Ultimate on multigrain. The gentlemen behind the counter said he would need to cut more meat or was it ok to use Boars Head? I replied Boars Head is fine. (note the cost of my sub just increased $2.00). He prepared my sub, I paid, and headed home. As my neighbor and I both took our first bite, it was clear something was not right. I will spare the details of what happened next. However, the meat used for this sub had seen better days. I am thankful that the taste of the initial bite was enough to halt eating anymore or we both would have ended up in the hospital. While on break, a friend and I stopped in at this Publix's SunTrust Location ( SunTrust bank is location on the inside ) and to grab a quick bite to eat, but this visit was not so pleasant. Steven the Deli Manager, politely looked completely over me & another young lady waiting to get assistance at the deli counter. He appeared to be busy when I first walked up, he didn't acknowledge either of us, but Denise and the gentleman cooking chicken in the back acknowledge and spoke right away. Steven immediately begin helping someone that clearly walked up after us, now I don't want to insinuate that it was a racial thing, but if it look like a duck and sounds like a duck,10 times out of 10, its a duck........ the woman that walked up behind me happen to be a caucasian woman, so the fact that 2 African American woman were standing there waiting to order food and a Caucasian woman walked up and he stopped what he was doing to make her sandwich right away, posed a problem for me and would make one think there might be some kind of intent. Denise ( a woman working in that department , extremely friendly ) came over to help after witnessing this herself. After ordering my food, I asked the cashier his job title and to hear that he was the deli manager was more of an insult. I am one of Publix's biggest supporters ( check my yelp record - lol ) I brag on their deli sandwhiches, cakes and chicken to everyone I know. It would be a shame if I began to feel uncomfortable going into this location, its right up the street from my workplace. The front end manager apologized to me after I expressed my concerns. This is a good Publix. Customer service is always great here in a ll departments. The produce department is always stocked well, and I have been asked EVERY single time if I needed any help (Either I must always look like I am lost or I must look like a a shoplifter). The aisles are always clean and neat. Decent wine department. The cashiers always standing in front of the registers to take the next person in line. THE NEW HOT SPOT FOR LUNCH! I have figured it out; When traveling in an area that is a bit desolate when it comes to choice restaurants, just find a Publix. Publix is great when it is between breakfast and lunch and you need a quick fix. This Publix is very open and clean and it does a brisk business during the lunch hour. You have a variety of options such as delicious soups, (with a list of recognizable ingredients posted right on the side), salads, sandwiches, flatbread and fried/baked chicken with sides. I appreciated being able to grab a hot snack and just eat it in the snack area. On a busy day, this just gives me time to focus and "get my bearings". However, some additions to this store would be great: A register next to the deli and a large vessel with child water and fruit juice. This would be perfect because it really is a bit inconvenient to stand in line all that time and then have to walk to the front, stand in line again and then walk to the rear again to enjoy lunch. There must be a better way! Also, I love the idea of a chilled beverage on a hot day. Still, this little store is a nice option and customer service was perfect today. read more

This Publix is generally a good one. The employees are mostly friendly and the shelves are usually well stocked. The cashiers are friendly and so is the management. I haven't had any problems with the bakery. The breads and pies have been perfect so far. I recommend their hoagie rolls and hamburger buns if you want to up the flavor of your food. The deli does a great job with their meats and subs. I think Publix has the best subs I've ever had. I won't go anywhere else if I can help it! The only criticism I have is for the baggers. For some reason they just didn't pay attention to the videos they watched when they were hired. Just today, one of them packed the milk (cold item) with cans of tomato paste (dry item) instead of packing it with the rest of the cold items. I've even stopped them (a while back) from packing a hot deli item with the ice cream!! I used to bag for Publix when I was in high school and never ever made that mistake. Not even once. I hope this is addressed soon since this is the last thing a customer sees, especially when they get home and unpack. Otherwise, I love this store and will continue my patronage for the foreseeable future. read more

This is where I shop for groceries the most. It is consistently clean and organized. The parking lot was just recently paved. The staff is VERY courteous and they always ask if you need help to your car. I never take them up on the offer, but I find it amazing how they always ask. Prices are okay. I usually find Kroger is a bit cheaper, but I prefer the layout of this store over Kroger off Windward. read more

Prices may be lower at other super markets, but you just can't beat the quality and value you get for your dollar at Publix. Their store brand products are high quality and often every bit as good as higher-priced name brands. Best of all, the customer service at this store is absolutely top-notch. I shop there every week, sometimes more than once, and I've never failed to find a friendly greeting and true customer-focused service. I feel like I know the employees personally because that's how they treat me and ALL their customers. They're not kidding when they say shopping at Publix is a pleasure. Can anyone explain why you installed so many CCTV cams in store recently? I don't count, but I will say at least 50-100 new cams are installed compared to last month. They are REALLY easy to tell (only about 9 ft off the ground, not on the celling). Really uncomfortable to customers. read more
