I am a Instacart shopper. I was at your location 12870 Hwy 9 in Alpharetta. I had a 3-part order. I parked the first completed order near the check out. I asked associate "Joy" if it was ok to leave it until I completed the other 2 orders. She said " sure." Approximately 10 minutes later I was finished and couldn't find the 1st cart. ALL items were restocked with direction from the self check out clerk. I don't know his name (elderly foreign gentleman gray hair). He works there regularly. I had to get the order cancelled by Instacart and didn't get paid. You need to train your employees better. read more

This store is chronically understaffed. Whether you have two items or 20, you will have to wait at least 2 to 3 people deep even at non-peak hours. Most recently I had to use the self checkout line that was stacked up six people deep waiting for my cart of 25 groceries. Then once I could finally ring them up, I was unable to pay for my purchase due to a quantity of items limit on the self check out. It took the store manager three attempts of doing the same thing to figure out we had to transfer the transaction to another unit which again was yet another learning curve. The checkout process at the store has gotten consistently worse in the past six months. Two weeks ago, I went into the same Kroger and at one point in time NO ONE IN THE TWO OPEN CHECKOUT LANES AND FIVE SELF CHECKOUT LANES COULD PROGRESS IN THE LINE AND WE'RE WAITING ON MANAGER APPROVALS. We have been coming to this Kroger for the past three years, and this location is one of our favorites! We use the drive up order and shop in store often and they always seem to have the things I need in stock, especially when other neighboring stores are often over shopped. The staff has always been super helpful and friendly, and one of the managers, Tony, is just the best. He is always looking for a way to make his customers happy and will always stop to have a conversation to just check in on his neighbors and give back to our community. I stopped by this Kroger to fill up on gas on my way to Echelon Golf Club. It's not far off Georgia 400 exit 11, Windward Parkway. This Kroger has a Kroger Fuel Center (gas station). The Kroger Fuel Centers I've been to around town are all small gas stations with approximately a half-dozen or so pumps. They're offshoots of the grocery stores and you can save money on gas by using your Kroger Plus membership. I have the Kroger app on my phone, but you don't really need the app if you have an alternate ID set up. You can punch your alternate ID into the machine when paying for gas. My alternate ID is my phone number. On this particular visit, using my Kroger Plus membership saved me $0.03 per gallon. The regular price for premium unleaded was $2.459 per gallon and the membership price was $2.429 per gallon. This Kroger Fuel Center has eight pumps and each carries the three usual grades of unleaded + diesel. These Kroger Fuel Centers are by no means a replacement for full-fledged gas stations with convenience stores, but if all you need is gas and perhaps a pack of cigs (?), these should suffice. This station has a small walk-up window to purchase items like auto supplies (e.g. oil), Red Bull, and lotto tickets. I visited early on a Sunday morning around 7:20 AM and learned something new. The attendant had opened the heavy fuel caps on the ground and was using absorbent pads to soak up water accumulation in the underground gas storage tanks. We needed stuff for our stay here. So I pulled up shipped and selected Kroger as my location. Lately it always seems like every place is out of something, but not this time... Our shopper was able to find every item we had on our list. And not just something like what I wanted but truly the item I asked for. It was such a great change! Not sure why the low rating but I've here a few times when I'm in the area and have never had any problems with my purchases. The store is off of highway 9 and Windward Parkway in a busy shopping strip. They share the parking lot with several businesses including Menchie's, Little Caesars, Subway, GNC, and a small eatery named Rosters. Right behind this strip mall there is another small strip mall with an Indian grocery store Madurai Foods. The store itself is neat and clean. The gas station attendant took my last $12.00. He inputted the wrong amount of $12.02 and cancelled the transaction. He said my money will return in a couple of days. The manager of Kroeger took his side and said there is nothing he can do. The manager and the attendant blame the cashier register for taking my money and then cancelling it. I asked them if someone could fix the machine. The manager said he called IT a while ago and there is nothing he can do. Customer service is so bad. I ordered 4 bottles of salad dressing via Kroger website to be shipped to my home. 2 of the 4 bottles broken in shipment. I asked for the broken bottles to be replaced and shipped without charge and the agent said, "our system does not provide a way to do this". So they refunded only the cost of the broken product. I submitted a complaint regarding the above and I was given a $10 credit on my 'loyalty card', however this coupon cannot be used with online orders. I was directed to go into a Krogers and I advised where I live in California and that I do not have a Krogers near me (95337 - which on my account). After a few more email exchanges I decided to call the 800 number given to me on one of my emails. The agent advised that there is no way to use the account credit online. I then explained to the agent that I don't have Krogers where I live. She advised that there was nothing that could be done, because "the system doesn't allow account credits to be used online". After extended patience, I became a bit agitated and insisted that there must be something that can be done to fix this. I don't want to pay for shipping twice - once for the original order and again for the replacement order. I suggested that since the website allows promo codes, perhaps they could give me a promo code to cover the shipping of the replacement order. After an extended hold, a 'manager' told the agent that I would be getting promo code emailed to me. I thought she said %50 on the phone - which would have covered the shipping cost for the replacement product. This coupon code ended up being 15% off promo code and only would have covered $1.65 of the $4.99 shipping cost to reship the two damaged bottles. Kroger needs to fix their system and provide a path for customer service to allow adjustments and reshipping of damaged product. This is essential if you want to have an online presence. read more

George, the guest service manager is a very rude, dishonest and unprofessional male that targets black female customers to harass, embarrase or enforce non policy rules. I wanted to purchase two money orders, using my debit card. George, lied and told me that the Krogers register commanded that he requests my identification, this was false. Kroger's do not have "any" policy posted for the public stating that "any" customer attempting to purchase a money order using a debit card must show their identification. George is not to be trusted. Be aware of your rights as a consumer and do not be afraid to exercise those rights when dealing with wicked employees at Krogers. read more

I just had an extremely bad experience with an online order from Marianos/Kroger. Their site misadvertised yogurt starter as costing $8.95 for a case containing 3 one-net ounce boxes of yogurt starter. I ordered four cases, so I should have received 12 net ounces. Instead, they only sent me four boxes of .6 net ounces each. They gave me only 20% of what I had paid for. Their customer service refused to help me at all, repeatedly telling me to contact the "seller." They had a link to the "seller" OxKom, but the link took me nowhere except to the Marianos/Kroger claim of the refund policy of the "seller," which simply does not exist. Marianos/Kroger says on its site that I can't get a refund by sending anything to Kroger. I have to send it to the "seller," which is only a dead link. Kroger charged my debit card and refuses to make good on its ad. It appears that Marianos/Kroger has some type of scam going, in which they simply rip customers off and use the lie that they aren't the seller. I actually tried to get what I had ordered, rather than a refund, but Kroger refuses to cooperate with me at all. read more

I've been to this grocery twice now and thought the first visit may have been just an off day, but it was the exact same experience. When I walk in the store it feels dirty and hasn't been cleaned in some time. When I look at the fruits and vegetables in the produce section, items are wilting and browning-spoiling on the edge of the bagged lettuce with a sell day being today or a day passed. When one walks down the aisle some sections are empty or one item is remaining when clearly it could accommodate an additional five. This will be my last visit, where I just relocated from was populated mainly with Ralph's which is in the same organization, but was far superior. In a few words it's a gross market. read more

This is my closest Kroger, which is cool because they always have pretty good Manager's specials in all departments. The Produce Department has a good selection, and also does a great job of marking things down quick. The cheese department has a lot of options, but sometimes needs more attention to it. Customer service is okay, no big hits or big misses. The natural foods section is large, the international aisle has a lot of variety. My review is solely about the pharmacy. I cannot begin to express what a well run pharmacy they have! Every single person, from the pharmacy manager to the technicians, are super friendly and really care about their customers. Every time a prescription is called in for me, it is literally within minutes that I receive an email, a text message, or a telephone call letting me know my prescription is ready to be picked up. The line: what line? If there is ever more than one person standing in line, all heads behind the counter focus on the customer. I'm referring to the busy pharmacists who are filling scripts. They have it right - the customer in front of you comes first. Each time I visit, I am greeted with a big smile by not only the pharmacy manager, but also, by the technicians. Again, this is a very WELL RUN pharmacy. My pharmacist is always available to answer any questions I have or address my concerns. Recently my mom passed away. Do you know that I received a beautiful sympathy card SIGNED by every person? Whose pharmacy does that? I love my pharmacy and would not think about changing. They have spoiled me! read more

WHY CAN'T THIS KROGER BE MY KROGER? I wish that this store was my neighborhood Kroger but it isn't. My store is rather small and dated, while this one is larger, better stocked and has the extras that make it a pleasure to shop here. I love the location of this store because it is conveniently located at Windward and Highway 9 and is a good choice for purchasing produce and other items. There are always items for sale so make sure that you grab the weekly sale circular as you enter the store. This Kroger has a great selection of gourmet as well as regular food items. My husband and I visited after 5pm and found that the hot foods in the deli looked fresh even though it was late. This store has just about everything you could possibly want except: ground turkey breast. They have carried it in the past but this time I could not find any indication that they even continue to stock it. No problem. This is still a nice store with a huge wine selection, a nice eat-in area next to the deli, and plenty of natural/organic items. Even though the store was busy, it was easy getting in and out with the self-check register. When necessary, you can also get gas as this location has gasoline pumps as well. read more

The remodel here in my opinion is Not for the better. Instead of having all the gallon teas In one area they are in different areas, weird. When I went by the deli I only Saw lunch meats and cheese behind the counter, no place to make you a sandwich, no cold pastas , things like they usually had. Are all Kroger's doing away with that? Also I was in a line with an actual cashier and the young woman In front of me being checked out, was on her cellphone Instead of paying for her items and the cashier was looking at her too like what the hell are you doing, but the young woman had her back to us and I Almost said something to her but then thought better of it, don't want to be on world star nor any social media so I didn't say jack. She finally got off her stupid phone and paid and then left. If she was checking her funds which really should of been done BEFORE you checkout , but she could of told that to the cashier, me the person behind her waiting , and I would of been fine but was kind of rude to act like nobody was behind her waiting . If you want to be able to get your prescriptions, I suggest going somewhere else. They never have anything in stock and will send you to the Crabapple location every single time. They told me I should be patient because they are busy giving covid vaccines, which I would understand had this not happened twice pre covid. So don't waste your time with the worthless and rude staff who apparently can't stock their pharmacy, just go to Crabapple. It's where they'll send you anyways. read more

I visited this location earlier today. We were trying to check ourselves out thru self check out station. When we inserted the credit card, the machine was giving us an error message and no matter what we did, it would not go through. We eventually asked for help, Maria was on duty. She rudely pointed out that it's our fault since we took a banana out while the system was processing our request. When I tried to explain to her that it was giving us the error BEFORE we took the banana out, she rolled her eyes and repeated her accusation. She assisted us with an attitude and left. Awful customer service! Maria definitely needs a lot of coaching on how to talk to customers. We will never go back to this location again. read more

Typically shop a Publix but was in the area & thought I would give this Kroger a second try (against my better judgement). Had a list of 15 items and Kroger was out of 12 of them. These were not sale items, or items that are unusual. Managed to pick up 3 items that were out of date (1 extremely out of date) and didn't belong on the shelf at all. Not an employee anywhere to be found that could be asked a question. No one at customer service desk. Self check-out only and no human beings in sight except for the manager hovering upstairs above the checkout area staring at a computer screen. Numerous customers at check-out because we waiting in line for an available self check out. No attention whatsoever given to the customers or the store. Now I recall the reason I always go to Publix. I'd even go to Wal-Mart before returning to this Kroger again. Lightbulb moment. read more

I am done with this Kroger location on Hwy 9. Lucy, a young and unpleasant woman not only doesn't acknowledge & it greet one when we approve her register but also throws the food around. I had to repeatedly ask her not to toss the milk carton as it leaks in the fridge when we get it home . She was shoving our bread into the bags as if it were hay. The ribs were shoved into a bag and the packaging ripped before we could get them home . She ( Lucy ) always has the resting B face, passive aggressive and very disrespectful. If, we stop coming into your store Lucy , you won't have a job. The majority of employees here are miserable and rude . Been coming here for 13 years and the service has gone downhill . I will go back to Publix even if it's a little drive for me but it at least they respect their customers and understand that without us , they wouldn't have jobs . read more

The customer service at this location continues to decline. George is one of the managers and his attitude is awful and he has very poor customer service. This then trickles down to his employees. I was question after leaving the store today whether or not to had my receipt in other words the cashier that was working the self checkout line was basically accusing me of stealing. I have lived in this area and shopped at this store for seven years and again the customer service level has dramatically declined. The Kroger corporate office needs to take notice and review some of the other comments not only on yelp but other sites as well. They need to take a lesson from Publix in terms of customer service. Stopped by to get a couple things and decided to get some wine and champagne. They had one of my favorite champagnes and the associate agreed it was a good one. He also suggested a comparable label- which i bought. I also asked if they carried Sonoma cutere and they did. Something that Publix doesn't carry and I usually have to make a trip to Total Wine. I was so excited. He also suggested another buttery wine and I bought that one too. It was such a great visit and I appreciate the customer service. I gave it four stars because they are renovating near the pharmacy section and the place was a bit of a mess but I know it's temporary. read more

I'm surprised there's not a single review for this Kroger! I prefer Kroger to other grocery stores because of the weekly specials they offer, the discounted manager's specials, and the chance to acquire fuel points with each purchase. This Kroger, in addition, is really awesome. It is big, clean, and really nice. The shelves are always stocked and they have a lot of variety. My only complaint is that the staff is not that nice, specially at the cash registers. The people at the specialty places like the deli and bakery are pretty nice, but the cashiers always look very downtrodden, it's kind of weird. Not a big issue, though, and this Kroger is still a great grocery store. read more
